"Spent 2 nights and never again. Room was tiny and so hot even with the window open and fan on all day and night. It was only 18 degrees so heaven knows what it would be like in a heatwave. Mu husband could barely get in the bed from his side as it was so cramped space. The table was so full of stuff there was no where to put our things. We asked for a quiet room as I am unwell and it was quiet but up 3 flights of stairs which isn't great for myself or my 76 year old husband. The bathroom was large with nice toiletries but after showering was like a sauna as no extraction system . The outlook was unbelievable. A broken fence and rubbish on someones roof. The receptionist was very unhelpful. Would not recommend or return."

Thirsk

"Lovely refurbished rooms. Friendly helpful staff. Great location, a 20 min walk into Thirsk or a short drive. The room was too hot and a bit stuffy, the staff provided a fan. The windows don't open which seems fairly standard"

High Paradise Farm

"We stayed here while walking a part of the Cleveland Way. We loved the quirky, comfortable accommodation. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the tea room too, especially the bacon butties. The homemade cakes looked amazing."

The Carpenters Arms

"Not as good as previously. We visited for an evening meal with friends during midweek. The restaurant was quite busy but not full. The service was really slow and lacked the attentiveness we had experienced here previously. The food had increased in price and although the quality was good, portion sizes were small and the menu was quite limited. We were disappointed as this has previously been one of our favourite places to eat"

"We wanted to visit somewhere quiet and relaxing where we could enjoy each other's company, this turned out to be absolutely perfect place. The site and local area are picturesque and the huts cleverly set out with everything you need. They look fantastic and quaint. They are so comfortable, clean and snug you really can't ask for more. There are a few options for eating out close by, we got a takeaway from the local pub and that was also fantastic. We only visited for 24 hours but this lovely place has left a lasting impression and we'll definitely go back again."
