Hôtel Inn Design & Restaurant Le Mans ★★

"This is a basic 2 star motel, but that is reflected in the price. In an industrial area, but next to a fabulous lake, perfect for a walk. Great location for the 24 Museum. Free parking. Very nice staff. Room is compact. Great to get tea/coffee facilities."

Hôtel du Domaine de La Groirie - le Mans ★★★★

📍 La Groirie, Trange

"Beautiful country chateau, charming spot which felt like a escape from everything! The atmosphere is relaxed and the decor in the rooms is really charming. The staff were really helpful and welcoming! A highlight was getting a tour of the beautiful chateau by the owner who was so passionate about their project! Would really recommend! It is a lovely family business and we really enjoyed our stay. The only down side is there is no restaurant on the site. They do however do lovely meat and fish platters! Thanks so much for a really great stay to all the staff- Philippine and Charlene especially! Wishing you every success, from the Theunissens "

Hôtel Mercure le Mans Centre ★★★★

📍 19 Rue Chanzy, Le Mans

"The hotel was created out of a large insurance company office. The common spaces are well done, but the rooms are pretty basic. The online photos make them seem better than they are. That said the staff is amazing and the bar was a fun place to hang out. Parking lot connects to the lobby. Very convenient. "

Château de Saint Paterne ★★★★
"This was our second visit and again we had a wonderful stay. The Chateau is just gorgeous the attention to detail and the decor is perfect you really feel like you are getting to experience a real French Chateau. We travelled with 2 children 9 and 11 who enjoyed the pool, badminton, table tennis and the lawn. They ate early made a couple of friends the same age who went off to play together whilst we could enjoy the evening meal outside it was such a perfect end to our road trip summer holiday. We wished we could have stayed for the second night but we will certainly be back again. Thank you so much"

Hôtel du Domaine de La Groirie - le Mans ★★★★
"My husband and I stayed at this beautiful Chateau recently and it was absolutely magnificent. Our room was beautiful and the bathroom was out of this world, huge in size with both a bath and shower. The room was beautifully decorated and incredibly cozy on what was a very cold January day! The grounds are magnificent and given its location, it is incredibly quiet and charming. The staff were superb - Charlain who checked us in spoke English beautifully and was ever so helpful, organising a bottle of champagne and a platter of wonderful meats and cheese for dinner. Madame Gaetane Durand, the owner of the chateau was wonderful and cooked us a delicious breakfast early the next morning before we left. She was truly delightful and she and her team have created an absolutely beautiful haven in Le Mans. We did only stay the one night but we look forward to returning and I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel, a real gem."

Hôtel Mercure le Mans Centre ★★★★
"A beautiful 'belle epoque' hotel sadly let down by its bedrooms and a strangely industrial restaurant. My room was old, lacking amenities (power sockets, safety accessories such as a non slip mat for the shower, only one chair in a double room and no desk light) and was in need of serious renovation. The lift did not operate correctly from our floor (apparently due to a missing part!). The restaurant named 'Shalimar' I assume after the 16th Century Shalamar Gardens in Lahore, renowned for their beauty, is a dark and depressing place with a steam punk industrial theme - so a bit of a mismatch there - however the food served was good. This beautiful 'grande dame' of a hotel deserves better and is certainly ready for a thoughtful refurbishment."

Logis Hotel de France ★★★
"We stayed at the hotel for 1 night due to unfortunate circumstances with a car breakdown on the A28. After a very stressful day, my family and I arrived at the hotel and were welcomed. The room was nice and the shower excellent. We ate at the restaurant that evening and were somewhat surprised by the quality of the French cuisine that was served. It was simply marvellous. The following day we had to check out but due to the ineptitude of the AA, we were struggling to get plans put in place to fix the car and get back to the UK. The hotel kindly offered to let us use the room past the 11am checkout. The staff here are friendly and so helpful - I cannot recommend this hotel enough on this basis. It certainly made a stressful situation a lot easier and we extend our thanks to all the staff at the Hotel de France. I wouldn't hesitate to use this hotel again in the future if I was in the area."
