Maitei Posadas Hotel & Resort

Maitei Posadas Hotel & Resort

📍 Av. Ulises López s/n, Posadas
★★★★ 7.1 (12 reviews)

"I liked the hotel in general regarding all the services, especially the friendliness of the staff. It is approximately 500 meters from the Posadas airport and far from the city center."

Hotel Continental

Hotel Continental

📍 Bolívar 1879, Posadas
★★★ 7.8 (33 reviews)

"This hotel is well located for the city centre and you can walk about 20 minutes to the river. The bus terminal is further and you will need a cab. No trains were running when we visited and we couldn’t find out if this was permanent or seasonal. The catering was super for breakfasts. The team were friendly and helpful with my gluten free dietary needs. The big factor letting this hotel down was the noise! The doors all had to be banged to open or shut them…the hard flooring meant voices and footfall was loud….the windows did not shut out street noise at all and, because of the rain, it felt like golf balls were being thrown at the window once the beeping horns and shouting outside had stopped! Not restful."

Hotel City

📍 1754 Colón COLON 1754, Posadas
★★★ 8.1 (8 reviews)

"Seems nicer online. Very basic rooms with terrible pillows that need better deep cleaning (such as the wooden doors to hallway and bathroom). No coffee maker, cups, hand soap at sink, or tissues. Remote control to TV was broken (the channel button was missing). Breakfast was basic but fine. Sat outside under a lot of loose wires that I assume were low voltage! Looks over the park, which is very nice. Entrance seems like a hostel check-in, with one person behind a desk with a plastic guard. The price was ridiculous -- we paid about $150/night which was 3x what it should have been."

La Mision Posadas

La Mision Posadas

📍 Avda Luis Quaranta 6150, Posadas
★★★ 7.9 (30 reviews)

"A hotel with everything; good price and quality. Good size tickets, with gardens. Very good breakfast. Location a little away from the centre of Posadas, but that's not a problem. All worked well. It also features breakfast and restaurant. The staff is very friendly and efficient."

Julio Cesar Hotel

Julio Cesar Hotel

📍 Entre Ríos 1951, Posadas
★★★ 7.4 (11 reviews)

"I was a walk-in customer at Hotel Julio Cesar in Posadas and requested a room-rate for two nights. Without hesitation the receptionist gave me two options: 1) pay with cash (cheaper) or 2) pay with card (more expensive). The difference in price being roughly 20%. Because I had no cash, I opted to pay with card, based upon the understanding that foreigners paying with a foreign card are exempt from VAT (IVA in Spanish). Upon check-out I requested the invoice, which did not state any VAT (IVA) and I was charged under option (2) above. Where did the VAT/IVA go? Immediately after having entered my room, I was looking for the evacuation plan and the emergency exit. Could not find any exit signs on the 8th floor. I therefore went down to the reception to inquire about emergency exits. The receptionists looked surprised and one of the receptionists followed me to the 8th floor, where she showed me a worn white door with no sign of emergency exit on it. I asked if it was locked. She opened it and showed me the staircase. In case of an emergency, there would have been panic among guests, because of lack of evacuation plans and lack of signs of emergency exit. I always look for emergency exits, because I have personally experienced an evacuation in the middle of the night at a hotel in New York. That was no fun and I learned from it. My room was large with two big windows and the bed was fantastic. Breakfast was very good and wi-fi strong. No English language news channels on TV."

Hotel Urbano Posadas

Hotel Urbano Posadas

📍 Bolívar 2176, Posadas

"This hotel is definitely a transit hotel, but at the time of booking they don't inform you that the room may or may not have a mini-fridge, even if you pay the same price for the room. When we arrived tired from a long trip, we even had to sleep without fresh water because the mini-fridge issue in one of the rooms wasn't resolved until the next day. Another problem was the bed sheet with brownish stains that took a long time to be changed. The problem was only resolved for the second night, and only that night. Another problem was the service at the hotel restaurant. We arrived late, around 10 pm, after a 13-hour drive, and asked if the restaurant was open. We were told yes, but that they would only serve sandwiches at that time. We hadn't had lunch... Imagine our dissatisfaction. I went to bed without eating. But my husband and friends went out to dinner because, since they take medication at night, it would be impossible to go to bed without dinner. Luckily, in the city of Posadas, the restaurants close later and serve good food."

La Mision Posadas ★★★
"Very good place to stay. The room was big and clean and comfortable. There are complimentary teas, but also, everything you need to make mate (cup, herb, spoon, kettle). I got to make and drink my first mate at this hotel, so the experience was a special one for me. There is a large pool outside, and plenty of parking. The cute friendly dog was a nice little bonus too. Would absolutely stay here again."

Hotel Urbano Posadas ★★★★
"I found the booking a bit difficult as I hadn't used this site before. When we arrived, everything seemed fine, but we were put in a room with carpet and an incredibly bad smell. We complained at reception, and the receptionist promptly moved us to a room with laminate flooring, which was perfect. I think the issue of carpeting is a thing of the past in the hotel industry."
