"A converted beach front villa in a charming quiet seaside resort. Clearly they had to gut the place as the lovely period exterior gives way to an ultra modern interior. All rooms I believe have sea front views and all amenities although the missing tiles and hole in our bedroom floor was a bit of a let down as was the bathroom mirror starting to deteriorate. Pleasant small pool and handy car park. Lots of eateries of all grades-nearby. A pleasant buffet breakfast . In all a great place for a few days by the sea and handy for touring the nearby baroque towns if you have a car."

"Charming old palazzo in the very heart of Scicli. High ceilings and authentic furniture. Only stayed for one night, but enjoyed the luxury. Very clean. Communication with our host was very good and they very kindly waited for us when we arrived late at night."

"The hotel complex is located on a hillside on the edge of Sampieri with the beach and hotel's café located a 20 minute walk down a lane. Reception, restaurant, bar , shop and other facilities including a conference room and beauty room are at the top of the site with the 11 accommodation blocks in the spacious well maintained grounds further down the hill along with tennis court, paddle ball courts and a fitness area. There is a large swimming pool and sun terrace immediately below the reception block. Electric buggies are available to drive guests around the grounds with a regular 15 minute service to and from the beach. Cars can be rented directly at the hotel and may be booked in advance of arrival on site. Rooms in the accommodation blocks are on 2 or 3 levels each with own terrace or balcony, and are spacious. The restaurant has meals on a buffet basis; choice, quality and quantity of local food are excellent. Service throughout is first class, the staff charming and helpful with nothing being too much trouble. Cleanliness everywhere is excellent. Being remote from any roads, the entire site is peaceful, the atmosphere added to by the many trees throughout. We stayed for a week in early May, the hotel was quiet and all of the staff made us feel most welcome. With no hesitation, we can say that this hotel is an ideal place to stay for visiting the beautiful Val di Noto area of south-east Sicily, and we would happily stay there again. "I’ll start with the good— Margherita. What a wonderful person and host. She went out of her way to help us with the issues we encountered and was just so kind and warm. I feel badly to say anything negative because she was so helpful, but these points are important to share. This hotel shouldn’t have a four star rating. It is very basic. Our room was quite run down, very small, worn furniture, dark bathroom with a very weird shower. But— The biggest issue is the parking. There simply isn’t any. The nearby lot is always full, and the street parking is impossible. I’d suggest not booking here if you are driving. The location is good for restaurants and access to town. And breakfast was good."

"This is one of the best hotel experiences I have had, in over 3 decades of frequent travel for work and leisure. The owners of the hotel and the entire staff are genuinely welcoming and kind. Cinzia and Dario (owners) go out of their way to support their guests in any way required, from car rentals to booking events and restaurants. The hotel is a renovated farmhouse and exudes a rustic charm. It has been decorated with sobriety and good taste in a rustic/industrial style. The location is excellent, with many important sites including Siracusa, Marzememi, and Catania, within an hour's drive. In the immediate surroundings, there are some lovely villages, including the nearby Scicli. Beaches also abound. A car is a must, however, because the nearest village - while only 2 km. away - is nevertheless not reachable on foot due to road/traffic conditions. Breakfast is offered every morning and consists in a selection of pastries, breads, cheeses, meats, frittata, spreads, homemade jams, etc. The bread is baked fresh daily and is delicious. It also comes in various forms, from rolls to focaccia and more. I highly recommend Roccaseta if you are looking for a beautiful, quiet place in natural surroundings, which nevertheless has access to the main sites, cities and towns of South-eastern Sicily."
