Stayed at Kama Hotel Medan and loved the modern, squeaky-clean vibes - definitely a fresh spot! Got upgraded to a spacious room, which was a nice surprise and much appreciated. But, holy majolie Batman! The night turned into a symphony of screaming motorbikes and zooming cars, thanks to the hipster youngsters treating the street like their personal racetrack. It’s a lively hangout zone, so pack earplugs if you’re not into the midnight Grand Prix soundtrack.
Location-wise, the is a delightful gem. A breezy 10-minute stumble from Medan train station, stone throw from the eerie charm of Tjong A Fie Mansion, and right across from Tip Top Restaurant and Bakery, where you can grab a pastry to munch while contemplating the chaos of the hipster-infested streets. Perfect spot if you enjoy your mornings with a side of historical haunt and your nights dodging motorbike mayhem. 😈
The room was actually comfortable and very well-spaced from my meeting location. Although it wasn't spacious, I didn't think it was as spacious as it was stated in the info. However, I couldn't sleep on my last night because my bed suddenly shifted quite far from its original position. It gave me goosebumps.
I stayed in room 307 here for two weeks. The bath water is large, warm and very good. The location is also very good, the cafe opposite and the sandy beef on the roadside are delicious, and there is a supermarket next to it to buy things very convenient. The price matches the environment.
Hotel yang sesuai dengan budget , resepsionis ramah dan sangat membantu , disaat mau mandi tidak ada sabun , handuk kurang bersih dan kamar terasa pengap. Aku akan menginap untuk pertama dan terakhir😭
This hotel is very cost-effective.
The room is clean and the customer service is warm and friendly
There are many restaurants, cafes, convenience stores around.

AAnonymous UserWe stayed for 3 days 2 nites at 2 (side-by-side) superior bungalows. All bungalows have their own balconies & 2 rattan chairs + small coffee table. Perfect place to enjoy majestic view of the lake toba with your tea/coffee/snack. All rooms have fantastic lake view.
It was a very relaxing stay, you can swim in the lake or dip in the swimming pool. They served good food. My kids loved the pizza. The lady boss prepared the pizza from scratch ⭐❤️ and it tasted way better than pizza hut or domino's...We ordered thrice 👍
Clean rooms, with hot shower & modern toilets. We had great sleep with comfy beds & pillows. The staff were very helpful too. Highly recommended! Thanks Tuk Tuk Bungalows 🌹👍
Eep_petrusAlvina Hotel & Cafe is one of the best budget hotel in Pematang Siantar city. It is located at the Megaland complex, which is around 5 minutes drive away from the city center. It is a modern hotel that is equipped with cafe on the ground floor, meeting room and rooftop restaurant. Within walking distance from the hotel, there are housing complex, business centres, restaurant, etc.
Room rate was still affordable. The Standard Room was quite cramped. The room came with air conditioning, TV set, in house telephone, in room dining, mineral water, hot and cold water shower. Free WiFi was available at the room and the speed was not bad.The bed comfiness was just so so. Free simple buffet breakfast was provided for all in house guests. Taste of the food was good. Breakfast spread was consisted of rice with dishes, fried rice, fried noodle, toast, porridge, slice fruit, traditional cakes, tea and coffee.
The hotel staff's hospitality was not bad. Parking was provided at the road side in front of the hotel.
GGuest UserThis location is perfect! Stunning and looks onto the river. The rooms are spacious and very comfy, with mosquito nets to over the whole bed.
Service at reception was excellent and we were able to keep our luggage there over night for storage while we did an overnight jungle trek. (Highly recommended) I used Izoen, the guide, to help me organize everything needed for an enjoyable hike. Hafiz was also amazing and such a wonderful person to help when I didn’t feel well and took me to the pharmacy nearby. Very convenient, warm people and safe👌
There was just one thing I would have really liked. In the room there is no kettle and coffee/tea cups to make your own coffee and tea in the room. I think this could be a nice addition - since there are such beautiful balconies and porches to sit outside.
Also there was no shower gel or hand soap in shower area. But there was a hand soap by the sink.

GGuest UserI like to live, I love to live, the Chinese basically live here, the boss, the work, you can choose this, and the southern language will be better life.
GGuest UserI booked a one-night stay in a room for one person. The room had an air-con but the hotel refused to give me the remote control device to turn it on. I did not know I had to book a different room to get the air-con working. I asked them repeatedly to upgrade and pay the difference in cash but they insisted not to allow an upgrade even though I had no upgrade option available in the Trip App. They wanted me to forgo the booking I did and book a room with an air-con at full price. I refused to waste the booking I did and they insisted not to take money and upgrade my room, so I ended up staying in an extremely hot room that night, which was unusually hot compared to the temperature outside. The room was very basic despite being big. No shampoo was available in the bathroom.
ЕЕвгенийKeep in mind that electricity on the island is periodically turned off, for several hours (5-6 hours). Otherwise this is a great place.
Delicious and varied cuisine, excellent views, helpful staff, some rooms have a lot of ants, but it’s possible to find the best option.
Excellent entry into the lake.
DDonドニThe best budget hotel I have ever stayed in Medan. I was upgraded to the Executive because the price I paid for the Double Room in the Trip app, was a little bit higher, but still much lower than the real price of the Executive room.
I was in doubt for staying in this hotel since the price they provided has no breakfast, but who needs it if you can order food online.
At night, the staff will make a call to say they have a promo dinner at the restaurant.
The best room if you are staying with your partner or family, but still need to bring your laptop 😁
