"I stayed at Montagne Residence over the weekend and had a very pleasant experience. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the facilities were well maintained. I especially enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, which made it a perfect place to relax. Highly recommend Montagne Residence for anyone looking for a quiet and refreshing getaway."

"Extremely clean and always having a great smell, the rooms are not getting too hot during the day , so that’s another plus. Cleaning ladies are so friendly and always smiling, really nice atmosphere. Location is good too"

"It was my first trip to Kampot so I searched for a hotel which was close to the city center, with good reviews, spacious rooms, at a good price. Chateau Kampot fit perfectly with what I was looking for. The hotel was newly opened in the beginning of 2026. I like the colonial style architecture combined with a very modern design. I especially liked the arched wall openings throughout the interior and exterior of the building. I booked the Executive Suite for my 4 night stay. The check in process upon my arrival was very smooth and pleasant. After check in, the person at the reception (front) desk provided me with a map of the city and pointed out several recommended places to visit. My room was very spacious and ultra clean. It came with a couple of lounge chairs to relax in and a nice balcony with a table and chairs to enjoy the fresh air and views of the city. My favorite part of the whole room was the bed. The linens were so crisp and clean; the mattress had an additional pad which felt like you were sleeping on a cloud. I travel quite a bit and sometimes stay at luxury hotels and the bed at Chateau Kampot was one of the best I slept in. I enjoyed the very nice pool which included a jacuzzi and a small peaceful water fall. The pool was long enough to swim some laps for exercise. There was a small fitness center with dumbbells, weightlifting bench, and 2 cardio machines to keep my exercise routine going during my stay. There is also a nice spa in the hotel with massages and body scrubs & wraps at a reasonable price. The hotel also gives you a complimentary 30 minute massage in addition to 30% discounts on other spa services at the time of my stay. The breakfast was well prepared and delicious. You select off the menu with either Western or Asian offerings. My favorite was the eggs Benedict; the fact that it was done perfectly shows the skill of the chef. The coffee brewed with local beans was also of excellent quality. The staff members at the hotel are very professional and customer focused. The gentleman at the reception desk were always friendly and pleasant. They were also eager to help with anything to make your stay in Kampot enjoyable. One gentleman at the reception desk arranged a tuk tuk driver for a day tour of Bokor Mountain. The driver was so friendly and spoke perfect English which made for a wonderful day. This hotel is family-owned and focused on providing their guests with the best experience. During my stay, two family members on separate occasions approached me to see how my stay was going and asked for feedback on how they could improve their hotel and services. This personal interaction with their guests display their desire to make their hotel the best it could be. I highly recommend the Chateau Kampot and will definitely stay there again for my next trip to Kampot."

"Great location with a beautiful, clear view of the river . Everything looks green and refreshing. However, I experienced a small issue during check-in. I booked a river-view room, but upon arrival, they assigned me a garden-view room unless I paid an extra $5. It became a bit complicated as I had to speak with the manager and wait around 20 minutes to resolve it."

"I absolutely loved my stay at this resort. The facilities are exceptional — from the stunning swimming pool and the spacious, flower-filled yard with fruit trees, to the well-equipped gym and charming restaurant that serves delicious foods whole day. The outdoor areas are thoughtfully arranged, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere throughout the property. What truly made our experience special was the hospitality of the staff. In particular, I’d like to mention one of staff Saly, who greeted us with warmth and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfectly arranged. He even connected us with a friendly and English-speaking Khmer tuk-tuk driver who took us on a fantastic private day tour to five major landmarks at a very reasonable price. They helped us to book tickets to Phnom Penh and to use their motorcycle to the downtown. I’ve uploaded plenty of photos to capture the beauty of this resort — it truly leaves a lasting impression."

"Sparkling clean rooms and good breakfast selection daily. Staff are extremely friendly and proactive to checking for any suppprt guests may need. It is outside Kampot's main area but no problem driving by either moto or car."

"The facilities are okay. The staff were not rude, but they were not very friendly or helpful. No one helped carry our luggage or showed us how to use the room key card or explained the room facilities, so the service could be improved. I booked a pool view room, but my room was not directly facing the pool. Instead, it was facing the reception area. This was okay, and I didn’t mind because the pool area can be noisy. The rooms are very close to each other, so it was quite noisy from the neighboring rooms, and I couldn’t sleep well."

"The hotel was excellent. Spacious rooms, great pool , excellent staff. We loved our pool entry ground floor room. Highly recommended I would not recommend booking tours from the hotel as they may not be guides , just drivers that don’t speak your language. It’s also convenient to High Tide Doggy Pub, which I recommend to visit."

"Peaceful Retreat with Excellent Service Overall, Bali Villa Kampot is a great place to truly unwind and do nothing for the whole day. The environment is very peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing and escaping from the city. The only setback is the location. Google Maps and Grab do not link directly to the villa, and there are two listings named “Bali Villa Kampot” on the Grab app. If you select the wrong one, you may end up dropped off in a very remote area. It took me some time to figure this out. That said, the staff service is excellent—so warm and helpful that it quickly makes you forget about the transportation inconvenience. Their hospitality really stands out and enhances the overall experience."

"The room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean, which made me feel relaxed right away. The facilities were well-maintained and convenient, providing everything I needed during my stay. The staff were friendly and professional"
