"We had an exceptional stay at Ananea Resort Tropea from start to finish. The service was outstanding, with incredible attention to every detail that made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout our stay. The breakfast was one of the highlights—an amazing variety of fresh, delicious options with personalized service that made each morning special. The beautiful, spa-like pool was the perfect place to relax, and the attentive poolside service made it even more enjoyable. The location is excellent, with just a short walk up the stairs into the charming historic centre of Tropea. We also appreciated the complimentary shuttle service to both the town and the beach, which made getting around effortless. Tropea itself exceeded all of our expectations, and we can’t wait to return.A great place for both couples and families. "Location is better nowhere. The room is spacious, light, from the balcony wonderful view on the roofs of neighboring houses. Isabella is very kind, helped me with heavy luggage. The hotel is on the 2nd floor, so with heavy luggage is a problem. From the station it came without problems, as the road to the center is downstairs. And here back to the station thought I would die to climb the hill. I regret not ordering a taxi at least from the trail of the historical center. The air conditioner worked well. There is a minibar chiller. Isabella gives on request beach towels, cleans, if necessary, can also ask for a tug, English speaks badly and understands, but it did not prevent all issues from being resolved. Isabel's breakfast is cooked by the preliminary menu you fill the day before. The servings are big, fruit and vegetables are excellent. The shower is a little old, water is badly left, but in Italy it is a frequent problem, in my opinion. Apparently the boiler is worth it, because sometimes the shower was cold water. But it is small, they have not spoiled the overall good impression of accommodation. I recommend this option for accommodation. The city is charming, photos on the Internet do not convey its beauty."

"Il Borghetto is genuinely beautiful, well designed, pristine clean and immediately relaxing on arrival. The pool is a salt water pool (no salt taste by the way) with no added chemicals which makes for a very fresh and soft water experience. Complete with a shaded reading area and kiosk bar serving drinks and food. We stayed in a superior room with balcony overlooking the pool area and out to the sea ( I believe they all do unless you select a garden view) which was modern, well laid out with great functional air conditioning and a large bathroom with walk in shower. Spacious bedroom area with high ceilings adding an additional layer of comfort. Supplied with a fridge full of soft drinks (chargeable on use) and standard kettle and beverages. Practical considerations, you do ideally need a car to make the most of the area to Visit the centre and the beach / port. There is no restaurant at the hotel , so go and enjoy what are a selection of incredible and varied eateries with the Romano restaurant associated with the hotel which is a cut above the rest with exceptional local cuisine and taste.( you pay a little more but you don't have to dine there every night). There is also a very good restaurant/ pizzeria within 5 minutes walk of the hotel called the Locanda if you wanted to stay local. If you like walking then walk to the centre but it gets humid , taxis are available and parking is best achieved earlier in the evening. You cannot underestimate the secure gated parking Il Borghetto offers when you genuinely see what is available and you definitely cannot underestimate the warmth and embrace of a family run establishment from the Romano family through arrival , breakfast and departure"

"Wonderful place to stay and visit Tropea! We were there for one night and this stay made our holiday special. The lovely Rossella and her family made sure we are happy and comfortable. It’s a true gem, clean rooms, beautiful view and very tasty breakfast with eggs, breads, cakes and delicious coffee! I will return here as soon as I come back to Tropea. It gives me a home feel at Villa il Barone ❤️"

"Definitely recommend this location. It does advertise Breakfast included in some places but this is wrong. There is a kettle and small fridge. Room 3 is a very nice room as shown in many of the pictures as it’s on the first floor on the corner. Good bathroom and bed. This is generally an in attended location and you are met at an agreed time to give access etc. Nice gardens and views and easy walking distance to the town centre in 10 minutes. Would recommend."
