Astoria Hotel

Astoria Hotel

📍 Corso Filangieri, 23, Vico Equense
★★★ 8.8 (96 reviews)

"A great hotel! Next to the station waiting, the rooms are on one floor, there is no elevator, but there is only one small staircase, the staff expressed readiness to help with the luggage when necessary. Beautiful view from the window to the sea, the room is spacious, there is everything necessary. Two cabinets, teapot, fan, couch bed, blankets, double bed. The pillow was one for a person, but one was provided on request. The staff at the hotel is polite, that on the respiratory, that on breakfast. Restaurant is beautiful and modern, breakfast is good, a large choice of fruit (even kiwi and pineapple). It would definitely stop still. Very beautiful terrace with 24-hour access with sea view and city view"

Grand Hotel Angiolieri

"Good, the location is not so good, but it's OK if you drive. The room facilities are good."

Hotel Torre Barbara

Hotel Torre Barbara

📍 Corso Caulino, 77 Seiano, Corso Caulino, 77, Vico Equense
★★★★ 9.1 (103 reviews)

"The room was extremely clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is situated on a hillside overlooking the sea, offering breathtaking panoramic views. The hotel has a shuttle bus that picks you up from two train stations: Vico Equense and another whose name I can't recall right now. The second one is closer to the hotel. You can also book a bus to Naples Airport here for about €14 per person – a great deal! The bus journey takes just over an hour along the coastline, allowing you to enjoy the scenery on your way to the airport. The bus will stop at the hotel entrance; just ask the male receptionist. He'll tell you. I don't know his name because I was too busy, but he was incredibly helpful. He patiently waited with you for the bus, making sure you didn't get on the wrong one. I'm sorry, this place is just so incredibly beautiful. Once you're at the hotel, you don't need to go anywhere else. The hotel has about 22 rooms, so it's not crowded. You don't need to worry about privacy. The pool on the hillside is very clean, and the temperature is just right. The pool isn't deep. I'm 1.66 meters tall and can stand up to about chest height. Don't worry if you can't swim! The breakfast, lunch, and dinner here are all delicious. They even have lemon cocktails. I especially loved the tomato pasta. I've never had anything so good. This pasta was the first course of the main meal. Then on the first day, we had fried seafood. And for dessert, tiramisu. Italy is its birthplace. We watched the sunrise, sunset, afterglow, and the city lights across the way as night fell. We breathed in the fresh air deeply. On the stone path leading from the hotel's backyard to the restaurant, there's a lovely pomegranate tree laden with fruit. Below the garden is a cute little vegetable patch. All the vegetables are homegrown. There are lemon trees and fig trees. Occasionally, you might see one or two small lizards crawling around. Don't be afraid. You're much bigger than them. Swim for a while, sunbathe on a lounge chair, or play on your phone. After a good rest, go for a swim. This is a truly relaxing experience, and if you know how to enjoy life, don't miss it. However, don't book a deluxe ocean view room; you don't need it. The hotel's public areas all have stunning ocean views. The shuttle bus takes a break from 12 PM to 5 PM. There's no way around it; Italians need that much rest at midday. Besides picking you up from the two train stations, the shuttle can also take you to a nearby beach. I advise against it. Going to the beach requires booking a private club – the beachclub. They charge around €150 for two days. I don't think it's worth it. It's up to you. This was my first time staying at this hotel, and the value for money was amazing. What are you waiting for? There's a direct train from Naples. Have a great time!"

Aequa Hotel

Aequa Hotel

📍 Corso Filangieri, 46, NA, Vico Equense
★★★★ 8.6 (78 reviews)

"A lovely friendly hotel. We had a superior room with sea view and balcony. It was spacious and very clean. The bathroom amenities were excellent. Super raindrop shower. Breakfast was plentiful with a lot of choice. We also had dinner a few times in the evening. Very good value. I would certainly come back again. All the staff are friendly - from the front desk to the restaurant staff and the maids. 10/10."

Do'Petro Relax & Pool

Do'Petro Relax & Pool

📍 Via S. Vito, 8/a, Vico Equense
★★★★ 9.4 (16 reviews)

"Just had a fabulous week at Do’Petro. Perfect location to visit lots of amazing Italian towns. The train station is literally a 10 minute walk which takes you directly into sorrento, typical hilly walk to return back to B&B. The guest rooms are really lovely and exceptionally clean. Breakfast is beautiful, all freshly made every morning, orange cake is yum! The staff & owners are attentive and always available. The pool is located in the Italian garden, surrounded by lots of beautiful fruit trees. Very quiet & relaxing after a busy day. Thank you Mike, Jo, Scarlett & Ol"

"For a 4-star hotel, the rooms are quite small. The staff are friendly, but a bit disorganized. Overall, it's acceptable for the price paid."

Grand Hotel Moon Valley

"We had a lovely week here. The positives definitely out weighed the negatives. The views were stunning. I would definitely recommend booking a sea view room with balcony. The sunsets and views of Mount Vesuvius were just gorgeous. The pool was lovely and the water temp was perfect. We always got a lounger when we wanted one. It was very close to the train station, 10 min walk away on the same side of the road. The fact Seiano had its own harbour was a bonus too, it made taking boat trips a breeze. Two shops close by for snacks and drinks. The hotel offered trips to the Amalfi Coast and Capri which were very good value. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. There was a fridge and air con which were a god send on a hot day. A coffee machine or kettle at least would have been a welcome addition. A little noisy as right next to the road, but the blinds and curtains blocked out the street noise at night. The staff were all friendly. The food was pretty basic but ok. 3 courses and 3 options to choose from each evening for our starters and main course and a selection of desserts. I think you need to expect that from a 3 star hotel though. I would say it is a good solid 3 star hotel. If you want top notch then book a 4 or 5 star hotel. A great base for exploring in a truly outstanding area that won’t break the bank."

Astoria Hotel ★★★
"Great location near the station and buses. The room itself is small, but the view from the window was of Vesuvius, which is very beautiful. Breakfasts were very good, with a wide selection of everything, including fruit. But the shower was inconvenient: there were no shelves for toiletries, only an overhead shower, and the door was flimsy, so water leaked out. There was also no complimentary water; you could only buy it. The room had no refrigerator or kettle."

Do'Petro Relax & Pool ★★★★
"Our recent stay at Do Petro in Vico Equense was simply outstanding and exceeded all expectations. We stayed in a Junior Suite as a family of four and found it exceptionally spacious, with more than enough room for everyone to relax comfortably. The highlight was undoubtedly the enormous private balcony, offering breathtaking views across the Bay of Naples – the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee or watch the sunset. The cleanliness throughout the property was absolutely impeccable. Every area was maintained to the highest standard, making us feel immediately at home. Breakfast each morning was a truly special experience. Far from a standard hotel buffet, everything was beautifully presented and featured an incredible selection of homemade cakes, biscuits, preserves and freshly baked bread. It was clear that great care and pride went into every detail. The property itself is set on a peaceful hillside amongst lush orange and lemon groves, creating a wonderfully authentic and relaxing atmosphere. Despite feeling secluded, it is perfectly positioned for exploring the region. What really made our stay memorable, however, were the hosts, Katerina and Genny. They could not have been more welcoming, helpful or attentive. Their local knowledge was invaluable, and they were always happy to provide recommendations and assist with arranging excursions, helping us make the most of our time in the area. Vico Equense is an ideal base for exploring the entire Amalfi Coast. The town itself has plenty of excellent restaurants and a relaxed, authentic feel. It is also superbly connected, with Sorrento just a short train ride away and Naples reachable in under an hour. Along the route are some of Italy’s most famous attractions, including Pompeii, Herculaneum and Mount Vesuvius. We would wholeheartedly recommend Do Petro to anyone looking for a beautiful, family-run property that combines exceptional hospitality, stunning surroundings and a perfect location. We hope to return one day."

"Clean, Italian, food was ok, staff lovely, Italian, rooms were ok, location was good. I enjoyed my stay. Remember you are in Italy and it was amazing to experience the culture, food and everything Italian. If you choose to be miserable on your holiday you will find the negatives in everything. If you want luxury and perfection pay more and not stay somewhere that is reasonably priced. If you look for the positive you will find it and have a lovely time. If you look for the negatives you will find them and spend your holiday complaining."

"Located on a cliff overlooking the sea. Room 503 was a lovely room with views of the bay however it was noisy as we had constant noise of tables and chairs being dragged across the floor of the floor above. TV didn't work, it wouldn't turn on and shower cubicle had a fixed overhead shower but no hand held. Fridge with drinks which cost 2.50 euros for even a small bottle of water. Very good selection for breakfast and evening meal, staff friendly but service poor. Supermarket a 15 minute walk downhill from the hotel. ."
