"The entire guesthouse is beautifully decorated with great design. The two ladies at the front desk were incredibly helpful, calling every day to ask if we wanted our room cleaned. The owner is also super nice! And the bartender lady is fantastic too; I ordered several drinks and they were all delicious, and she even brought them to my room. Since Shiping doesn't have a high-speed train station, we had to take a taxi to Jianshui, but the taxi driver tried to charge us more. When the owner found out, she helped us out, and in the end, she even drove us to the bus station so we could take an intercity bus to Jianshui. A huge thanks to the owner! During our stay, the owner, the front desk ladies, and the bartender were all incredibly warm and welcoming. If I get the chance, I'll definitely stay here again."

"The scenery in Shiping is comparable to that of Dali. The ancient town retains its original charm and isn't crowded. The hotel is very close to Yilong Lake, and the rooms have two walls of floor-to-ceiling windows, nestled amidst fields and countryside, offering beautiful views. The downside is the poor breakfast. While rice noodles are delicious in Yunnan, this place's was completely bland, lacking even salt, and the milk was made from powdered milk – unacceptable."

"Our room was quite spacious with a beautiful view. Located within the old town, it was convenient to get around and had plenty of places to explore and eat. Since our trip to Shiping was spontaneous, a day was enough to leisurely stroll through the old town. The guesthouse itself was small with limited amenities, and the breakfast was average. The bathroom had a slight odor, and there was some uncleaned trash in the corners. Because we stayed on the second floor, we had to carry our own belongings and luggage the entire time, as the guesthouse didn't offer any services. There was some noise from the neighboring guesthouse under renovation, but it was manageable with the windows closed. However, the price was reasonable, mainly due to its convenience."

"We stayed for a few days and gave positive reviews, but I have to complain about the hotel. Some of the so-called leaders lacked problem-solving skills, even worse than ordinary staff. We complained to the hotel that after breakfast, when we returned to our room, we suddenly saw someone coming out of our room. When we asked him why he hadn't greeted us before entering, he said he was checking for a leak. This was a bit baffling. I asked who he was, and he said he was a security guard. When we asked if there was a room mix-up—was it Building A or Building B?—he said he didn't know. We seriously suspected it was a thief, as he wasn't wearing a uniform or a name tag. When we complained to the hotel, the woman there said it was a minor matter and went on to boast about how good the hotel was. I said, "Couldn't they at least call ahead before entering the room? If everyone can freely enter and leave a guest's room, what kind of security is that?" They never seemed to have any ill intentions towards us. We were originally planning to stay, but we checked out immediately."
