"If I were to rate the room alone, this guesthouse exceeded my expectations. Even though I booked a special offer room in the basement, there were absolutely no issues with ventilation or natural light. On the contrary, on a warm winter day, bathed in the soft glow of the lights, it felt like my own cozy little haven. If I visit again, I'd still choose this place. (The lady at the front desk was beautiful and kind-hearted, always willing to help and answered every question with a smile, which truly warmed my heart.) Now for the downsides: breakfast was served about a 10-minute walk from the guesthouse, which isn't a huge deal. However, the breakfast service was a world apart from the guesthouse's excellent service. The staff didn't even lift their heads when we entered or left, completely engrossed in their TV show. And they didn't provide Wi-Fi, which I consider a very basic service, right? Also, could you please avoid serving rotten fruit to guests? The breakfast quality was more about presentation than substance; it looked good for photos, but the taste left much to be desired."

"The most comfortable parent-child hotel we've ever stayed at with our child! I wholeheartedly recommend it to all moms and dads out there! 🛏️ Three-meter super-wide bed, tumble around worry-free! The room features a super-sized tatami area with a special mattress over three meters wide. Our child can roll around freely while sleeping, and we adults don't have to worry about them falling off the bed at all. We finally got a full night's sleep! 🎠 Kids' playground + thoughtful service, hands-free! The hotel's public area on the first floor is an absolute paradise for children! It not only has bookshelves, climbing frames, and a trampoline, but it's also very close to the front desk. When the staff aren't busy, they'll even proactively play with the kids, allowing parents to relax on the nearby lounge sofas, enjoy a coffee, or scroll through their phones. It truly delivers a ”hands-free” experience. 🌳 Superb ambiance, cozy and comfortable! We stayed in a first-floor room, and just outside the window was a small green park. The afternoon sun filtering through the tree shadows into the room created an amazing atmosphere. The room is very spacious, and the separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom are incredibly convenient. We stayed here for three days, and the whole family was super happy and comfortable! It's definitely our top choice when visiting Datong, and we can't wait to go back!"

"The Garden The hotel is a bit dated and the rooms are on the smaller side, but the heated toilet seats were a definite plus. While there's no view from the hotel, its location is absolutely fantastic. Shanhua Temple is right around the corner, along with popular restaurants like Xijindao and Zini. A short stroll also leads to a bustling commercial pedestrian street, where you'll find a Foxiaoban concept store. The Garden's restaurant is also quite renowned. Dishes such as Ban Huanghua, Garden Scented Chicken, Crispy Fried Hairtail, and Lamb's Head Meat were all very tasty. However, the much-talked-about walnut pie was a bit on the sweet side. There was some noise from a nearby construction site operating in the mornings and evenings. Given the hotel's older, open-atrium design where rooms surround a central void, noise from the 2nd-floor restaurant's early morning cleaning could also be heard. Despite these minor issues, overall, it was a good stay. The service was warm and friendly, and it's incredibly convenient for exploring nearby attractions."

"This inn is situated on the east side of Huayan Temple Square, right next to Huayan Temple. It's also a short distance from other attractions like Chunyang Palace, the Drum Tower, and Daiwang Palace. With numerous eateries nearby, such as Longjuxiang Shaomai Restaurant, it's incredibly convenient for both sightseeing and enjoying local delicacies. The inn's interior boasts traditional-style decor, creating a tranquil and timeless ambiance that truly transports guests back in time. Each room is uniquely themed, and while some might be a bit compact, they are distinctively and tastefully furnished, offering a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Furthermore, the rooms are immaculately clean."

"Facilities: The facilities are complete. The front desk lobby features a reception area, reading area, small office area, and children's play area, offering comprehensive and comfortable amenities. In addition to essential facilities, the rooms are equipped with a smart voice assistant that connects to the entire smart system. Appliances and curtains can be controlled by voice. Besides the sleeping area, there is a small refrigerator and a comfortable sofa. Cleanliness: The rooms are clean and odor-free. Cleaning staff can perform cleaning according to guests' requests. The bathroom has a smart toilet with a high degree of automation. The rooms are warm and have ample hot water. Environment: Convenient transportation. There is a bus stop right outside, parking spaces in the courtyard, and easy access to taxis. The surrounding area is quiet with no unusual noises. The front desk and elevator are clean, the corridors are bright, and the rooms are spacious. It was a very comfortable stay. Service: Excellent service! The staff were very friendly! The shuttle service was very thoughtful. This is a high-quality and affordable hotel overall! I would definitely choose this hotel again if needed!"

"Beautiful new hotel. Very friendly staff who offered two gifts to every room during the national holiday. Room felt spacious and luxurious and was sunny and mostly quiet during a very busy holiday period. Hotel restaurant was also delicious with good service. We ate there twice. We also had breakfast everyday of our stay. Very nice quality including lots of local ingredients and choices was fantastic! The hotel is so conveniently located in the ancient city. Walking distance to a really nice cafe with great coffee, lots of restaurants and all the main attractions including pop up laneway markets selling ancient treasures. Honestly, it’s a fantastic hotel and felt worth the price. "It was my first time in Datong and I spent a long time choosing a hotel. I finally chose Manxin Hotel. The experience was great. I made an appointment for the high-speed rail pick-up in advance, which was very punctual. The hotel environment was also very good. The front desk lobby was bar-style and very comfortable. All the service staff in the hotel were very good, very enthusiastic and thoughtful. The breakfast was also very rich and very good. I strongly recommend this Manxin Hotel to Datong.
