"6 of us stayed there for a couple nights in February after riding our bikes across Nepal. It was a great resort to unwind and relax at after our big journey. We went on a Safari one day and saw all kinds of animals (unfortunately no Tigers), and the other day we relaxed around the pool. The resort is right on the edge of Bardia National Park, and each evening we would ride our bikes 5 minutes south to watch the sunset from the riverside. The staff were great, one night we had a bonfire with them and enjoyed some great BBQ Chicken. The Dhal Bhat was also delicous. The rooms were very comfy and clean with nice mattress's, good TV's, and the area is quite peaceful, except for Roosters on the south side of the resort so I suggest requesting a different side of the resort to stay on if you are a light sleeper. Overall it was a great experience and we will be looking forward to returning soon!"

"Best hospitality, best price, friendly staff, yummy food. Visited the resort during nepali festival Holi , the place was good . Went for jeep safari and had a chance to see tiger and leopard. It was majestic. The guide guided us about tharu culture as well. We enjoyed tharu dance as well"

Bardia Forest Resort ★★

"They have very nice Walking- and River-Safaris with a very experienced Guide named Arjun Chaudhary. We spotted 3 Tigers, 2 Rinos, Crocodiles, plenty of dear. The landscape is riverbanks, praire, paches of forest and dense forest. They pick you up at Nepalgunj Airport by E-Taxi and you can even extend your stay and visit Suklapantha Nationalpark. They have the famous Swamp-Dear, Crocodiles and much more. So enjoy your stay, hosted by friendly Arjun."

"I intended to stay for a few days in the Mango Tree Lodge but ended up staying two full weeks. Very nice people, always helpful and flexible. I did every day either a walking safari or jeep safari with them. Their guide is excellent, he is almost always the first to see a rhino, elephant or tiger coming out in the open. He also knows a lot about the birds in the park and recognizes many by the sound. Bardia is a beautiful park, and not very crowded."

"Excellent stay, unbeatable value for money! We were supposed to stay 3 nights, we stayed 6!! Ideally located on the edge of Bardia National Park, we went for several walks in the forest, along the river (in which it is possible to swim in the dry season because the water is very clean) and in the small village just 15 minutes away on foot. The hotel is quiet, pleasant and relaxing in the middle of lush vegetation. The accommodations, typical of the region (small individual houses made of wood, bamboo and terracotta) are comfortable. The bedding is very good, the windows are equipped with mosquito nets, and some rooms have air conditioning (the others all have a fan). Madou, the owner, and his wife, Anita, welcomed us like family. They took great care of us from the start, picking us up at the bus stop at 5 a.m. They went to buy us our return bus tickets and dropped us off at the bus stop and took us shopping in the village. Madou has lived in the village since childhood and has worked in the national park since he was a child. He is the second person to open a hotel in the eco village. He firmly believes in his vision: green, environmentally friendly tourism that offers 100% organic cuisine. Now a member of the Bardia Park office, he organizes safaris and walks for his clients accompanied by carefully selected guides, passionate, patient guides who listen to their clients. The prices of the safaris are the lowest in the village. Don't hesitate to compare other Safari tours in other hotels, you will see that the Nature Safari Resort is HALF the price of other resorts that go through agencies. The guides and drivers are all experienced. No lies here, Madou is a transparent entrepreneur who seeks to develop eco-tourism in Bardia and who makes it a point of honor to make us feel at home and enjoy the beauty of the place. Madou takes care of his garden and vegetable patch, from which all the products cooked by his wife come. Anita is an excellent cook! We tasted good Nepalese dishes, without chili because we can't stand it. Breakfasts vary every morning (pancakes, bananas; chapati, omelets...). We even had the right to a Dal Bhat cooking class. It was fantastic! We learned a lot about Nepalese culture and village life. An unforgettable moment in a heavenly environment. We recommend it a thousand times and will come back next year at least in March."

"The best experience into the wilds...We had pleasant and wonderful stay @Samarth Resort..The staffs were so friendly and polite.Food was amazingly delicious!!Tharu dance was unique.We had Whole day Jeep Safari and every second was worth it!! I was there with my family and we saw Wild Elephants, Wild Boar, Deers, Jackal, Langoor, many different Birds and 3 TIGERS.. Our Guide Mr.Keshav Hamal was experienced and did an excellent job..He was so much alert and clear. Thanku Samarth Resort for your hospitality!!!"

"Our short trip to Bardiya was much more than we expected. The stay at Rhino Lodge was wonderful. The ambience and food were great. The hotel staff were super friendly and welcoming. The highlight of the stay was the whole day jungle safari, which was surreal. Our guide was really enthusiastic and patient to show us in and around the jungle. The Tharu cultural dance and food was an amazing experience. I would definitely recommend this place to my family and friends."

"Visited last month with my daughters. Only had two days. Thanks to the efforts of our guide Bhim, we saw a tiger, rhino, and herd of elephants. It was a long, hot day, but he left no stone unturned in trying to make our experience memorable, which it was. The lodge was spectacular, especially when you consider how remote it is. The accommodations were very comfortable and the food was excellent, as was the service and hospitality."
