About half the year the beach is swimmable and the other half of the year you can walk 10 minutes down the beach to where there is a safe cove to swim year round. Every November through March you can see the great whales playing from your balcony most of the day. Fantastic snorkeling is only 5 miles in either direction of the resort in Chileno Bay or Palmilla Beach.Beach chairs/towels and fins are provided for snorkeling or hanging out on the beach. From the pool deck area you can see up the coastline with the mountains to the right and the ocean to the left. Costa Azul beach is famous for it’s Zippers surf break so any day you’re likely to be able to watch the surfers and during the right season you can also watch the whales making their way along the coast. There is plenty of lighting around the pool area so it’s also a great place to hang out in the evenings while listening to the waves. Downstairs is a bedroom with a queen size bed, very comfortable living area to relax in and watch TV – Netflix and Prime included, and a FULLY stocked kitchen with eat in area.
