"Room is not big, not much space to put your stuff on the toilet counter. Also no door at the shower area so water will spray out, making the floor wet. There's a window in the room but it's facing the reception so basically can't lift up the blinds. And also as the room is near the lift and reception, walls quite thin so it's quite noisy. "The Deluxe King room is large and comfortable and more space than the standard room. It also has a large toilet/shower. There is no bin the toilet, had to use the one bin in the bedroom. There are some amenities such as toothbrushes and soap but hidden in a small black tray in the corner of the long table below the TV, under the mineral bottles. If room is not bright because the curtains are not fully drawn, you would miss it which happened to my group. We booked 4 rooms and none of us knew there were toothbrushes provided, some of us went out to buy. One of us only discovered the existence of the tray the next day! Also, there are 2 TV controls and no instructions on the back of the controls nor in the room on how to operate the controls; one is for switching tv on/off only and one for controlling channels/sound. Had to approach the counter staff who then came into the room to explain. It would be much more pleasant experience if the counter staff just give a mention about where these things or how to work them at the time we were checking-in, and Before we have to ask. On the Sat night, there was some disco music playing from a distance away where the sound is not audible but the base beat-by-beat vibrations could be felt in the air even though all the windows were shut and locked down, and this went on the WHOLE night and gave me a poor sleep. I was surprised why this happened as I chose this hotel because many reviews from guests say the Milano hotel has good sound-proof rooms. I later discovered gaps in my windows even when they are shut and the gaps are not filled-up/sealed in room 208! Thankfully, the horrible music did not play on the Sunday night. I could put up with the other inconveniences which are minor, but if there were to be sound disturbances throughout the night, having the gaps in the windows was disappointing. Positive side, I like the availability of water to top up our tumbler at the front office area, besides the 2 bottles of mineral water in the room."

"This hostel 🏨 is genuinely great! I dare say it's unbeatable for its price point. The host keeps the place meticulously clean and tidy. The common lounge area is designed predominantly in black, with a bar-like long table perfect for guests to have coffee and chat. They even provide a gas stove and cookware for guests free of charge. That's incredibly thoughtful! It's absolutely perfect for backpackers looking for a temporary stopover in JB! One thing to note is that this hostel is alcohol-free and pork cooking is prohibited, so travelers should be aware. And finally, a pleasant surprise is that the hostel has a cat that often cocks its head, super cute ớ ₃ờ! Overall, this hostel is truly an excellent place for backpackers to stay."

"The place is okay and surrounded by small shops. I also enjoyed going to Aeon Mall to buy some gifts. The only downsides were that there was no hairdryer and I could hear noise from the adjacent rooms. Overall, it's nice, but I was hoping for more consideration. At this price, it doesn't seem too cheap, and JB might be a better choice."

"The hotel's location is pretty good. From the Johor Bahru CIQ exit, you can follow the connecting bridge all the way to R&F Mall, and the hotel is nearby. Google Maps' directions aren't great; it's easier to come out from R&F Mall, pass Da Shanghai Dim Sum and Jaya Supermarket, then cross the road to reach the hotel. Plus, there's an elevator, which is convenient for travelers with luggage. The hotel's hygiene is good; it's quite clean. Check-in is done via machine, which is very simple. The dormitory rooms don't have air conditioning, and you can't open the windows, so you rely on a fan for cooling. It was fine in May, but in August, it would definitely be a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise, everything else is completely worth the price. It's suitable for those traveling to Singapore and staying in Johor Bahru. I would stay here again next time, and I hope the dormitory rooms will have air conditioning then."
