"We arrived around noon on a rainy day. Luckily, there was a shuttle bus in front of the train station. You can tell the driver that you staying at this hotel and they will drop you in front of the hotel. the hotel also provides the flree drop-off at the train station. the room is very good with plenty of space and private toilet and bathroom. The onsen at the hotel even though small is very good ambience. Both dinner and breakfast are excellent. the service is beyond expectation!!!! Location is excellent as well. Recommend this hotel to everyone."

"Everything is perfect and relaxing as we wanted! We escaped from the city. We love this hotel. Blend of modern and traditional style. Very clean and spacious. The receptionist I forgot his name and he spoke very well in English and he made us feel at home. Very patience to explain everything and help us how to wear Yukata, a formal attire in Kinosaki. And just 12 minutes walk from the station."

"General impression: This is a super decent house with an excellent view of the kinosaki village. You could feel the management put lots of efforts to maintain the best comfort of every guest and the whole team operated under warm & effective process. While we are having breakfast or dinner in the dining area, their staff make a very efficient turn to change our yukata, towels, bottles of water, making up mattress on our room.That impressed us so much! Onsen quality: The onsen inside the house is well managed and run until mid night. We can go outside with the free pass of public onsens, but we also enjoy ourselves in the in-house onsen because of more accessories provided there. You can feel the onsen owner care about guests more than the public onsens outside. Dining experience: We enjoyed the half board experience for 2 nights, especially the 2nd night with the tajima beef sukiyaki. The flavors & taste feed us well. Though breakfast is a bit simple, but we could make up some room in our stomach to enjoy snacks or ice-cream in the village. My friend & I would definitely give 5 star rating to Yamamotoya, and will recommend our friends to visit you again."

"Our room was an oddly configured unit facing the main driveway, with a balcony that offered little privacy, requiring us to keep the sliding door closed most of the time. Both the public and private onsen onsite were disappointing and easily the smallest we have encountered in Japan. The room itself was quite dated and basic. The highlights of our stay were the excellent dinner and breakfast package, along with the friendly and attentive service from both the front office and restaurant staff. Free parking was also a nice benefit. Overall, the hospitality and dining were strong points, but the accommodations and facilities fell short of expectations."

"The ryokan is around 15 minutes walk from the train station. Kaiseki dinner was good but the lady who served me wasn’t attentive. She disappeared for a good half an hour. I needed to look for her to ask for some rice. The pick up points for shuttle bus wasn’t clear. I almost missed the pick up when returning to the ryokan."

"The ryokan is very near to the station. There’s a shuttle to pick us up by the station. By the time the bus dropped us off, the owner of the ryokan came out to help us with our luggage. The dinner and breakfast are amazing, the person who helped us with our meals is extremely helpful and speaks fluently English. He even remembers I need more water hence constantly filling the water jug for me. Overall, the stay is super pleasant, Yukata and a basket is prepared for the guest hence you can use them to visit the 7 mystic onsen."
