"The biggest surprise of my trip to Zhongwei was staying at the Xiang Tengger Desert Hotel. Deep in the Tengger Desert, far from the hustle and bustle, the dedicated shuttle service made check-in hassle-free, saving us the trouble of driving into the sand ourselves. The rooms were clean and dry, which is quite rare for a desert environment, and the facilities exceeded our expectations. During the day, we enjoyed playing on the sand dunes, with plenty of activities like sandboarding and other desert adventures that kept the kids entertained. In the evening, we waited for the stunning desert sunset, and after dark, there was a bonfire party and fireworks. Looking up, we could see the brilliant Milky Way – the atmosphere was absolutely incredible. The staff were warm and attentive, quickly resolving any issues we had. Overall, it perfectly blended wilderness adventure with comfort, making it ideal for a family trip. If I ever return to the Zhongwei desert, I'll definitely stay here again."

"Stayed for 11 in the morning. I went to the restaurant recommended by the proprietress. It was clean and delicious. In the afternoon, the boss sent us to Shapotou to play. During the summer peak season, it was not easy to take a taxi. When we checked out, we also arranged a car for us in advance. We also presented two bottles of drinks for us to drink on the road. The guesthouse is decorated in a modern Chinese style, elegant and comfortable. Guest rooms are on the second floor, while the butler and restaurant are on the first floor, very convenient. Rooms use a password system; the butler sends the check-in code to guests' phones in advance. Upon arrival, the butler proactively helps with luggage, providing prompt and excellent service. The cleanliness is good, and the bedding is soft and comfortable. The guest rooms are named after wineries: Hesong, Xiaoya, Guofeng, Shunhua, Zhuyi, and Taotian are already released wines, while Jianjia represents the future. A bottle of Shunhua was provided upon check-in, which we finished that very evening! 👍🏻 The window overlooks a large vineyard, and you can even see the sunrise from your room in the morning. Breakfast is a buffet, with main dishes including pancakes and fried dough sticks, as well as corn and sweet potatoes. There's a good variety of side dishes, and the millet porridge is cooked perfectly – a very satisfying breakfast. After breakfast, the butler led us on a tour of the wine cellar and production line, giving us a deeper understanding of Yinong. "We brought our kids to visit the Tengger Desert and Shapotou. The environment was great, and the front desk staff were very enthusiastic. We arrived the night before, planning to go out the next day, but by the time we got there, there were no parking spots left near the entrance. The front desk staff guided us to park in the underground garage across the street and even kindly reimbursed our parking fee the next day. That definitely deserves a thumbs up! The hotel's location is excellent, the rooms are clean, tidy, spacious, and bright. When we checked out, the staff gave us detailed tips on how to avoid common pitfalls when visiting the Tengger Desert and Shapotou and even gave us sand-digging tools. Both kids had a fantastic time. Overall, it was a wonderful stay with a great experience. Highly recommended!"

Good value for money, friendly, helpful night staff, no language problem, easy and trouble free foreign friendly. The feedback is based on my room and my overall experience. The room was very clean, newish super clear, bright lights bathroom, with very nice shower. The beds are a bit hard but nothing major, very quite, small but manageable parking space, despite my car being a big. It was one night experience, short but pleasant with lots of food option but the front doors of the hotel. Which very convenient. Definitely recommend unfortunately, I forgot to take some pictures. ThumbsUp 👍

Located within the Xinheng Winery, the guesthouse is named after the owners, a name that evokes a sense of marital bliss.
【Guesthouse】The guesthouse facilities are excellent. The air conditioning is very comfortable, and the bathroom features a separate shower and toilet. Aesthetic design and thoughtful details are evident throughout. I especially loved the view from the large windows of the flowerbeds and succulents; the vegetation was lush and vibrant. There were also footstools and air purifiers. The manager mentioned that the guesthouse was established in May 2023. Located away from the city center, it's a perfect place to relax and rejuvenate.
【Wine Cellar Tour & Wine Tasting & DIY Wine Making Activities】These three activities are complimentary for guests. In addition to a complimentary bottle of welcome wine, guests can take home their homemade wine and even design their own cute labels. The wine selection is extensive, including both dry red and dry white wines, and one that particularly impressed me was the Horse Rosé, a sweet, dry rosé.
[Harvesting Activities] Guests can pick their own fruit for free. This season offers a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, including corn, green beans, cherry tomatoes, tomatoes, eggplants, green peppers, and cucumbers. The selection is excellent, making it especially suitable for family trips.

This is a good modern hotel that provides comfortable accommodations. The breakfast bar is great, and the hotel location provides easy access (by Didi or taxi) to the train and bus stations, as well as Guyuan's outstanding museum.
Only problems were having to overcome receiving two room key cards (one of which stopped working after a day), problem with the standard wifi authorization (room number and name). The night latch was broken/ non-functional. That wasn't a big problem, but reveals poor attention to facility maintenance/repair.
An oddity was that each elevator ride was punctuated by a loud noise that sounded like a dog's bark. I'm not sure what that noise reveals about the elevator mechanism.
All options taken into account, I'd definitely consider staying in this hotel on any future visit to Guyuan.

I felt comfortable from the beginning of the door, the front desk spoke softly and softly, and there was no cold alienation at all.
