The room was spacious and the heating worked very well. The key was unique, but the facilities were a bit old. The shower curtain didn't really keep the water in, so the bathroom floor got very wet. The courtyard next to the room was quite nice. Room 509 is actually on the ground floor. I also got bitten by mosquitoes at night, but luckily I managed to kill them quickly.
The front desk had a peculiar process: when I checked in, they asked for my credit card to register the number. The next day when I checked out, I inquired about it and was told it was to prevent guests from forgetting to pay city taxes or other fees after leaving. They also assured me that the card information would be deleted later and not to worry.

The hotel's location is super convenient, just a five-minute walk to the left after exiting Venezia S. Lucia train station on Venice's main island. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is plentiful, with a great view of the canal from the restaurant. The only minor issue is that you have to walk down half a flight of stairs after getting out of the elevator, but everything else was perfect.
Hotel is located right by bus lines from center Mestre and train station. Our stay included breakfast which was decent. Room was modern and simple though not much amenities were provided (I.e. complimentary bottled water which many hotels in Italy provide).
This hotel is great! I saw a lot of Chinese guests staying here. The room was clean and tidy, and the restaurant staff were very friendly during the two breakfasts I had. The hotel is located right by the highway, with a bus stop outside that goes directly to Venice's main island and the airport/train station. It's perfect for travelers who need to catch a flight the next day or are just arriving in Venice and want to rest for a night. The only downside is that the cleaning staff were very loud in the mornings while cleaning the rooms and in the hallway. I was woken up at the same time both days, which was a bit annoying.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at BW Premier Collection Continental and couldn’t be happier with my experience.
The location is unbeatable — just a five-minute walk from Santa Lucia Train Station, which makes arriving in Venice incredibly easy, especially with luggage. You’re right in the heart of the city while still being able to relax comfortably.
The service was truly impeccable, from reception to room service. Every staff member I interacted with was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. One moment that really stood out: I was allowed to sit on the lobby couch and enjoy a bottle of wine that I hadn’t purchased from the hotel — something that almost never happens. Not only did they allow it, but they brought me glasses and even opened the bottle for me with a smile.
Later, I went to buy more wine from the bar, and even though they had technically just closed, they still served me without hesitation. That level of hospitality really says everything.
Amazing location, outstanding service, and a warm, generous atmosphere. I will definitely come back, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay centrally in Venice while enjoying truly exceptional service.
Cleanliness: Spotless.
Facilities: Well-equipped, with a large 1.8m bed. A complimentary bottle of water is provided upon check-in.
Service: Warm and welcoming service, with a rich and delicious breakfast.
Convenient transportation, close to Xinmen Railway Station, making it easy to get around.
The location is quite convenient, about a 10-15 minute walk to the train station, and there are bus stops nearby.
There's no kettle, and all drinks in the mini-fridge, including a 500ml bottle of mineral water, cost 1.5 euros. The tray only has two glass cups, with no free coffee or tea for brewing. Even though I never use them, their absence makes the hotel seem cheap. The only saving grace was that the restaurant staff downstairs were very nice and willing to fill my thermos with hot water. There was only toilet paper, no facial tissues. This is the stingiest four-star hotel I've ever stayed in.
I had already paid the full room rate, but upon check-in, they insisted on scanning my passport and credit card together for their records. Luckily, I had covered my security code beforehand. I don't understand why this rundown place needed to keep a credit card on file, probably for those overpriced drinks in the fridge? I'd been traveling for ten days, and all other hotels only required an additional city tax payment. This old-fashioned place was the only one that insisted on a credit card deposit.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a 2-minute walk from Santa Lucia train station, making it very convenient for trips to Rome and Florence. There are also many boat terminals nearby for scenic boat tours, so transportation is a breeze. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming, and they even provided a free map of Venice. The morning service staff were attentive and thorough. Breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options. The room was clean and well-equipped with plenty of power outlets (though adapters are needed). The central air conditioning provides both heating and cooling. The bathroom was spacious with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Besides shampoo and shower gel, they also provided body lotion, which was a very thoughtful touch. The heated towel rack was a fantastic detail, ensuring warm towels every time – they really think of the guests! The entire room was very spacious, and the facilities were brand new. The family suite has a unique design and can accommodate four people, offering good privacy.

This hotel is too far from the beautiful Doge's Palace area; it takes at least half an hour to get there from the hotel, which is quite a walk. It's impossible to go from one end of the seaside to the other and come back to rest in between during the day. Taking a water bus costs upwards of 9.5 euros, which isn't worth it. I suspect the hotel management is boosting their ratings on Ctrip because the rooms assigned to our group of Chinese guests were either tucked away in the back, next to the linen storage room, or on the first floor. In any case, we couldn't get a peaceful night's sleep, and the noise started promptly at 6 AM. The shower head was broken, so only the overhead shower worked, and the room had a somewhat dark ambiance. Breakfast was decent, though.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with everything I needed for a pleasant stay.
The location is excellent, close to many attractions and easy to get around. I also really enjoyed the amenities and the overall atmosphere of the hotel—it felt welcoming and relaxing.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and I would be happy to return in the future.

MMin HuiThe hotel is only a 10-minute walk from the station and within 20 minutes' walk of various attractions. The front desk staff is very friendly and enthusiastic, and the breakfast is rich and delicious.
MMailailuanhaobuhaoThis is a large hotel with excellent facilities, including a capsule coffee machine. It's clean and hygienic. It's about a 5-6 minute walk from the train station, which is very convenient for getting onto the island as there are always trains running. Plus, you don't have to carry your luggage onto the island. However, the window faces the train tracks, so it can be a bit noisy.
AAnonymous UserVery good experience in this hotel. The very large and clean room. The staff very careful and have gluten-free food. Furthermore, it is very close to the Academia bridge that crosses the great channel. They also have a restaurant in the same hotel. I therefore recommend it 100%.
ZZefinityThe biggest advantage of this hotel is its location, but honestly, everything else feels a bit subpar compared to other four-star chains like Hilton. Perhaps it's because Venice's urban infrastructure is quite old. The hotel lobby is nice, but the in-room facilities have some flaws, like certain glued-on fixtures that easily fall off. They do have both new European and old Italian standard power outlets, which is, I guess, okay. There are also a few other minor imperfections, and around 2 AM, there seemed to be a party with young people nearby.
Overall, though, the location and experience justify the price. There are plenty of dining options nearby; I recommend trying some of the highly-rated restaurants for pasta, pizza, and gelato – the prices are good too. After all, hotels on the main island are even less cost-effective and have older facilities. If you have higher expectations for your experience, I'd suggest going a few kilometers away to a Hilton Garden Inn or similar. The price is about the same, the facilities are better, but transportation isn't as convenient. Otherwise, you'd have to pay double the price for something on the main island. For lower expectations, you could try other nearby hostels that aren't hotels.
GGuest UserWhat a fabulous hotel perfectly located a block from the Grand Canal and close to both the Rialto Bridge and St Marks Square.
The receptionists are outstanding and answered all of our many questions with comprehensive answers, patience and respect. Can’t rave enough about them.
The rooms are even prettier than indicated on line, with plush bedding, a large bathroom and plenty of space.
Breakfast was convenient and offered a large variety of choices. Service was also exceptional.
Without question - you will enjoy this full service hotel. As a bonus, there is also an elevator so you don’t have to lug your suitcase up the stairs.
MMartin SnellingWe recently stayed here for 5 nights to take in the sights of Verona and surrounding cities. While I can't complain about the price, and for that, it was a bargain, there were a number of issues that resulted in a less than perfect rating.
The location: While it looks close to the main train station, it is about a 25 minute walk. However the 23/24/73 buses run regularly and pick-up / drop-off very close to the hotel
Lidl: next door to the hotel is a Lidl - it was a godsend and well worth visiting (if only for the fresh cheese focaccia).
The hotel itself was very clean but:
- The rooms have wooden floors and the walls aren't super-thick. So, when someone checks in to their room nearby, you can hear everything. At midnight, it isn't great when they're walking in heels across the floor.
- Lack of plug sockets - there was one usable plug in the room that is shared with the kettle, and one in the bathroom!
- Air conditioning (or severe lack of) - the rooms have air con, however, it wasn't switched on and I was told by reception that at this time of year (October) they don't have it switched on. The room temp was in the high 20s which led to us not actually sleeping under the covers - we spend 5 night sleeping on top of the bed as the room was just too hot. We couldn't sleep with the window open as their was too much noise from outside.
- The toilet flush was leaking 'hot water' - but this was repaired / replaced with a different toilet flush
- Staff: They were helpful when housekeeping has vacuumed up one of my wife's earrings, but didn't offer any assistance with regards to the heating in the room
GGuest UserI stayed here for the 3 nights I’ve visited for with my spouse and we enjoyed our stay here as it was located close to where we had access to bus routes as well as Venice overall clean and affordable hotel, only down side was receptionists staff were not as helpful e.g. i asked for salt one night at receptionist and i got no response then he was on a call then after he knew i was still waiting and decide to take a look only to say there’s none left until i found it myself few other things did occur similar to this. Others than this it’s good value for money would visit again

TTDorisThe shuttle boat we booked with the hotel cost 22 euros per person and took us directly to the hotel entrance, which was a great experience. It was perfect for enjoying the beautiful scenery of Venice without anyone else around. You can also take a bus directly to the entrance. I didn't visit the Glass Island last time, so I wanted to explore it this time. The hotel is right outside the scenic area, so it was a great place to wander around. The bus from the entrance goes directly to the main island, which is quite convenient, but you still have to walk a bit to the boat station. The room was average, not very clean, and the view from the window was lacking, so choose carefully if you mind. I stayed at a five-star hotel in San Marco on the main island last time and was dissatisfied because it was too old. I wonder if Venice is just like that. The beautiful weather and the beauty of Venice these days may make up for some of these shortcomings.
