Aotea Motor Lodge ★★★★★
"The grandfathers and grandmothers at the front desk are very enthusiastic, the oversized jacuzzi, the parking space is just right, can stop. There are also many Chinese restaurants in the town, which is very good as the middle station for self-driving."
Anndion Lodge Motel & Conference Centre ★★★
"We booked a room with a private bathroom. The room was very dated but clean, the staff was very friendly. Perfect for an overnight stay."
Rutland Arms Inn ★★★★
"Arrived into Whanganui and found the hotel easily. After checking in, very easily, we went to our room. Not sure how old the hotel is, but the hall way & guest lounge very 1920’s with modern touches - comfortable & elegant. Our room was another elegant room with lovely touches accenting the period of the property. Though looking “old” the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was huge with a corner whirlpool bath, as well as a shower too. We ate in the restaurant that evening & both of us had a lovely meal. Great stay & definitely recommend it."
Asure Cooks Gardens Motor Lodge ★★★★
"Clean and quiet, and friendly staff, thanks"
Kings Court Motel ★★★★
"We had a very pleasant stay at Kings Court Motel in Whanganui. The motel was exceptionally clean and very well maintained, which made our stay very comfortable. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful, always happy to assist with any questions. The location is excellent — convenient and close to everything we needed. We would happily stay here again and would highly recommend Kings Court Motel to anyone visiting Whanganui."
Braemar House B&B and YHA Hostel ★★★
"The accommodation was surprisingly good for the price and location. The receptionist was very accommodating and waited for me until I arrived before she called it a day. I liked the common bathroom outside the main house as it was really warm and spacious."
BK's Magnolia Motor Lodge ★★★★
"Was kicking out a solo mum at 8.45 in the morning that's really shocking for going somewhere safe to stay for a few nights and expecting to clean a room that early is against people privacy. Also leaving someone stranded is also unprofessional especially paying and following all the rules to having a Karen work here is sad"
151 on London Motel & Conference Centre ★★★★
"More milk"
Siena Motor Lodge ★★★
"Another excellent stay although only for one night on this occasion. Ron is an excellent host. My unit was very clean, quiet and comfortable. I always stay here when visiting Whanganui. Very handy for supermarkets, restaurants and the shops in Victoria Avenue."
