"This is probably the best located homestay in Chengyang Bazhai, right next to the first bridge entering the scenic area, and next to it is the national protected covered bridge. Quiet, close to the bridgehead for dinner or a short walk into the village. The boss is nice and provides pick-up and drop-off. Travel during off-peak hours before National Day. The room is in a wooden building and is average, but the side view room has windows on both sides, a private room and a balcony. The off-season room rate is absolutely worth it."

I hope the hotel can work with local police to improve security in the surrounding area, and that a gate can be installed for the parking lot."

"Advantages: Friendly front desk service, spacious rooms, excellent location near Fengyu Bridge, convenient for eating in many restaurants nearby. Disadvantages: The facilities are too old, the room has a strong odor, the pillow is too high and the neck hurts when sleeping, the quilt is too thick and not breathable, and the air conditioner in the room does not cool at 27 degrees. A few simple things don't taste good. When I went down to eat at 8 o'clock, there was no millet porridge, and it was not added. In short, the breakfast was too bad. Receiving group tourists, four or five bear children chased, ran, jumped, laughed and played in the corridor at around 9 o'clock in the evening. The guests of the 4 rooms opened their doors and made loud noises and walked around. At around 22 o'clock, I called the front desk many times to reflect the situation. Finally, they stopped talking in the corridor, but the slamming of the door tortured you until midnight. Because I was too tired from driving for a long distance, I really didn't have the energy to change places to live, so I could only bear it. The so-called "State Guest House" in name only."

"What should have been a pleasant trip turned into a nightmare because of a room issue. As a long-time customer of this hotel, I've never experienced a hotel rejecting my booking two hours after I successfully placed and paid for it. They didn't even contact me to discuss changing to a different room type. When I finally discovered the rejection and called to inquire, they claimed that I listed the product without knowing if the hotel had rooms available, causing a discrepancy in information between the three parties. The front desk staff were rude and dismissive, saying things like, "Go ahead and complain if you want." Is this the kind of service training they give to star-rated hotels? Due to various reasons, I eventually chose this hotel again. They told me they had the room type I had booked before, but I had to pay 211 yuan more than my initial booking. The experience after checking in was truly appalling. The room was old, the sheets were torn, the shower water was inconsistently hot and cold, and I found lipstick stains on my coffee cup at breakfast—it hadn't been cleaned properly. There was even a large fly in the corn salad area. It was disgusting. I will never go back."
