"The B&B is relatively close to Labrang Monastery. The B&B staff are warm and responsive to every request (I need a nail clipper). The B&B also provides a free dinner with two meals to choose from. The B&B does not have its own parking lot, so you need to park at the Labrang Monastery parking lot, which is about 200-300 meters away from the B&B. The breakfast is Tibetan-style, which I am not used to. There is no TV in the room and a lack of entertainment facilities. The location of the B&B is not easy to find. If you drive there, you need to contact the B&B waiter in advance. Although there were some minor problems in the middle, they were resolved in time."

"The last stop of our Gannan trip was also the one that left the worst impression on us. When we first arrived at the hotel, we thought the service was ok. They helped us carry our luggage to the room, but the following experience greatly reduced our experience. When we arrived at the wooden house, someone came to let us ride horses. Because we were in the accommodation area, we thought it was a hotel, so we asked the price of 100 yuan for half an hour of riding in a big circle. There were 6 people riding horses, but we didn't know that they came back in less than 10 minutes. We didn't know where the person who agreed with us went, and we were threatened by the horseman. We found the hotel to help us deal with it, but we could only suffer a loss of 20 yuan to keep things quiet. We were all Tibetans and we were out again. This was the only depressing part of this trip. The room was generally ok. The upper bunk is not easy to climb up, the bathroom smells quite bad, there is nothing to eat around, it is very far, very far, very far from the county town and it is not convenient (Important things should be said three times). In fact, I don’t recommend staying here. Secondly, the hotel breakfast is too late. Since it is a homestay, it should have a sense of service, not catering to your time. The meal is not served until 8:30, which affects the departure. I saw several rooms were pushed with luggage by themselves at 8 o'clock. There was no one at the front desk in the morning of the second phase, so you don’t need to collect the deposit. In the morning, you have to wait for the front desk to refund the deposit, and you have to pull the luggage yourself. I shouted in the group for a long time to drive a tricycle to tow the luggage. In the end, I waited for half an hour before two people came and there was still no car, so the experience here is really bad, and the room rate is still the most expensive"

"We drove to Gannan and stayed here on the first night. The environment was nice. We went there late, and the boss left someone there to wait for us. I had a headache and nausea early the next morning, and my blood oxygen was only 80. I saw online that it might be altitude sickness. I wanted to ask the boss's wife for two bottles of oxygen to see if it could relieve it. Unexpectedly, the boss's wife was very considerate. While comforting us, she arranged for the staff to take us to the hospital for examination. It was very heartwarming when we were away from home. Thank you to the boss's wife and the ******* brother who took us to the hospital."

"Nirvana resorts location is so stunning, set in the beautiful grasslands and surrounded by mountains, it was truly stunning. The tent was huge and bed comfy - some things are basic such as toilet and shower offsite but you know this going in. It was great to meet and talk to Wandhikhar, and all his staff who were lovely and helpful."

"Very very good. Very warm with floor heating. Quiet. Beautiful cabin. Very beautiful scenery. The owner is very nice. Helped with luggage and delivered it to the room. Although the breakfast is simple, the side dishes are delicious. The breakfast is picturesque. Although there was no bonfire party on the day we stayed, the owner enthusiastically told us which direction to watch the sunrise. The family room is very large. It has two bedrooms and one living room. It is spacious for three adults and one child."

"We absolutely loved our stay at 山古民宿 Shangu Homestay. The room was spacious, well presented in ******* style, and kept wonderfully warm with underfloor heating. The window-side lounge area was so cozy that we didn’t want to leave after three nights. Dinner was a highlight—the ******* hotpot was delicious, with fresh yak meat, vegetables, and noodles. Breakfast included fruit, ******* butter tea, and tsampa, giving us a real taste of local traditions.
The host was incredibly welcoming and shared fascinating stories about ******* culture, nomadic life, and even how to make incense. During our stay, it snowed heavily, and our children had a fantastic time playing in the snow with the host. It was not just accommodation, but a cultural journey filled with warmth and unforgettable memories. Highly recommended!

Let me talk about the location first. The homestay is six or seven minutes drive from Labrang Temple. If you want to take a slow walk for 20 minutes. There is a Dix at the door of the homestay, very good! The homestay is not facing the street. It takes about a minute or two to walk from the roadside to the homestay. This kind of non-street is very friendly to people like me who don't sleep well! Very quiet!
The next service also makes people feel full of heart and sincerity! I have also done a homestay for a few years, and I have received thousands of guests. I have also personally taken guests to walk around my city. This time I stayed at this homestay and was fortunate to be received by the owner personally. After placing the order, contact us to confirm the arrival time, help us turn on the heating in advance, and greet us at the alley to help us with our luggage. Arriving at the homestay, we accepted the furnishings in the homestay. It happened that we were not busy at night and took us to the Labrang Temple at night! The experience is really good!
Of course, facilities and equipment and sanitation and bathroom showers are impeccable! The bath water is very sufficient, the fatigue of the journey is washed away, and the bedding is very comfortable! The rest is very good, and the next day is full of vitality!

Location and Natural Beauty
The hotel is nestled on the edge of the Sangke Grassland, offering vast grassland scenery as soon as you step out the door. On our check-in day, the welcoming owner offered to take us for a walk by a nearby stream. Verdant grass lay beneath our feet, dotted with wildflowers, the stream gurgled, and in the distance, cattle and sheep strolled leisurely. It felt like stepping into an untouched natural landscape. This immersive experience, detached from the hustle and bustle of life, was one of the greatest surprises of the trip.
Service is in the Details
What touched us most was the owner's thoughtfulness. Due to our tight schedule the next day, we planned to depart at 7:30 AM. We had planned to skip breakfast, but the owner specifically inquired about our departure time the night before and prepared a hot breakfast the next morning. Bread, milk tea, and side dishes...the simple fare held the most simple warmth, making us feel like family on a cool morning. This selfless enthusiasm far exceeds expectations of ”hotel service.”
