"I stayed to see the samurai residence of kakunodate with my work. Location is good, about 5 minutes walk from the station, access is very good. The samurai residence street is not far away. It seemed to have not been renovated, and the interior was beautiful and the staff was kind. It was good to have Akita Komachi onigiri, pork soup, and igakuko for breakfast."

The Magorokuonsen Rokuan was recently opened in 2023, making it a fantastic choice for those staying in Semboku. Tazawako Station is located approximately 19km away and Hanamaki Airport around 51km away. The nearby area boasts an abundance of attractions including Nyuto Onsenkyo, 一本松温泉 一本松たつこの湯 and Ishiyama no Yu. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. If cleanliness is important to you, this hotel makes an excellent choice, as our guests consider this to be one of the cleanest hotels in the city.

"During winter, the road for the last 800 meters before reaching the hotel is closed, and you must walk in. Guests need to park at Okama Onsen first. Before arrival, you are required to inform the hotel of your check-in time so that a staff member can guide you on foot to the property. The staff will help carry your luggage, but if you have many bags, it’s best to inform them in advance. The highlight of this stay is definitely the walk to the hotel. You walk deep into the forest along towering walls of snow on both sides, and eventually discover the onsen hidden in the woods. It feels truly special and secluded. The lobby area is not very large, and the number of staff is quite limited, but overall the service was very good. Dinner was served at a counter bar, and the chef was extremely friendly and spoke good English. The receptionist at the lobby, who is from Taiwan, speaks English, Chinese, and Japanese fluently. She explained everything clearly, helped carry our luggage on the way out, and even assisted with clearing snow off our car. Personally, I found the public onsen area to be a bit disappointing. The floor was icy and slippery, which felt somewhat unsafe. However, the private onsen in the room was excellent — very private, spacious for an in-room bath, with a beautiful view and wonderfully fragrant mineral water. The room itself was spacious, quiet, and peaceful. Mobile signal does not work inside the hotel, but the hotel provides Wi-Fi, which was stable and fast. Both breakfast and dinner were very good, and the hotel responded to emails and accommodated our special dietary requests, which we really appreciated. The only regret was that the snow was extremely deep during our visit, making it hard to fully see and imagine the surrounding scenery."

"Hotels in Tianze Lake Plateau It takes about half an hour to get there by bus at Tinze Lake Station Arrive at the ”Upper Plateau Hot Spring Station” and get off the bus and walk for about 4 minutes. The hotel is in the mountains, all the snow is a lot of secret. The hotel is the kind of traditional Japanese-style hotel, with dinner and breakfast very rich The room is tatami, which is what is often seen in the Chinese and Japanese dramas, the atmosphere is very good. The quilt was already simmered at the beginning of entering the room, very warm The big bath will have a little sulfur smell as soon as you enter, and I heard that it is effective for skin and muscle soreness The bath has internal and external soup, the external soup is full of snow, it really feels like winter. The meal is delicious, the environment is comfortable, the staff is kind, I highly recommend it to everyone"

"This hot spring hotel is in a very good location, right by the lake. The owner gave us a room with a beautiful view of the lake. The hotel is quite decent, the facilities are not new, but they are very clean. The service is also very satisfactory, but it cannot be said to be very exquisite in details. The entrance to the room is relatively narrow, making it difficult to place suitcases. The hot spring is very good and very comfortable. Dinner was okay, but breakfast was a bit basic. I rode around Lake Tazawa for a week and found several hot spring hotels that were out of operation. It is probably due to the impact of the epidemic in the past few years, which has led to a reduction in market supply, while demand continues to recover. Therefore, it is obvious that the price of hot spring hotels in Japan is now higher than before the epidemic. It is at least twice as expensive, but the service quality is slightly lower than before the epidemic."

Abundant quantity of milky white free-flowing hot spring. Open-air bath is 1m in depth.

"The facilities are a bit old, but there is no inconvenience because they meet the necessary and sufficient. The hot springs were so comfortable that I wanted to stay in them all the time. The meal was not luxurious, but none of them were very delicious and happy. I want to go again."
