"My friend booked the other Toyoko Inn near Morioka Eki and I only found out after trying to check-in.
Luckily the two hotels are quite close to each other.
The location was great, just a few minute walk from the JR station so I was able to pack my snowboard and walked to the station myself.
Breakfast was included. Variety was little but the menu changed everyday.
Room was bigger than I thought. I booked a single room but it came with a double bed.
I had my snowboard luggage laid out and still quite some space to walk around in the room.
The clam broth serving at night time was extraordinary good!"

"How do I describe this hotel? In one word: amazing. It was my first time experiencing a mixed-gender bath from over a century ago. I was truly impressed! The elderly gentlemen were just casually strolling around without a care in the world. Families, you absolutely must try the mixed-gender outdoor hot spring bath. It's located in the old wing of the hotel, a bit of a walk from the new wing, but once you're in the hotel, just grab a map and you'll find it. You can also take the opportunity to peek into the rooms and dining hall of this century-old ryokan. As for the room, it goes without saying that upon entering, you're greeted with a flood of green, which was quite a pleasant surprise. The only minor point is that the Hozawa River was a bit murky. I drove upstream along the river, and soon lost cell service, so it is quite remote, but definitely worth a visit. The two meals were decent, nothing spectacular but perfectly acceptable."

Anonymous UserThe hotel is ideally located, approximately thirteen minutes away from Morioka station, and equidistant with the nearby castle park. It is also within walking distance of many conveniences such as bakeries, combinis, and a local cinema. There are coin operated laundry facilities onsite, and the staff are helpful, kind, and professional. There is an onsite dining area, as well as dining facilities, which I can not attest to as I was on business and, as such, left early and returned late. However, the aromas were enticing! Morioka has many beautiful shrines and temples, with Nasukawacho and its 300 Buddha statues being of particular note. Enjoy your stay.

This hotel is really out-of-the-way; I'd recommend driving. It's mainly a place to go if you want to ski, as it's by a ski resort. I found the area to be very quiet. The hotel food was excellent, though you'll need some level of Japanese proficiency to effectively communicate with the staff. You can enjoy a bath in your room, or the hot springs downstairs. Overall quite nice, the rooms have a cottage feel.

Victor18Good location and near to the airport. I would say it is a very practical hotel to stay over while waiting for flight.
It meet all the needs, have a bath house vending machine,washing machine etc... Breakfast was also pretty good.
Taxi to airport was less than 10 mintutes and about 1100Yen. Can't really hear any planes flying so can sleep peacefully as well.
Hotel Staff was also helpful in booking Taxi for me. Have a 7 eleven nearby.

The Four Points by Sheraton Morioka is conveniently located very close to the JR station. Just exit West Exit and walk straight, then you can take the pedestrian bridge on the 3rd floor directly to the hotel's sign, take the elevator down, and you're there. The hotel is quite new, and my single room was well-designed; I could fit a 28-inch suitcase at the foot of the bed. The window opens, and the bed was comfortable. It was very quiet during my stay, likely due to lower occupancy, making it perfect for solo travelers. The only downside is that it's a bit of a walk to the nearest convenience store.

The hot springs are great, and the food is better than expected, but there is no air conditioning. If you come in summer, be careful. The hotel does not have independent toilets and bathrooms, and the sound insulation is also slightly poor.
