I had planned to see the souvenir shop on the day of check-out, but unfortunately it was closed on Thursday, so I wasn't able to do so. However, the inn lobby, where old armor and photos of Kusatsu from the Meiji period were on display, was a wonderful space that gave me a sense of history. However, because it is an old inn and not very well-built, we could hear the conversation of two women traveling in the room opposite and the sound of the TV quite a bit. Although I hesitated to ask them to close the sliding door leading from the entrance to our room, it no longer bothered us. If you do stay here, please make sure to close the sliding door at the entrance tightly and do not get too excited. I plan to stay here again if I go to Kusatsu.

The location is perfect, right on the main square. But this ryokan doesn’t ready for foreign travelers, even Signboard only in Japanese. Workers doesn’t speak English also. For breakfast you should choose time 7:30 or 8:30 and it’s so big (2 photo), but for me was very salty. There is two onsen - outside and inside on different floors.
