"The guesthouse is spotlessly clean and has a wonderful ambiance. The proprietress has planted so many beautiful flowers, which are truly stunning. There's also a lovely terrace on the third floor, and the air up there is wonderfully fresh. Both the owner and his wife are incredibly warm and hospitable. For the price, it offers excellent value for money. We stayed for three days this time, and we'll absolutely choose to stay here again on our next visit!"

"The dorm was very clean and equipped with a kettle, which was nice. I was the only guest during my stay. As mentioned in the other reviews, the dorm is located in the basement and you have to walk a bit to reach the toilet.
The „shower“ is located across the front desk. It’s a small room where the hotel is storing their cleaning equipment, so showering there is a quite dirty and unpleasant experience. As there are so many dorms in the basement (I would guess 50+ beds), I wonder how they would handle the situation if the hotel is fully booked.
Overall I would recommend staying there for one night, if you are not picky."

"This hotel is in a very good spot, opposite the river, away from the traffic and tourist groups. The restaurant offers great food and drinks. The personal is very friendly and helpful and the room looked very nice, ******* style , and the mattress was comfortable . Can recommend this place without hesitation."

"Our stay here was lovely, with kind staff. We are Australian and our check-in was easy. However, please note that the name of the hotel name is “Samphel Dhondup Hotel”, and it is located near the southern corner of 腾志路, Tengzhi Road, near the Monastery Ticket Centre and the river. This was confusing upon arrival.
The heated floors were extremely hot, and not able to be turned off. Our room was a sauna, despite being -4°c outside (we had our window open the whole time). Hopefully this can be fixed. Breakfast was small but we were here during the offseason."

We stayed on the second and third floors, and they carried our luggage up there. They recommended delicious food and kept us warm. They even gave us a fridge magnet when we left! A must-stay when visiting Labrang Monastery! Clean and tidy! And so welcoming!"

"Incredible stay at the Xicheng Inn. The hotel is very cozy with fascinating decor. "The overall feeling is quite good. The first hotel I stayed in during my self-driving trip in Gannan is located in the area where Labrang Monastery is located, about three kilometers away. It is not on the main street, and next door is a very popular ******* restaurant. The store owner was very welcoming. In the morning, I had a ******* breakfast on the terrace of the ******* house on the second floor, which was quite pleasant. The boss was very enthusiastic and willing to give various suggestions about the trip. He told us about the observation deck of Labrang Monastery."

GGuest UserThis homestay is simply a treasure homestay. It seems that it didn't take long to open, so the room was quite new, and I missed it. The boss service is very good and also sent yogurt. It is very close to Labrang Temple, next to a small river, the location is quite good, and parking is available at the door.

The ethnic atmosphere was particularly rich. It was a truly wonderful stay! It was truly fantastic. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to any friends visiting Labrang Monastery in the future! It's truly excellent!

GGuest UserThe homestay is in the center of the attraction, with a wide view and beautiful scenery. The room is clean and tidy. The parent-child room I chose is two floors. There are 3 buildings. There is a separate bathroom electronic toilet, hot water supply, low temperature at night, electric heaters and electric blankets, but the bathroom is on the first floor. Go to the second floor from the outside stairs. I want to go to the toilet in the middle of the night and go down to the first floor. It’s cold. And we chose the room late, and the divided family room is very close to the public toilet. This is the only thing that is not satisfied. You can eat in the yard. It is a small hot pot with yak beef. If you are high on the first day, it is recommended to eat less meat.

Environment: Very close to Labrang Monastery, within walking distance. During peak season, definitely don't drive there; the traffic will be terrible. Park at this hotel and walk; it's very convenient.
Breakfast: Beef noodles with an egg or porridge and steamed buns. The beef noodles at the partner breakfast shop are quite authentic. The beef noodles mentioned here are Lanzhou beef noodles, not Sichuan or Jiangsu style beef noodles.

Disadvantages: The bathroom has a smell. The location is on the side of the road, and I have been running a big car at night. It is very noisy, and the room is very soundproof. The sound upstairs is very loud. There are two lost ID cards. The boss takes each room and asks for the lost owner. However, if you enter the house without knocking on the door, you can swipe your card to open the door. Is this terrible? There is no disposable slippers in the room. I asked the boss. The boss said that we can give it away on the face of the high-end standard room, but we need to go to the front desk ourselves, but we can't find anyone twice. The phone call was picked up by another person who was not in the store.

NNikoas4The hotel is extremely close to the monastery. Some people at the reception speak english and they can book you a private tour to visit the grasslands and the monasteries outside the city that otherwise would be unreacheables for 400rmb per vehicle. The room is big and the beds are warm.
