"The hotel exceeded my expectations. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. The front desk staff were warm, polite, and proactive in assisting with any issues. Its proximity to numerous dining and shopping options was incredibly convenient. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay, and I was very satisfied. The room itself was spacious and bright, and the cleanliness was exceptional. The bathroom was spotless with plenty of hot water, and the air conditioning worked perfectly."

"The room was spacious and comfortable. However, the app mentioned that there would be a refrigerator, but there wasn’t one in the room upon arrival, which was a little disappointing. The soundproofing was also not very good as noise from outside could be heard clearly🥹"

"Nice hotel, my second time here and this time I took the Deluxe Double with windows. Room is spacious and clean, comfortable bed and pillows but shower was a bit leaky, so had to turn off the main. Parking was not too difficult and although they had reserved parking for free, there are only 2 lots."

"The room was very clean, and the owner's design was thoughtful. They even had an electric mosquito repellent device outside the room (though I still recommend bringing an extra one, as I did encounter some mosquitoes). You can tell if the bathroom is occupied by the light. If you're taking a taxi, the location might feel a bit remote, but there's actually a gas station with a convenience store just a short walk away. Considering the low price, this is truly excellent. However, there are a few things to note: doing laundry costs 7 MYR per cycle, and air conditioning is 13 MYR per day. Also, since the entire building is single-story, there's still a possibility of encountering small insects like ants in the room."

The location is also a plus, especially for travellers who need easy access to the CIQ and nearby city attractions. The hotel offers good value for money, and the facilities provided were sufficient for a comfortable stay. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would consider returning on my next trip to Johor Bahru."

"The hotel's location is pretty good. From the Johor Bahru CIQ exit, you can follow the connecting bridge all the way to R&F Mall, and the hotel is nearby. Google Maps' directions aren't great; it's easier to come out from R&F Mall, pass Da Shanghai Dim Sum and Jaya Supermarket, then cross the road to reach the hotel. Plus, there's an elevator, which is convenient for travelers with luggage. The hotel's hygiene is good; it's quite clean. Check-in is done via machine, which is very simple. The dormitory rooms don't have air conditioning, and you can't open the windows, so you rely on a fan for cooling. It was fine in May, but in August, it would definitely be a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise, everything else is completely worth the price. It's suitable for those traveling to Singapore and staying in Johor Bahru. I would stay here again next time, and I hope the dormitory rooms will have air conditioning then."

"Staff is very friendly in person but location is a little off. Still a very pleasant stay as the place is clean and minimalistic. Only negative is the toothbrush they provide is very flimsy and the toilet seat is wonky. Value for money. Rating overall is still a 4.5/5"

"The Deluxe King room is large and comfortable and more space than the standard room. It also has a large toilet/shower. There is no bin the toilet, had to use the one bin in the bedroom. There are some amenities such as toothbrushes and soap but hidden in a small black tray in the corner of the long table below the TV, under the mineral bottles. If room is not bright because the curtains are not fully drawn, you would miss it which happened to my group. We booked 4 rooms and none of us knew there were toothbrushes provided, some of us went out to buy. One of us only discovered the existence of the tray the next day! Also, there are 2 TV controls and no instructions on the back of the controls nor in the room on how to operate the controls; one is for switching tv on/off only and one for controlling channels/sound. Had to approach the counter staff who then came into the room to explain. It would be much more pleasant experience if the counter staff just give a mention about where these things or how to work them at the time we were checking-in, and Before we have to ask. On the Sat night, there was some disco music playing from a distance away where the sound is not audible but the base beat-by-beat vibrations could be felt in the air even though all the windows were shut and locked down, and this went on the WHOLE night and gave me a poor sleep. I was surprised why this happened as I chose this hotel because many reviews from guests say the Milano hotel has good sound-proof rooms. I later discovered gaps in my windows even when they are shut and the gaps are not filled-up/sealed in room 208! Thankfully, the horrible music did not play on the Sunday night. I could put up with the other inconveniences which are minor, but if there were to be sound disturbances throughout the night, having the gaps in the windows was disappointing. Positive side, I like the availability of water to top up our tumbler at the front office area, besides the 2 bottles of mineral water in the room."
