"The hotel is situated in a very quiet area 3km from Pula, accessible by car or bike (it is not possible to walk from Pula due to the type of roads). Owing to the location, the atmosphere is incredibly peaceful and the hotel itself is calm, tastefully decorated and feels 'boutique'. Pula itself is a great place to visit! We saved quite a lot of money so we could pay for the most expensive room with a small private pool to make the experience really special. We felt the room was beautifully furnished and the pool was an exciting extra - we had sole use of it, however it wasn't completely private as another room overlooked it directly, which was a little disappointing. Paying the price we did, it felt a little grating to have to pay for room extras e.g. minibar contents, particularly as the water from the taps was always warm and so was unpleasant to drink. A few little details could be improved to make the experience really special. For example, the shower had no light inside , which meant we had to shower in semi-darkness, which was not ideal. It also lacked ventilation, so we had to prop the door open using the bathroom bin every day to stop it smelling dank as it did when we first arrived. We stress this wasn't because it wasn't clean, and just an issue with ventilation. The room was very clean overall! Additionally, only one socket in the room took a standard EU adaptor, which for guests from outside the EU is a little frustrating. Finally, the lights on the air conditioning and WiFi router were very distracting at night and we had to block them with an assortment of pillows. On the flip side, The breakfast spread is extravagant and the pastries were delightful! Additionally, we were very grateful to the professional, friendly and multilingual staff who were always very happy to help us out. We discovered that the hotel has plans to develop over the next year and are confident that with a few tweaks it can become a truly superb place to visit!"

"We stayed here for the last two nights of our cycling holiday. The hotel was clean, quiet and a few minutes walk from the centre of Pula, so an ideal location. Our room was comfortable with a small balcony. The friendly receptionist recommended several restaurants and the two we ate at were excellent. Pula itself was a lovely small town and we really enjoyed our stay there. It had a large square where the locals with their families congregated enjoying the friendly atmosphere. The square had plenty of restaurants and bars with lots of outside seating, perfect for enjoying the warm evenings and people watching"

"The hotel was lovely on the inside but needs some tlc outside in the grounds. The pool area is poor with cheap AstroTurf surrounding the pool which was very uneven. Lots of seagulls using the pool as a bath so lots of bird excrement all over the astro. Lots of mature weeds all over the stoned area between the carpark and the pool, very untidy looking. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Bedroom and bathroom extremely comfortable. Hotel is small and a car would be needed as its about 40min walk into Pula. 8min walk to the beach. Bikes available at the hotel."

Naturally, she was thrilled, too, and ten years later, we'd definitely choose the same hotel again. The hotel is even more beautiful, with meticulous attention to detail, and the staff is always fantastic: kind, fun, and super professional, even with the little ones! The expanses of green lawns provide a priceless sense of tranquility. We'll see you again soon!"

"We book a stay for 3 nights at the hotel, when we are checking in we get told that the pool is out of order and that they are not sure when it will reopen again. They are saying probably in the next coming days. I then told the receptionist that we want to cancel our reservation. Unfortunately they didn’t see the out of order pool as a problem and wouldn’t refund our money. It is 32 degrees Celsius here on Sardinia and we booked a 4 star hotel with a pool, but just got a room. After arguing with them for a time the pool is suddenly “working” again but has “wrong color” but we can use it. Ya right!"

"My wife, our two kids 9 and 11 and myself had an epic experience at the Forte Village. I had done a lot of research about the resort and had very high expectations. The resort, staff, and every thing completely exceeded my expectations. The kids love riding bikes around the resort, going from pool to pool or to the beach or the sports complex. The organized sports was top notch. The beach was beautiful, the room was clean and we had both a front and back yard. It is a true village that keeps everyone entertained. The staff everywhere were very pleasant and nice. The staff at the Buffett were amazing! The location of the resort is somewhat in the middle of nowhere, however, there really isn’t much need to go off campus if you utilize all the amenities. The spa was fantastic and a necessity when staying at the Forster village. Staying at the resort isn’t cheap, however the value is very very high. We cannot wait to come back next summer! Thank you from the Lavoignet’s."

"This is a delightful little hotel near the centre of Pula. The rooms are styled in a contemporary way, and are light,spacious and bright. Staff are helpful and kind. Breakfast is downstairs,and is an excellent array of continental food,with lots of fresh fruit. "It's a beautiful, well-equipped facility, the food is good, the cocktails aren't the best, but ultimately it's truly family-friendly. I wanted to leave a review for Mr. Luca, who I often found downstairs in the breakfast area, and he always served me, making himself available for everything. What made me happy was that one day in the height of August, very hot, I needed ice to transport the milk from one beach to another. I have a very small child, so I turned to him and he lent me some ice lollies, very kindly. ❤️ As for the rest, I'm not giving it five stars because, by mistake, I fell to the floor in the hallway. There was a long rug in front, I didn't see it and I tripped with my daughter. For the rest, everyone was helpful and kind. I recommend it."

"This is a harder review to make in my 71-country visits. Arriving at the hotel, I was buzzed-in to the property's foyer only to discover I would need to use the lift to go one floor up to reception. I was happily-greeted by two very pleasant reception staff who expedited my check-in & took me to my room, showing each area. At breakfast the next morning, I was cheerfully-greeted by the breakfast staff who showed me their offerings. I found the 5 breakfasts consumed there to be great but short of excellent given the absence of eggs other than cold, hard-boiled in addition to bacon or sausage not being offered. Simple additions such as these would go a long way in accommodating Western-country visitors. My room was spotless & the housekeeping staff were excellent and very attentive! Now, to comment on the overwhelming negative issue that caused the most disruption & grief for me; the incredible lack of English-speaking staff save for one male receptionist. Whether it was asking a question about the pool or asking for a taxi or inquiring about a tour or a query about attractions nearby, EVERY conversation was exhausting save for the male receptionist whom I only saw/had interaction with once during my 6-day stay. Each dining/reception staff member tried their hardest, often apologizing. I'd stay here again if more English was spoken. ALL staff were great and I recommend this hotel if English isn't an issue! BTW, hotel is NOT near Cagliari. It's far South in Pula."

"What a paradise! From the moment we arrived with friendly, helpful staff, through the immaculate grounds, gardens, facilities and to the bungalow we stayed in, we were amazed and pleased. Travelling with 3 kids there was plenty to do for the little ones (pools, slides, kids club, shows, football / basketball courts, go carts, beach) and for the adults (child minding, bars and pools overlooking the aquamarine sea, shops and massage/spa). 5 days was barely enough to take advantage of it all. Half-board food was excellent, we did not get sick of the variety and quality on offer every morning and night. A must stay if you can swing it, budget extra for the huge range of activities. As a side note, we attended in June, it seemed less busy than it probably would get during summer holidays - which worked well for us as there were no queues or crowds. Thank you Forte Village for an amazing family holiday."
