Location 8/10:
A little too far from the JR station, where the buses and the taxi stations are.
Staff:
Very polite, very helpful.
Facilities:
i can't smell cigarettes residues, but i can definitely feel it on the blankets, kind of sticky. Luckily, there are fresh sheets. The blankets are a little overkill for summers anyway.
individual showers plus bath tub, toilets. Although it's a little small, but it gets the job done. You also got free TV, with movies and stuff, BTW, people with kids might need have more parental control over the remote.
Check-in convenience: Very close to the station, but the floor wasn't clearly marked, causing me to wander around a lot. Better signage would be appreciated.
Safety: Private storage is provided.
Facilities: Exceptionally clean, with everything you need.
Cleanliness: Very clean.
Environment: The surrounding area is very convenient for dining, living, and transportation.
Service: The front desk was very friendly and helpful, and very patient with customers.
Close to the station, easy to walk to
The room is big, the bed is not too narrow
The bedroom and bathroom have balconies that can be opened with sliding doors
The rotary switch for adjusting the light at the head of the bed is very convenient
A facial mask was given as a small gift when checking in
Pick up toiletries before going upstairs
Not only facial cleanser, lotion and earplugs
But also makeup remover and bath agent (good reviews)
The CP value is high and the location is close to Wakayama City Station. It is on the left front after exiting the station, cross the road and walk for 5 minutes. The counter is on the 2nd floor and they speak Chinese. The public bath is quite clean, there are Japanese and Western breakfasts, and there is also a coffee machine. For a business hotel of this price, it is worth it.
The facility feels old, but it is good to be maintained. Moreover, I am satisfied with a large room. It can't help but be expensive, but it would be better if it was a little cheaper.
There was a problem with the location of the hotel. It is 200 meters away from the JR station. It is actually in the urban area. The station is outside the city and can only take a taxi. The distance is about 2km. It has been re-updated so far. There is no bus. In addition to getting on the bus directly at the station, we have to call the local phone. We only support Japanese. The town is very quiet. Unfortunately, we don’t have time to look at it. The fireworks meeting went, generally speaking, Ctrip helped solve the problem.
Hotel is located very close to Wakayamashi station.
Staff is friendly .
Room small and a bit outdated but clean .
Breakfast limited in choices but reasonable .
Considering the price it’s very good.
The hotel is very well maintained and offers an excellent quality price ratio. The staff have done everything to serve me and to accommodate me. Thank you very much. Yes, this accommodation is a little far from the Hashimoto station, but I've still enjoyed being in this area. It's very quiet; perfect for rest. You can find a 7-Eleven and good restaurants. If you need to walk to Kamuro Station, you will be walking through a beautiful residential area where there are beautiful heritage houses.
Very Japanese-style room~ I like tatami mats~ It's not far from the subway station and shopping mall~ (there is even an LV)~ It's only a short stroll away~ The surrounding area is very quiet~ It feels like home~ The owner's family is also very welcoming~ And A place to take a bath ~ suitable for a family of three ~ the key point is very suitable for Wakayama Castle ~ it takes only 15 minutes to take the bus ~ it is really comfortable
The accommodation is quiet, clean, first-class facilities, rich breakfast, walking out to take the Mingguang Bus, この駅は藤島です, it is also convenient, there are ”Family Supermarket” nearby, drugstores and so on. There is no Chinese service, you can use Baidu translation to communicate. The surrounding environment is also very clean and orderly, no dogs barking, and no dogs were found in Shirahama. It’s one stop to とれとれ market, and a taxi to JR Shirahama Station is 1,000 yen. The bar makes an appointment, and the driver will be there in a while. In short, the service is very good.

Great
GGuest UserWe stayed in this lovely family hotel for a night, we opted for room stay with dinner and breakfast. There's no shops or restaurant near by, so highly suggest to choose the stay with meals option, otherwise there's cooking facility within the room also, so I think it's possible to cook your own meal if necessary.
Location - the hotel is just round the corner of the famous Shirasaki Ocean Park, we even had a good view of the park from our room. There's parking space right in front of the hotel building, so it's very handy. We cycled to the Shirasaki Ocean Park then to the hotel, so it worked out perfect. There's a very steep slop going up to the hotel though, but it wasn't an issue for us as we pushed out bikes up.
Facilities - this is a family run hotel which believes was built a while ago, so can't compare it to all those new built hotels. The ”room” we stayed is more like a mini flat, it has a big kitchen, good sized bathroom with changing area, a separate toilet, a living room, bedroom and an extra ”sitting” area. The entire flat is in traditional Japanese style which we loved, and it has all facilities that made our stay comfortable. It also has coined washing machine and driers. We could even access to rooftop on the 4th floor to view the sunset. If you're looking for a quiet place to have quality time, then this is a good place to do so. There's also ”public bath” within the hotel, it's small but wasn't an issue for us. There's also shower and bath in the room also if you want some privacy.
Food - all food was cooked and prepared by the hotel owner, and she's a talented chef! Dinner was impressive, breakfast was standard.
The hotel owner is very friendly and lovely, it's definitely ”the place” to stay if you're visiting the area. We highly recommend it.
SsamllcatAfter booking a room with a bathroom, a monk took us to a semi-underground room. It was so cold. He showed us the shower and bathroom in the corridor. We told him that we paid more to book a room with a bathroom, and he took us to find an old monk. Unless we were mistaken, none of their rooms had a bathroom. I obviously spent hundreds more just to have a bathroom in the room, and it was clearly written on the order. He asked me to contact Ctrip at his expense, and he also contacted the agent. It took about an hour and a half to figure this out. He took us back to the original room and opened the locked door (at first we asked him what the small door was, and he said it was a maintenance room). There was a dirty toilet and a sink that couldn't be smaller. Anyway, there are no hotels on Mount Koya. If you want to stay, it’s a shukubo in the temple. They are expensive and have poor conditions, so think twice.
GGuest UserKind of annex of the sister hotel next door. In the annex is an onsen, washing machine and dryer (free to use), vending machines with beer and drinks and noodles. Room is basic. I had a great view on the river. Small balcony, but dirty and no chair. The annex is okay to stay if you are hiking.
The best thing is the sister hotel. A great onsen with outdoor bath. Nice souvenir shop with a bit more food. Staff are super friendly and helpful.
They also provide bus services (bring and pickup to Hongu Taisha, the other onsen places, the trailhead busstop) which you can use! Just call them if you want to be picked up.
I did not realize Kawayu Onsen is a very small place with NO supermarket. If you did not book breakfast (served at the sister) bring your own into town or eat instant noodles.
There are 2 small restaurants with delicious local food.
GGuest User200 meters from the three walls, the room is more spacious, Wifi is fast
Relatively shabby, nothing around
Suitable for evening, early departure
AaswayYouth hostel, for the convenience of the picture, almost all are disposable, the disposable quilt is very uncomfortable, the service is still very good, the bathroom is only open after 15 pm, so it is impossible to get up in the morning to shower.
LLvDarynaThe temple is really beautiful with stunning paintings in the dining room. There is a morning worship service you can join in which starts at 6am, but you can join any time as well as leave the service. Food is really delicious, I didn’t expect much from vegetarian dishes, but they were great. The amount of food is pretty decent, I didn’t feel hungry by the morning even tho I had dinner at 5pm. I traveled alone but I believe this room is specious enough for a couple. The convent location of the temple allows to walk to the main tramples and tourist office (where I got the night tour to the cemetery booked) as well as to the Eko-in temple from where that tour sets off.
GGuest UserI was getting a bit tired of the high prices of guesthouses in Kyoto, so I was thrilled to find such a comfortable bed in this tiny room, complete with a TV.
It's close to the station, making it easy to catch an early morning flight from Kansai Airport!

GGuest UserThis time, I had a great experience staying at [hotel name] booked by Ctrip! The location is excellent, and it is only a 5-minute walk to the subway station and the business district, which is very convenient for travel and shopping. The room is warm and tidy, and the bedding is soft and skin-friendly. I felt very comfortable after sleeping for two nights~ The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and the smart toilet and oversized shower bring a full sense of happiness! The hotel's service is even more considerate, from the front desk check-in to the room service, they are warm and professional, and they also gave us a good night sweet soup, which is a perfect detail! The breakfast is rich in variety, with both Chinese and Western dishes, and the taste is also great. The price-performance ratio is super high, and I will choose here next time I come. I strongly recommend it to everyone!
