Come explore small houses that do not have the roofs that we are familiar with, but are full of imagination, with the exhibition "Above the Ground, Below the Sky" by I Draw a House for My Friends (Mook - Mira Sureerat). For I Draw a House for My Friends, "home" is not limited to simple triangles or squares, but is a space of feelings. Her style of home may be in the shape of a cat, a moon, a heart, or even a house with a tree growing in the middle of the roof, a wall that grows into a flower, or even a house with wings that can fly. She draws with simple lines, using soft colors like watercolors and colored pencils, conveying a small world full of dreams, fragility, and the child inside everyone. In this exhibition, she brings "home" that used to be on the ground up into the air, as if symbolizing the feeling of being lost, lost, or in the middle of an important decision in life, through paintings of houses inserted in the sky, empty in the air, or hanging between dreams and reality. I Draw a House for My Friends questions the concept of "roots" and "home" of the mind, because a home does not always have to be on the ground. But it can be in our hearts, in our hopes, or even in times when we are not sure where we are headed. Sometimes, life brings us to a turning point where we do not know where to go. Sometimes, we grow up enough to realize that the world is too vast to control, and that we are just a small dot trying.
