"This was a beautiful location for a relaxing and romantic getaway. The restaurant does not serve lunch and dinner had to be pre-ordered with reservations in advance so plan accordingly. Wine menu was extremely limited and service was OK but not exceptional. Beyond the restaurant thought, the grounds and locations were exceptional and made a grat base location to come back to after a day of touring the Duoro. 20€ per way via taxi to Regua if you do not have a car. We made arrangements with a local company (Taxi Tavares - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) who organized excursions and tours for us. The Duoro is worth a destination visit!"

"When I checked in (around 6 PM), the door was locked, so I initially thought it wasn't a hotel and had some difficulty finding it. I was told that the door was kept closed for safety reasons. The hotel is located within a vineyard and offers a spectacular view overlooking the Douro Valley. The staff were very friendly, and the overall quiet atmosphere allowed for a comfortable stay. I was particularly impressed by the thoughtful preparation of the breakfast, and I was very satisfied."

"Beatiful house with nice comfortable rooms, a super nice living room for spending the evening . Good breakfast and a nice, clean pool. Big garden with grapes and olive trees, kiwi and qrapes on top of the parking lot. Enough parking space. Definitely worth a visit during your douro valley tour. Some nice restaurants to visit in the small towns nearby. Tasty wine from own production and very friendly owners"
