ImpInitially hesitant about this hotel based on reviews, but our 1st night changed our mind — we ended up staying another nigh on 4th! Not flashy, but for the budget, the room cleanliness was top-notch, especially the bedsheets & pillows — super clean & comfy 👍 Azul, the staff we met on night 2, was awesome & made us feel welcome 🙏 Appreciated his help with our requests! Rate was a big plus compared to nearby hotels. Definitely coming back 😊

Stayed at Atelier Hotel Abiad Johor Bahru and had a pleasant experience. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable, with good air-conditioning and strong Wi-Fi. The hotel is conveniently located near many eateries and shops, making it easy to find food and daily necessities. Staff were friendly and helpful during check-in and check-out. Overall, it’s a good choice for a short stay in JB with reasonable pricing. Would consider staying again.

Clean hotel with clean room. Good hairdryer, dries hair quickly. Good tv and comfortable bed. Many eateries all around the hotel vicinity, there’s also a laundry shop near the hotel. Massage shops also just next door. Easy check in and check out. Eco hotel because the toiletries are in permanent bottles so zero waste on toiletries that way. Toothbrush and coffee available at the reception to take if needed. There’s lift at hotel for easy floors access. However the toilet is really very small and the arrangement of toilet bowl and sink is quite uncomfortable, too tight a space. Also the shower head angle is very bad and difficult to adjust. Bad toilet experience due to the layout of toilet and facilities. Other than that, it’s quite a nice stay

The stay exceeded my expectations. Both the room and walkways were clean and pleasant. The only drawback was the lack of a hairdryer. Still, I would happily return in the future. Good location with a covered walkway to the JB Sentral.

The room was spotless, and the actual layout matched the photos perfectly. The facilities were quite new. Although the room wasn't very big, it was well-designed. The customer service, including the manager, was excellent. After checking in, I chatted with the manager who told me all about Johor Bahru's local customs, language and accents, economic development, and more. There are tons of great food options nearby; many Chinese restaurants, some of which have long queues early in the morning. The area felt very safe. I even saw some cats lounging in front of snack shops that didn't move an inch when I approached – I had to walk around them! I also saw many women walking alone at night. All of this really solidified my positive impression of Johor Bahru.

For the price paid, I was expecting just another cheap motel. I was pleasantly surprised that check-in was smooth and the room was fantastic. No mouldy bathroom, clean sheets & towel, smart TV, cold air-conditioning. The only cons I could think of - no clothes hook in room nor bathroom. The toilet paper roll is exposed without a covered holder to prevent the shower wetting it. Given the price & comfort, I'd stay here again.

This hostel 🏨 is genuinely great! I dare say it's unbeatable for its price point. The host keeps the place meticulously clean and tidy. The common lounge area is designed predominantly in black, with a bar-like long table perfect for guests to have coffee and chat. They even provide a gas stove and cookware for guests free of charge. That's incredibly thoughtful! It's absolutely perfect for backpackers looking for a temporary stopover in JB! One thing to note is that this hostel is alcohol-free and pork cooking is prohibited, so travelers should be aware. And finally, a pleasant surprise is that the hostel has a cat that often cocks its head, super cute ớ ₃ờ! Overall, this hostel is truly an excellent place for backpackers to stay.

The room is bright and somewhat clean (just tiny hair in bed and the toilet still wet cuz no fan in the toilet to make it dry faster from cleaning). The table provided is kinda small but enough for quick use (not ideal for laptop user). Other than that, the self service kiosk is very convenient (cash RM50 deposit needed) and also basic amenities available (hair dryer, plugpoint, water heater, aircond, tissue). The location is just in residential area.
