"The location is fantastic, right in the Six-Star Street scenic area, specifically Lane 1, Liguang Street. It's also incredibly convenient for both the intercity bus station and the airport, making it perfect for exploring and dining out. As someone who's stayed in many hostels over the years, I'd confidently say this is the best-located hostel in Yining. The common areas are excellent, boasting a surprisingly good selection of books, and the cafe's projector is remarkably clear. It's very clean, most rooms are four-bed dorms, and having stayed for several consecutive days, I can confirm it was an excellent experience!"

"This hostel isn't super far from LiuXing Street, but it's not right next door either. It's about a 10-minute walk, which is nice for a stroll to digest your food, but you can't just pop right over.
The room situation really depends on luck. If it's not full, there's decent space – you can open your luggage, chill on the bed and relax comfortably. But once it's full, the whole room instantly feels cramped. The ceiling even seems lower, and if several people are trying to move around, you're constantly bumping into each other. It definitely feels less breathable.
Heads up: shower gel and shampoo aren't provided, so you need to bring your own. You also have to put on and take off your own bedding (sheets, duvet cover, pillowcase).
Also, the road right outside is currently under construction. It's all dug up like a battlefield, full of potholes and very dusty. Dragging luggage in and out is a real hassle; you have to lift your suitcase and carry it for a bit. Coming back at night, it's dark, so you have to be careful not to twist an ankle. Once the road is fixed, the experience will definitely be much better."

"The room is very good, very close to Kazanqi, very quiet! Because I brought my mother to visit, my mother was tired and wanted to rest. I chose this newly opened homestay. The bedding is new, the decoration is French style, it feels very comfortable, and there is no fancy decoration. Sleeping is very comfortable! The landlord's little brother is very handsome and the service is very good!"

"It was my second time staying here, the place is beautiful and I met so many nice girls who I ended up hanging out with while I was in Yining. The Kazanqi area around the hostel is lovely, walking distance from great restaurants and shops. I was able to put things I the fridge and freezer and use the kitchen at the hostel. The courtyard and balcony are such nice places to sit and do work or eat there was also a puppy which was so cute!! The rooms were clean and comfortable, with cute decor and the toilet/shower room in the room is modern and clean. I definitely recommend!"

Guest UserFrom the first moment, i had such an excellent time at Blue Dove. I chose the place for the incredible design of the place, the location within Kazankh ancient town, and the reference to Doves... I left with so much more! The owner and her husband were so helpful and brought ice coffees for me and my dad when we arrived, which was so welcome. They had local treats and fruit to try and a wonderful sense of community. They helped us arrange a driver to Qionkushtai and packed us a breakfast to go, with coffee :) Every detail has been carefully considered and it was a joy to stay at Blue Dove. I consider owner Wen to be my friend and look forward to visiting again. I highly recommend!

miooA True Hidden Gem – The Best Stay of My Xinjiang Trip!
Out of my entire journey across Xinjiang, this homestay was by far the most memorable and heartwarming experience. The moment I stepped into the beautifully decorated home, with its stunning blue hues, traditional Uyghur details, and peaceful courtyard covered by a canopy of vines, I instantly felt at ease. It truly felt like home.
What made it even more special was the incredible hospitality. The owner was exceptionally friendly, always ready with a warm smile and willing to help with anything I needed—whether it was sharing local tips, helping with transportation, or simply chatting over tea. Their kindness made me feel not just like a guest, but like part of the family.
The attention to detail in every corner, the peaceful swing in the courtyard, and the cozy atmosphere created the perfect setting to relax after a day of exploring. I can’t recommend this place enough—if you’re traveling through Xinjiang and want to experience genuine warmth and culture, this is the place to be.

Sam-ThaddeusWe had a nice stay here which we used as a base to explore sayram lake. The rooms are clean, large and comfortable and the lady owner who comes in at noon and works till morning is nice and helped the 2 of us book the transport by bus to sayram lake. It’s a comfortable walk by turning right and then right to Liu Xing street - along the way you have a nice cafe/bakery which operates till 11pm. The lady owners parents also help us to fix the alipay transport pass for taking a bus at 1 yuan for each trip. Apologies as I didn’t take any photos of the room.

I stayed here for over a week and absolutely loved it! The ladies working here were all incredibly warm and charming. We even went shopping together and had some late-night skewers. The hotel's decor is beautiful, and being surrounded by local ethnic minorities really allowed me to immerse myself in the local customs. It was truly wonderful!

wqypajkklThis hotel boasts an excellent location, not far from the Liuxing Street Tourist Center, and Liuxing Street is within walking distance. The hotel is quiet and clean, with comfortable bedding and excellent hot water. The front desk and security staff were both very helpful, so much so that I extended my stay for another night. Transportation is convenient, with a bus stop right outside the entrance, and there are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Yining.

Guest UserI stayed for 8 nights and absolutely loved every moment of it. The room was really clean and comfortable. It had a lot of space (even for me to do yoga in the room), and it had a lot of sunlight. The amount of sunlight was really important for me because I was working for about half the time there and spent a lot of time in the room. The desk made it very convenient for working.
Now for the much more important part - the host was amazing. I was sad to leave because we formed a bond in the short time that we were there. She took us to the local bazaars, treated us to local delicacies, and showed us so much generosity and warmth.
The food at the guesthouse is also amazing. I had many meals there because I was busy working and found all the dishes to be delicious and the portions very generous. I would come back to Yining just for this.
I would be lucky if I had the opportunity to stay here again.

The location is great if you arrive to the bus station and need a night to sleep before the flight next day.
My only big problem was that room smelled like cigarettes, even though the room itself was non-smoking. The window does not open to the full so can’t even let the fresh air in. Even clean towels (wrapped in a plastic bag) smelled nicotine (maybe there’s smoking where they are stored). I switched the AC on and the bathroom ventilation and it helped a little.
I like the price and location and overal but the cigarettes smell was unbearable(

The hygiene is excellent, and the owner is very warm and friendly. This is my second time visiting Yining, and the people here are genuinely wonderful. The hotel has a washing machine for laundry, and the staff even provided laundry detergent and hangers. The location is easy to find, right at the intersection of the main road in Liuxing Street.

Great hotel. There is an open space to chill in the evening. The girls on the reception were here helpful and we managed to communicate with the translator with no problem. Only 3 minute walk from great food street, where you can try traditional food.
There is drinkable water next ro the reception.
The location is right in the center 1km from the long bus terminal and 6km from the railway station. But from the left and right side of the hotel you can have a nice walk in the city.
If you are from Europe there is a chance to not be able to connect to the WiFi. Just FYI.

It is a good hostel. However, they have to take care of the daily validating room keys. People go out to the washroom in the middle of the night, and even if they paid for the following day, they get locked, and they can't get in. Regardless of how many days you pay for, you need to get your room key validated, which is a redundant and unnecessary thing to do.it is very frustrating, too. Last night, a girl from the dorm went to the washroom at 3 a.m., and she got locked out until morning when other people in the room woke up to get her in. Also, for these unfortunate circumstances, there is nobody in the reception area to take care of it. I stayed 6 nights, and every day, I had to reactivate the room key. That is something the hostel must pay attention to it or fix it. Otherwise, it is a clean please to stay at.
