"The room was really small, with the bed placed against the window side. There was a small massage armchair, which seemed more suitable for children. Opening a 20-inch suitcase already reached the other side of the wall! The front desk is on the fourth floor, and if you need amenities, you can grab them yourself at the exit, including toothbrushes, combs, tea bags, and coffee sachets. However, the location is incredibly convenient. Walk left across the intersection, and you'll find a subway station. Walk right across the intersection, and you can see Tokyo Tower, which looks stunning at night! There are small convenience stores within a minute's walk in both directions. Overall, it was a good experience!"

"This is quite a big hotel with many floors and many rooms. This means there can be quite a long queue to check in during peak hours. The reception staff are quite efficient though. Facilities are excellent with many restaurants and even a bowling alley. They offer a luggage storage service that is very useful and not available in most other hotels. Location is great right next to Shinagawa Station."

"The hotel is just a five-minute walk from Wafantian Station, with a Lawson convenience store right downstairs. There's also a Toyo-Ei Supermarket and a Matsumoto Kiyoshi drugstore right below the station. Wafantian has everything you need - you can walk to Don Quijote until 1 a.m., and there are also Torayu and all kinds of izakaya and ramen shops. It's really convenient in every way. The hotel lobby is on the 15th floor, and the onsen is on the 16th floor - it's separate for men and women, which is very convenient. The rooms are pretty standard, with everything you need, but the luggage space is a bit cramped when you open your suitcase."

"The room was a bit small, but it had all the essential amenities. The bathroom was quite tiny, and it would be cramped for two people. If you want a Tokyo Tower view room, make sure to book the room type shown with the Tokyo Tower in the picture and request 'tower view' in your notes. During the May Day holiday, the Tokyo Tower lights shut off at midnight. Breakfast was a bit pricey, costing an additional 150 or 190 per person (can't quite remember the exact amount), but the variety was excellent, and the freshly made cheese scrambled eggs were delicious. You can see the Tokyo Tower from the breakfast restaurant. The lobby is beautiful, and they offer luggage storage on both check-in and check-out days. The staff were all very friendly."

"The hotel is a typical budget option with nothing particularly memorable about the stay. Basic amenities were provided, but not well maintained — the soap and shampoo came in small sachets and were not consistently replenished. The pillow was quite small and overly soft, making it uncomfortable to sleep."

"As far as hotels go, it's pretty decent. For a hotel in the city center, it's quite affordable, which makes it feel like a great value. I booked a single room for this stay, but they upgraded me to a twin, so the extra space was a nice bonus. It said it was a 3-minute walk from the station, but it felt a bit further than I expected. Maybe it was just because it was cold."

"I recently stayed at Mitsui Garden Hotel Shiodome Italia-gai and had a generally pleasant experience, though there were a few drawbacks worth noting. Location: The hotel is conveniently located within a short walk of several train stations and the monorail, making it an excellent base for exploring Tokyo. The surrounding Italia-gai district is calm and charming, with relatively light local traffic. However, the noise insulation leaves much to be desired. Trains from multiple nearby lines can be heard frequently and quite loudly from early morning till late at night. Additionally, the nearby fire department sirens are audible, though not as disruptive as the trains. Room: By Tokyo standards, the room was spacious and comfortable. However, I noticed blackish deposits around the air-conditioning outlet, which I hoped were not mold. To err on the side of caution, I chose not to operate the AC during my stay. Aside from this concern, the room was generally satisfactory. Service: Check-in and check-out were efficient and convenient via automated machines. The front desk staff were kind and accommodating, and assisted with any additional questions. Room service was thorough and reliable, ensuring a clean and pleasant environment throughout my stay. Breakfast: The breakfast buffet offered a mix of Japanese and European-style dishes. The taste and quality were acceptable, with an average but adequate selection. Between 7:30 and 8:30 AM, the restaurant becomes extremely crowded, often resulting in no available seating and a wait outside. The space feels undersized for the number of guests, making the atmosphere less comfortable during peak hours. It would be helpful if the hotel informed guests about busy times to allow for better planning. Overall: This hotel offers a convenient location, spacious rooms, and friendly service. However, improvements in soundproofing, breakfast crowd management, and room maintenance would significantly enhance the guest experience."

"Before coming, I was a bit worried about the hotel's age and potential issues with its facilities. However, upon arrival, it exceeded my expectations. The environment is top-notch, and the hygiene is excellent. They provide a wide range of high-quality amenities. The room was tidied up perfectly every day. Key points: The hotel's location is superb, extremely close to the central shopping area of Ikebukuro. Even on rainy days, spending an entire day at Sunshine City, which is connected to the hotel, is no problem. Furthermore, the dining options in Ikebukuro are surprisingly affordable. You can find quality meals with good service for 1000-1500 yen. Even if you don't want to eat out, the FamilyMart on the first floor of the hotel can cover all your meals with a rich variety of options. Lastly, the transportation is very convenient. From Ikebukuro East Station, you can easily reach Shinjuku and Shibuya. From the West Station, you can get to Ueno, Ginza, and Sumida."

Amazing
GGuest UserI've travelled to many parts of Japan for over a decade and in terms of ”a comfortable hotel with no complaints”, this is it for me. No complaints but I do have a small feedback which is to have the breakfast start at 6 or 6.30am for early/business travellers to be able to grab a bite before they can go about their day. Other than that, the room was comfortable and big enough for a small side sofa by the window, there were spaces to open a medium sized cargo bag, the amenities were sufficient and so were the Eco-friendly initiatives (room service, bamboo in place of plastic items), etc. There was also a decent humidifier provided during winter (but that was not enough for me who comes from the tropics), I had my own small humidifier too and still it was kind of dry (not a hotel problem). The view coming up the elevator and at the lobby was majorly impressive - boasting a skyline of both Tokyo Tower against Mt Fuji in the distance; during sunset, it was such a sight to behold. The lobby is big and has lots of rest/seating areas with some small amount of drinks provided from 5am to 10pm and it was a very relaxed atmosphere. The service staff were impressive - knowing a wide range of languages and when they did not, remained unfazed and used translation tools. They were all polite, helpful and the F&B members too, made you feel like you were in some high-end restaurant. The artwork was also very nice to observe all over and if I have the chance to afford this hotel again, I'd do it in a snap. Other important notes are that there is a convenience store at B2 of the same building. Level 3 is a bridge that links you directly to Yurikamome line monorail -and a little further, to the Asakusa and Ginza lines from there. The Ginza honten (main store) Don Quijote is also a 10 to 15 minute walk from there and so are many local eateries (5 min walk) and shopping areas (Carote, 10 to 15mins walk).

KkhosodaI had a wonderful stay at this hotel and was genuinely impressed by every aspect of the experience. The cleanliness was exceptional—everything from the room to the common areas was spotless and very well maintained. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, providing more than enough space to relax after a long day. The location is another major highlight. It is very convenient and well-situated, making it easy to access nearby attractions, transportation, and restaurants. This made my stay even more enjoyable and stress-free. The service was outstanding throughout my stay. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a warm and professional attitude. Their hospitality truly made a difference. The food was also delicious, with a great variety of options and excellent quality. Every meal I had was satisfying and enjoyable. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and excellent service.

GGuest UserThis hotel is fantastic! The location is excellent. You can reach Takashimaya by walking across a pedestrian bridge on the 2nd floor, and Shinjuku Bus Terminal is just a 10-minute walk from the ground floor. The hotel rooms are great. If your room faces west, you can see Mount Fuji, though unfortunately, the very peak was obstructed from my room. The smoking room is on the 21st floor and does offer a view of the peak, but it's quite small. The Japanese restaurant on the 19th floor offers a 13,000 yen set menu that was incredibly delicious and very filling.

Good morning breakfast to keep you going for the loooong run. The receptionist who checked us in know multiple languages (Mandarin, Cantonese, English, and of course Japanese) which is surprising. GGuest UserHotel location was ideal. It was relatively near to the Shimbashi station and Ginza station. Lots of shops around Ginza that are few minutes walk away. Noted the room had a pamphlet for ¥1000 should we not request for room service. Throughout the 6 nights, no one offered the voucher which was weird as I stayed at the Lively, Osaka and was offered the voucher upfront upon check in. Understand it might be a different process and procedure but if there was going to be a voucher, it should have been more upfront and transparent. On the 4th night, requested for bottled water and was seemingly questioned if I requested for room service which i denied and was given a rather doubtful look. Not the best experience with the agent but was a pleasant stay nonetheless.

YYu Ting PearlynA lovely hotel that I would stay at again. I booked the bunk bed, which my roommate and I felt really comfortable in. Staff were quite friendly and most understood/could speak English. It says self check-in on the booking page but there was someone present to help us through the check-in process. Note that there's an accommodation tax (900 yen per person) that needs to be paid on check-in. Since we stayed for more than five days, they did full housekeeping (changing bedsheets) for two out of the eight days. However, they also were able to provide fresh towels and clear trash daily (we just put their provided magnetic notice on the door and left the items at the entryway). Showers were small, but amazing. They provide a day's worth of toothpaste, a toothbrush, a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, an electric kettle, a microwave, plates, utensils, cups, scissors, detergent, and two pairs of room slippers. There was an HDTV (with an HDMI port) that we directly connected to Netflix (no need to logout) as well. This hotel is about an 8 minute walk away from Ryogoku station and 11 mins from Asakusa station. If you have a really physical day or have hefty luggage, then this might feel a bit far, but the area generally feels safe, and you get to cross the bridge over the Sumida river to/from Asakusa, which is nice. Other things to note: There is one shared washing machine for the whole hotel that's free to use, and it takes about 2H per wash and tumble dry cycle. There was no quick wash setting. We had to do ours in the wee hours because other guests were quicker to use them in the ”prime” hours (7-9am and 8pm-12mn). A QR code and/or number code is used to unlock your door's digital lock. It's also used for checkout, so save the sheet of paper they issue. Otherwise, remember to take a picture as there's no service staff after a certain time and they will lock the doors to the entrance where the only way to get in is the issued code. Someone pressed the fire alarm accidentally one morning, which brought the fire department, ambulance and police to the hotel and the alert was deafening and heard neighbourhood-wide. Look carefully before you press/lean on a surface - there's no covering on the alarm button, but it is in the centre of a giant red circle. It was an eventful morning but we did not enjoy running down and climbing up 8-storeys worth of stairs (they shut the elevators in emergencies). Overall, a relaxing, cool vibe that feels clean and cozy.

GGuest UserHere's a review of a hotel located in the heart of Akasaka, offering easy access to two subway lines. It's a quiet business-boutique hotel with more spacious rooms than similar establishments, making it ideal for commuting to the city center or exploring Roppongi/Akasaka. **Key Highlights (Reasons to Choose This Hotel):** 1. **Dual Subway Access + Central Akasaka – Convenient for Anywhere:** * Approximately a 4-minute walk to Akasaka Station and a 6-minute walk to Tameike-Sanno Station, covering multiple lines for easy access to Ginza, Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Tokyo Station. Haneda Airport is about 45-60 minutes away. * Within walking distance of Roppongi, Tokyo Midtown, and Akasaka Sacas, boasting vibrant shopping and dining areas. A 7-Eleven is conveniently located downstairs, making daily life easy. * The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, making it a better option for rest compared to Shinjuku or Shibuya. 2. **More Spacious and Well-Designed Rooms Than Other Japanese Hotels in the Same Category:** * Standard rooms are approximately 15-18 sqm, larger than most business hotels in Tokyo, allowing two large suitcases to be opened without feeling cramped. * Comfortable bedding with memory foam/low-rebound pillows. Bathrooms feature bathtubs and smart toilets, with stable water pressure and temperature. Amenities are comprehensive. * Good natural light, with most rooms feeling bright and airy. Cleanliness is up to Japanese standards. 3. **Practical Facilities, Suitable for Long Stays/Families:** * A coin-operated laundry room is available on the 12th floor (washing 300 JPY/drying 100 JPY), and microwaves are on multiple floors, friendly for long-term guests. * A small, complimentary gym on the 3rd floor is a bonus for business travelers or fitness enthusiasts. * Cribs/children's amenities can be arranged, making it family-friendly. The front desk offers multilingual service, with fluent English, and handles luggage storage/package receiving efficiently. 4. **Consistent Service, Thoughtful Details:** * The front desk staff is enthusiastic and professional, responding quickly. Small items like chargers and hair straighteners can be borrowed, with some guests reporting feeling 'valued'. * Free high-speed Wi-Fi is stable. Some periods offer guidance.
