"We thought we would have a nosey here, whilst on our first travels to Northern Ireland. Such a beautiful location and lovely little town. The hotel gives mixed impressions on arrival. The building is a very strange design for guests. With an open area to the front and uncovered walkway to the rooms and so many doors that surround it, it must be awful when the weather is bad, if you've gotten dressed and hair done for dinner. It looks like apartments rather than a hotel. No cohesion. The reception team were very friendly , Sharon and James, however, their very professional welcome and standards were let down by a scruffy receptionist lurking in the lobby. There was space in the restaurant for lunch, but we decided to eat in the bar, where you can actually see some of the views across the golf course and towards the town. The food was well presented and tasty, and on properly warmed plates. A great selection of spirits, but at the prices they charge, I would expect something more inventive with the cocktails. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. Adam looked after us in the bar and gave us tips on local places to visit. Overall, the Lodge is welcoming, warm and cosy, with some lovely staff. The only cause for negative mentions was that the ambience was just not there, cocktails are poor, the lack of identity of the place and the scruffy staff on arrival which did not indicate a 5 star standard."

"We really enjoyed our stay here – the hotel has a cool, funky vibe with lots of character and thoughtful design touches (maybe a little OTT, but hey...it's different). It feels modern but still cosy, which is a great combination. A highlight for me was the Lavazza coffee in the room – such a nice touch and definitely elevated the whole experience. Little details like this made it feel high quality throughout. The bathroom was also lovely – clean, well-designed, and felt quite premium. Everything was well maintained and comfortable. The only thing I’d change? I wish I had booked a room with a view – it would have made the stay even better! So definitely worth considering when booking. Breakfast was served and was a great way to start the day – good quality and nicely presented. Overall, a really enjoyable, high-quality stay. Would happily return (next time with a view!"
