"Increasingly disappointed with Club Marmara. The hotel is old. Beautiful view. The sea is nearby with a free shuttle train. The staff is unwelcoming. This is the first hotel where the cleaning staff and restaurant staff don't say hello. As for the restaurant, it's repetitive, tasteless, and there's always less meat when you arrive. Poorly managed portion sizes. Beware! Don't listen too much to the Marmara representative who tries to sell you expensive and pointless excursions. They also offer a bus for €5 per person to take you to Sciacca, but it only lasts 3 hours there, whereas if you go to the hotel next door for €1.20, you can go into town and come back whenever you want. Another thing they don't tell you: there's a superb market in Sciacca every Saturday morning. My advice: for people who can't handle long bus rides and walking, avoid the excursions, except for the pasta-making tour in Sciacca. There's no point in going to Mount Etna; the bus journey is too long, 4.5 hours on the way back is exhausting, and there's nothing to see at the top. It's also very expensive for the experience, as is the boat cruise; for the price, you could just swim in coves..."

"we stayed last weekend for a triathlon competition, the hotel had an agreement with the event. I found the reception staff unprepared, first of all they didn't give any information on the hotel services, I had to ask for the breakfast time, they hadn't foreseen a storage area where to put the bikes, they hadn't foreseen an advance breakfast time for the guests. athletes on race day, did not provide post-race support rooms to take a shower. The hotel pools are thermal and still too cold to swim with children, and obviously in the entire pool area but also at the reception there is a typical spa smell (rotten eggs), I would recommend the hotel to put flowers or perfume the reception. The mediocre breakfast, the undrinkable machine coffee, the croissants and hazelnut cream of very low quality, the simple daisy-type cakes and the empty croissants are good. The room is nothing special, the bathroom needs improvement, old sanitary ware. The only good thing is the location because it is close to the town and there is a beautiful equipped beach underneath the structure."

"Just had a lovely week at Il Marchese - we found the staff to be fantastic, particularly Elviro who provided an excellent breakfast every morning and was so helpful! The pool area is lovely - sun beds perhaps not the best though. You can get great paninis and focaccia through the day and there is a pool bar. The hotel is in such a peaceful location although you definitely need a car as there isn’t too much close by. The room was a good size but I can’t give 5 stars as we had a couple of issues - the shower didn’t work very well and we often had to hold the operating knob so it would stay on. We also had a problem with the toilet not re-filling but we were able to fix it. There were quite a few ants at one point but the cleaners put an ant trap in the room which helped. We got massages on two occasions and they were lovely! We didn’t use the spa but we saw the facilities whilst getting the massages and it looked like a nice area. We tried to book a joint spa session (80 Euro per couple for two hours) but we were told it was only available for a private booking which was 160 - we thought that was a bit expensive. All in all, we had a lovely stay and the staff were very accommodating. Would recommend if you are looking for a quiet location with the option to go to busy Sciacca which is about a 10 minute drive away."

"4-star hotel??? This hotel is very outdated and hasn't had even a minor renovation in a very long time. The room was a decent size, and the terrace was nice, but it felt old. Opt for levels -3 and -4 for a pleasant sea view. "-5, overlooking the gardens (no sea view), -1, below the restaurant, so quite noisy from 5:00 am (carts...). The restaurant doesn't live up to the "4-star" standard: Classic breakfasts, always the same, nothing very "appealing". Average food: There is "show cooking", but the meat and fish are far too overcooked... No beer on tap for 2 days. No cocktail menu. No bar at the pool or on the beach (except for an extra charge). No afternoon tea... If you want crepes and pancakes, don't come at the end of the season... In short, a very, very mediocre hotel. The food is like a canteen... (compared to many "4-star" hotels I've had the pleasure of staying in). However, it's worth noting: An exceptional location in a magnificent parkland with olive trees. The service and entertainment staff are "TOP-NOTCH". A very beautiful beach, easily accessible, and suitable for everyone." Accessible to people with reduced mobility thanks to a small train. Not recommended if you're looking for a truly exceptional 4-star hotel..."

"This hotel is located right next to the ZTL (limited traffic zone). It doesn't have its own parking, but there are several free or blue-lined parking lots nearby. Mr. Raffaele welcomed us with courtesy and professionalism. The room we booked was a superior room on the second floor (there are three floors, but the elevator goes all the way to the second). It was large, spacious, and recently renovated, with a beautiful bathroom, excellent toiletries, a small hairdryer (if you need a more powerful one, you can request one at reception), and a large minibar. We had a wonderful rest! The breakfast was simple, but also included gluten-free options. The price was fair for the quality of the stay. Highly recommended!"

"Casa Dell Aromatario is modern, light-filled, beautifully decorated with plants and has all the right touches. It appears that no expense was spared in constructing the B&B from an ancient church property. The room where you take breakfast has been carved out of rock and is an architectural beauty. Although it was too chilly to take advantage of the rooftop terrace it looks perfect for late afternoon drinks or just lounging and taking in the view. But what makes this place really special are the hosts, Silvio and his brother Carmelo. They are the most accommodating and helpful hosts with restaurant recommendations and other information and will do anything to make your visit as comfortable and enjoyable as possible."

"We stayed at this property together with a couple of friends, the choice turned out to be a great disappointment, very bad I would say... the structure was beautiful and well looked after (apart from the room full of mosquitoes without mosquito nets) but as soon as we arrived it was noticeable The arrogance, the distrust of the staff; once we checked in they demanded payment for the stay, when we got to the room we reported the lack of tablecloths and the owner, not believing what was said, came to check personally. The following morning (even though I had specified my lactose intolerance and reported that they would organized, I can't find anything) the staff with extreme condescension, showing me the automatic coffee machine tells me the following: everything without lactose... obviously I didn't have anything except the coffee... I ask for ham (the only one and I say the only one which I could have eaten with some slices of bread) and the lady brings me two small counted slices. I'll stop here so as not to tell you about anything else... never again... truly a bad experience...! I give some advice to the owner: more empathy with people and a crash course on allergies... "
