"Kudos to Ctrip! The hotel I originally booked was unable to accommodate me, but their customer service team offered several alternative options and gave me ample time to rebook, all without any extra cost on my part. Their genuine effort to resolve the issue was highly appreciated. The hotel is easily visible once you exit the JR station; just follow the green-painted road. It's about a 10-minute walk, even with luggage in tow. The room was remarkably spacious, surprisingly so for a Japanese hotel! While the decor showed its age a bit, it was very well-maintained and immaculately clean. Shingu itself isn't a bustling town, and the streets were quite empty. However, I was surprised by how many guests were at breakfast. The breakfast itself was average taste-wise, but the selection was plentiful, so you could definitely get a full and satisfying meal."
