📍 Geertebolwerk 1, Binnenstad, Utrecht

"The former palace, now the hotel, exudes a leisurely atmosphere from the inside out. The hotel is located in the old town of Utrecht. It is very convenient to go everywhere. There are ample parking spaces. It is worth staying and experiencing."

📍 Van Deventerlaan 10, Leidsche Rijn, Utrecht

"Unfortunately, there were traces of blood on the curtains and on the floor next to the mirror in our room. I also expect a toilet brush in a hotel. The location is good for travelers with a car, but a bit remote for backpackers. We both found the breakfast and the rest of the hotel's amenities to be good."

The Anthony Hotel ★★★★
"The hotel's facilities and interior design were fine, but my stay was still extremely unpleasant! First, the hotel was under renovation, but there was no mention of it when I booked through Ctrip. I only received a message from the hotel a few days before my check-in, informing me that some room areas were under renovation, but by then it was too late to cancel! Around 7 AM, although construction hadn't started, trucks loaded with construction tools were already parked on the roadside, and the noise from loading and unloading was incredibly loud! I was woken up to take some photos; it was a little before 8 AM! Second, I must say, the soundproofing of this hotel's windows was the worst I experienced during my entire trip to the Netherlands and Germany, bar none. My room was next to a not-so-busy street, but I could clearly hear the cars driving by and pedestrians talking! I can't understand why such poor soundproofing exists in Europe, where living conditions are generally considered demanding. The soundproofing was even worse than some of the guesthouses I stayed in during this trip! I was disturbed by various noises all night long, not to mention the church bells ringing every hour across the street! Third, the hotel's surroundings appear to be a predominantly Muslim neighborhood, which was unexpected. While there weren't any security incidents, I strongly advise against staying here for those sensitive about religion. The only positive aspect was the hotel staff at the front desk. The two young men who helped us with our luggage the next morning were incredibly friendly. Overall, for this price range, the experience was unacceptable to me. I strongly, strongly advise against it!"

"The location is amazing, and the repurposed building is a novel experience. The staff was super friendly and provided all the necessary information. The shared room was well thought out, with private curtains, and the shared bathroom was always clean and with plenty of available spaces."

NH Utrecht ★★★★
"Well…Someone entered our room in the middle of the night as they had a copy of our card (I don’t know how). After reporting it to their staff, we asked to change a room. He came up to understand the situation and told us to stay put and call him again if someone tries to enter again?! Of course, we rejected his proposal and demanded a change in room which he did do so. After all, we were offered free breakfast but 0 explanation or investigation into the matter even after probing. Room was pretty big tho"

Stayokay Hostel Utrecht Centrum ★★
"The price of the hostel is exorbitant, to say the least, considering the soap in the room was out, my room wasn't made up, my towels weren't changed, the shampoo was two sachets, and the windows couldn't be opened. I can't fault the central location, but I paid exactly double what I paid in Eindhoven, Rotterdam, and The Hague, where I've stayed in much better hotels."
