Hotel near Ueno/Asakusa,Tokyo
★Newly opened hotel in March 2024★ All 15 rooms are designed by designers and welcome guests from all over the world. The nearest station is Shin-Okachimachi Station on the Oedo Subway Line, a 5-minute walk from Exit A1, and a 9-minute walk from Keisei Ueno Station on the Keisei Main Line. You can also use the Tsukuba Express Line from Shin-Okachimachi Station, which is very convenient as you can go to Akihabara Station and Asakusa Station in one stop.

"I stayed in a double room for two nights and had a good experience. Everything was great – the cleanliness, location, and spaciousness. My only minor complaints are that there was no window and the lighting was too dim. It felt like the room was only suitable for sleeping. It was frustrating trying to get ready in the morning or do my makeup because it was so dark. I'm not sure why it was designed this way. On the positive side, it was very quiet, which I liked. Ueno station and the bustling area are just a 5-10 minute walk away. The best part, though, was the hotel manager. They were incredibly friendly and didn't seem Japanese, spoke English well, and even used a translation app to communicate with me in Korean. That was truly excellent!"

"I've travelled to many parts of Japan for over a decade and in terms of ”a comfortable hotel with no complaints”, this is it for me. No complaints but I do have a small feedback which is to have the breakfast start at 6 or 6.30am for early/business travellers to be able to grab a bite before they can go about their day. Other than that, the room was comfortable and big enough for a small side sofa by the window, there were spaces to open a medium sized cargo bag, the amenities were sufficient and so were the Eco-friendly initiatives (room service, bamboo in place of plastic items), etc. There was also a decent humidifier provided during winter (but that was not enough for me who comes from the tropics), I had my own small humidifier too and still it was kind of dry (not a hotel problem). The view coming up the elevator and at the lobby was majorly impressive - boasting a skyline of both Tokyo Tower against Mt Fuji in the distance; during sunset, it was such a sight to behold. The lobby is big and has lots of rest/seating areas with some small amount of drinks provided from 5am to 10pm and it was a very relaxed atmosphere. The service staff were impressive - knowing a wide range of languages and when they did not, remained unfazed and used translation tools. They were all polite, helpful and the F&B members too, made you feel like you were in some high-end restaurant. The artwork was also very nice to observe all over and if I have the chance to afford this hotel again, I'd do it in a snap. Other important notes are that there is a convenience store at B2 of the same building. Level 3 is a bridge that links you directly to Yurikamome line monorail -and a little further, to the Asakusa and Ginza lines from there. The Ginza honten (main store) Don Quijote is also a 10 to 15 minute walk from there and so are many local eateries (5 min walk) and shopping areas (Carote, 10 to 15mins walk)."

"The room was small! But the lobby was incredibly grand, like a relic from the昭和 era, truly aristocratic! The check-in staff provided classic Japanese service – warm and polite! It's a bit of a walk from the subway station, but if you're taking the bus, it's super convenient because the bus stop is right in front of the hotel! My favorite feature was the radio by the bed in the room. The night I checked in, I tuned into a random station that was playing old Japanese songs, and every single one was so good. Listening to those Japanese songs while showering and packing made me feel like I'd traveled back to the昭和 period."

Hotels in Sumida,Tokyo
Located in Tokyo's Sumida Ward, Nestay inn Tokyo skytree offers a great stay experience for those traveling for fun or business. Staff at this property's front desk can speak 3 languages, including English.

"The room was very clean and well-arranged, with the washbasin, shower, and toilet all separated. We visited in January, which is the coldest month, and the room had two air conditioners. However, we had to turn off the air conditioners and microwave when using the bathroom heater (I later found out that electricity bills and connection fees in Japan are quite high, and charges are based on voltage). The hotel is not far from the Skytree, and you can catch a direct bus to Disneyland from the station under the Skytree. It's closer to Oshiage, and about a kilometer from Azumabashi and Kinshicho stations, which isn't far but can be tiring if you walk daily. There's an Aeon convenience store about 300-400 meters away where you can buy fruits and vegetables. I bought some wagyu beef and instant noodles there at a good price. The supermarket inside Skytree was expensive and the strawberries weren't sweet. The nearby Life supermarket was larger and had better prices. Next to Aeon, there's a noodle shop that's delicious, and an amazing tonkatsu (fried pork cutlet) place near Azumabashi that's better than any I've had in Beijing! The most inconvenient thing was not knowing how to dispose of trash; it piled up in the room for several days, which was unbearable. Next door is a small park for Hiratsuka Elementary School, where many Japanese children play, giving a glimpse into the differences between Chinese and Japanese kids."

"Location: The hotel's location is great, conveniently close to both Shimbashi and Shiodome subway stations. Service: The service was excellent, highly recommended. Breakfast: Breakfast was decent. The hotel primarily caters to Western guests, so the breakfast options are geared towards them. Room: The room isn't huge, but the facilities are quite new. The biggest highlight is definitely the Tokyo Tower view. On a clear day, you can even see Mount Fuji from the window. Downstairs, there's also a Ghibli clock, which is a popular photo spot."

"Honestly, one of the most efficient room designs I’ve experienced. My girlfriend and I were there primarily for shopping, so we really only used the room to sleep—and it served that purpose perfectly. The space is small, but very clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully designed. The separate bathroom and shower setup was especially convenient for getting ready at the same time. The hotel has a great vibe—the lobby transforms into a lively hangout spot at night, which we really enjoyed. It definitely has a young, trendy feel. Location is a major plus. It’s close to multiple train stations (about $3 to Haneda Airport), surrounded by fantastic restaurants, and just steps from high-end shopping like Hermès and Dior. We stayed on the 12th floor on the side away from the train tracks and experienced zero noise. The only suggestion I’d offer is to improve the breakfast—adding more variety and expanding the buffet options would make a big difference. Overall, I’d absolutely consider staying here again. Modern Thai restaurant a few doors down is highly suggested!🇹🇭"

"The location is unbeatable — it’s directly connected to Shibuya Station, which was incredibly helpful since Tokyo’s train system can feel overwhelming at first. Being able to walk straight into the hotel after a long day of exploring was a huge plus. The area is lively but safe, with plenty of restaurants, shopping, and convenience stores nearby. I never felt lost or unsure about getting around. The room was clean and comfortable, with a modern design. Staff were polite and helpful, and communication in English was smooth, which made check-in simple and reassuring. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for first-time travelers to Tokyo who want convenience, comfort, and peace of mind. I would definitely stay here again."

At Mat Hikifune, every guestroom is provided with convenient amenities and fittings to ensure a comfortable stay.In select rooms at the apartment, a refrigerator is available for those moments when it seems necessary. It is worth noting that certain guest bathrooms feature a hair dryer and toiletries for your convenience.

"The hotel was great, especially for a low cost. The location is very close to Hikifune and Hikifune-Keisei stations, which is terrific for traveling around Tokyo. There is no check-in lobby so make sure you have the elevator and door code ready before you arrive. The shower did not have a curtain so I was trying not to wet the floor. The bathroom and rooms were very clean. Wifi is also very fast and good. This is a good hotel in Sumida."

GGuest UserThe hotel is very close to Suidobashi Station on the JR line, which provides excellent access to all the main attractions in Tokyo. You can easily reach places like Akihabara, Ueno, Tokyo Dome, and even Shinjuku or Shibuya with just one or two connections. Despite being so close to the train tracks, the rooms have good soundproofing, and we could not hear the trains at all inside the room. That was a huge relief because I was worried about noise, but it turned out to be completely fine The room itself was clean and spacious by Tokyo standards. Everything felt fresh and well maintained. The housekeeping did a great job, and we had plenty of space to open our suitcases and move around comfortably. That is not always easy to find in Tokyo hotels, so I really appreciated that. At the reception area, you can help yourself to tea and coffee, as well as some basic hygiene kits and amenities. It is a nice touch, especially if you forgot something or just want a hot drink before heading out for the day. But, there are a few things to be aware of. First, the check-in time is later than usual but at 5:00 PM. That is quite late compared to most hotels where check-in is around 2:00 or 3:00 PM. You need to plan your day around this and make sure you have somewhere to keep your luggage if you arrive earlier. It is not a dealbreaker, but it is something you should know before booking. The second thing was the bathroom setup. In our room, there was a strange curtain separating the shower area from the rest of the room. The problem is that this curtain does not actually hide anything. If someone opens the door from the room into the hallway, anyone standing there could see straight into the shower area. It was an odd design choice. My advice to the hotel would be to apply frosted film to the shower door. That would solve the privacy issue completely, and the strange curtain would no longer be needed. Another small issue was the luggage storage area. Some of the lockers were locked but not being used, which meant there was not enough space for everyone to store their bags. It was a bit frustrating because empty but locked lockers took up space that could have been used. However, I have to give credit to the administrator who helped us resolve the situation. They were kind and found a solution, so in the end, it worked out fine. I do want to recommend the restaurant on the first floor for evening relaxation. There are only a few tables, so it feels quite intimate and not too crowded. The prices are slightly higher than the average in Tokyo, but the desserts are wonderful, and they serve champagne as well. It is a lovely place to unwind after a long day of sightseeing. I especially enjoyed sitting there in the evening with a glass of champagne and a sweet treat, it felt like a small luxury. Overall, sequence Suidobashi is a solid choice if you value cleanliness, space, and good train connections. Just be prepared for the late check-in, the unusual shower curtain, and a possible small hassle with luggage storage. None of these issues ruined my stay, and with a few small improvements, this hotel could be truly excellent. I would still recommend it, especially for travelers who plan to spend most of their day exploring Tokyo and just need a comfortable, quiet place to sleep and recharge

GGuest UserThe hotel boasts an excellent location. The main entrance is on the 1st floor (there's a 7-Eleven there, but it closes early). Check-in is on the 20th floor, and all guest rooms are above the 20th floor, offering great views without any low-floor rooms. The 2nd floor provides direct access to Takashimaya and Shinjuku Station, and there are two subway lines right across the street from the 1st-floor exit, making getting around very convenient. See picture 3 for a floor overview. 👍 The scenic twin room is quite spacious for Tokyo standards, not cramped at all. It comes with standard sheet mask skincare products and disposable slippers. 🙃 Ps: There's no bottled water in the room, but each floor has a self-service water dispenser. Also, the bathroom shower is inside the bathtub 🛁. 👍 Overall, I'm quite satisfied.

YYu Ting PearlynA lovely hotel that I would stay at again. I booked the bunk bed, which my roommate and I felt really comfortable in. Staff were quite friendly and most understood/could speak English. It says self check-in on the booking page but there was someone present to help us through the check-in process. Note that there's an accommodation tax (900 yen per person) that needs to be paid on check-in. Since we stayed for more than five days, they did full housekeeping (changing bedsheets) for two out of the eight days. However, they also were able to provide fresh towels and clear trash daily (we just put their provided magnetic notice on the door and left the items at the entryway). Showers were small, but amazing. They provide a day's worth of toothpaste, a toothbrush, a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, an electric kettle, a microwave, plates, utensils, cups, scissors, detergent, and two pairs of room slippers. There was an HDTV (with an HDMI port) that we directly connected to Netflix (no need to logout) as well. This hotel is about an 8 minute walk away from Ryogoku station and 11 mins from Asakusa station. If you have a really physical day or have hefty luggage, then this might feel a bit far, but the area generally feels safe, and you get to cross the bridge over the Sumida river to/from Asakusa, which is nice. Other things to note: There is one shared washing machine for the whole hotel that's free to use, and it takes about 2H per wash and tumble dry cycle. There was no quick wash setting. We had to do ours in the wee hours because other guests were quicker to use them in the ”prime” hours (7-9am and 8pm-12mn). A QR code and/or number code is used to unlock your door's digital lock. It's also used for checkout, so save the sheet of paper they issue. Otherwise, remember to take a picture as there's no service staff after a certain time and they will lock the doors to the entrance where the only way to get in is the issued code. Someone pressed the fire alarm accidentally one morning, which brought the fire department, ambulance and police to the hotel and the alert was deafening and heard neighbourhood-wide. Look carefully before you press/lean on a surface - there's no covering on the alarm button, but it is in the centre of a giant red circle. It was an eventful morning but we did not enjoy running down and climbing up 8-storeys worth of stairs (they shut the elevators in emergencies). Overall, a relaxing, cool vibe that feels clean and cozy.

GGuest UserHere's a review of a hotel located in the heart of Akasaka, offering easy access to two subway lines. It's a quiet business-boutique hotel with more spacious rooms than similar establishments, making it ideal for commuting to the city center or exploring Roppongi/Akasaka. **Key Highlights (Reasons to Choose This Hotel):** 1. **Dual Subway Access + Central Akasaka – Convenient for Anywhere:** * Approximately a 4-minute walk to Akasaka Station and a 6-minute walk to Tameike-Sanno Station, covering multiple lines for easy access to Ginza, Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Tokyo Station. Haneda Airport is about 45-60 minutes away. * Within walking distance of Roppongi, Tokyo Midtown, and Akasaka Sacas, boasting vibrant shopping and dining areas. A 7-Eleven is conveniently located downstairs, making daily life easy. * The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, making it a better option for rest compared to Shinjuku or Shibuya. 2. **More Spacious and Well-Designed Rooms Than Other Japanese Hotels in the Same Category:** * Standard rooms are approximately 15-18 sqm, larger than most business hotels in Tokyo, allowing two large suitcases to be opened without feeling cramped. * Comfortable bedding with memory foam/low-rebound pillows. Bathrooms feature bathtubs and smart toilets, with stable water pressure and temperature. Amenities are comprehensive. * Good natural light, with most rooms feeling bright and airy. Cleanliness is up to Japanese standards. 3. **Practical Facilities, Suitable for Long Stays/Families:** * A coin-operated laundry room is available on the 12th floor (washing 300 JPY/drying 100 JPY), and microwaves are on multiple floors, friendly for long-term guests. * A small, complimentary gym on the 3rd floor is a bonus for business travelers or fitness enthusiasts. * Cribs/children's amenities can be arranged, making it family-friendly. The front desk offers multilingual service, with fluent English, and handles luggage storage/package receiving efficiently. 4. **Consistent Service, Thoughtful Details:** * The front desk staff is enthusiastic and professional, responding quickly. Small items like chargers and hair straighteners can be borrowed, with some guests reporting feeling 'valued'. * Free high-speed Wi-Fi is stable. Some periods offer guidance.

AAnonymous UserThe room was small, which is typical for single rooms in Japanese hotels. But it was very clean and felt new, and the central air conditioning worked great and was quiet. I booked this hotel because I didn't want to deal with crowded subways after a concert in Odaiba. The location is excellent, close to the station, and there's a convenience store and McDonald's downstairs. For Odaiba hotels, it offers great value for money. I even regret checking out and moving to another hotel after the concert.
