"Hotels was great service was fab and food in restaurant great. Only thing missing is a jacuzzi in the spa. Our trip was spoilt by the reception charging us twice for our accommodation. Already paid via trip.com and then got home to discover the hotel had also charged directly. Despite informing Hotel of this error on day of departure, a week later and multiple tel call we still haven’t the money returned to our account. As a result we will not be returning as very poor post trip customer care!"

"Nice enough hotel good large clean room and bathroom. We didn't eat in the evening but did have an excellant breakfast. A couple of people we were talking to said their breakfast was slow service so we expected that but everything was great. Slight issue was slowish bar service as only one person working Played golf on a lovely course which is quite challenging but very enjoyable. Looking forward to heading there again later in the year"

"The estate is beautiful, a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the splendor of the Borders area. The customer service was excellent from the front desk and from all the wait staff with special kudos to Hubert and Gabi. The food - trust me do the dinner tasting menu - and breakfast were absolutely delicious. We immediately realized one night was not enough and added a second night. Wish we could have stayed a week. Great value for the price. Easily our favorite food and accommodations of our two week trip to Scotland!"

"We were offered an upgrade to a suite at a much reduced rate and accepted the offer. The room was huge comfortable and well equipped for a pleasant stay. However the room and bathroom looked as if they hadn't been used for a while. In need of an update and tired it also could have been cleaner. A bit disappointing. On saying that the rest of the hotel was very clean, comfortable and welcoming. Staff were all helpful and friendly, and attentive. The food was excellent and the menus had a great selection to choose from. I would definitely visit again, but as the standard rooms are more modern and comfortable I would ask to view any room before agreeing to any update"
