"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Eetu and would recommend to all of our friends and family. The staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. They upgraded our room to have a view which was wonderful! The room was spacious and perfect for us. The breakfast was included and was very nice! It had everything we needed. "A quirky, beautiful hotel in the middle of Begur. We booked a room with a terrace which had no shade in the afternoon. We asked Maria and Vincent if we could have a sun umbrella but the manager refused to supply one. As we were there for seven days and temperatures were up to 40 degrees we were then unable to use it. We were shown to the downstairs inside breakfast room as an alternative!"

"This hotel is beautiful, quiet and the service is excellent. Every member of staff was kind and approachable. We stayed in one of the suites which had a huge terrace with sun beds, a jacuzzi bath and super king bed. To say the hotel is spotless is an understatement, even the pool toilets were sparkling. The food is fantastic and reasonably priced considering other hotels. We paid 16 euros for some pan con tomato and jamon for lunch and the plate of jamon was several packets worth in the UK. The hotel restaurant is excellent and their lobster paella delicious for 26euros each. Breakfast is continental, the spread was the same every day, however it was all fantastic quality and plentiful. We especially enjoyed the fruit and honeycomb. The swimming pool was exceptionally quiet and had plenty of sun loungers. With the pool being my favourite experience, it was just the right temperature, crystal clear and so large you can swim lengths to your hearts content. We hired a car for the drive up from Barcelona which was about 1hr 45 but primarily highway and a very straightforward drive. If you are looking for an all inclusive with entertainment and cooked breakfasts, this isn’t the hotel for you. But if you want a peaceful, tranquil and gentle stay in a very lovely part of Spain then it’s ideal."

"It looks all good on the website but in reality the camping was really disappointing. No warm welcome, bad service, staff was not able to speak English. The tent, toilet and shower was dirty. No clean towels are provided. The facilities (rooftop, pool bar, organic shop and food truck) in the camping where closed while they should be open according to the website. They claim to be “eco” and sustainable but they make no real impact - no solar panels, no eco friendly water use , the food in the organic shop and restaurant is not all organic. There is airconditioning in the tent which is absolutely not sustainable. If you claim to be an eco resort you need to act like one. This is green washing. "

"This is our third trip to this beautiful hotel and part of Spain, and we will definitely be back. The hotel is so clean and the owner Bernard couldn’t do enough to make your stay wonderful. The breakfasts in the morning are fantastic, made more enjoyable sitting under the Mulberry trees. The pool is so tranquil surrounded by lovely trees and gardens. This year we had dinner three times in a week, the food is very good with a choice of three courses or tapas. All the staff deserve a mention and are so pleasant and helpful. Thank you so much Judit, May, Jose, Alina, Ana and all the housekeeping staff, the rooms are spotless!"

"Wonderful boutique hotel in a period house beautifully and very stylishly modernised to a very high standard. On a quiet street but within central Begur close walking distance to restaurants, bars etc and with wonderful views over the surrounding area. The hotel was spotlessly clean with beautiful furniture and furnishings including an extremely comfortable large double bed and high quality bedding. We collected our key from the neighbouring sister hotel and were looked after by the receptionist Helen who was extremely friendly and helpful taking time to explain about the hotel’s facilities, recommending local restaurants and showing us our room. High quality coffee is available free of charge at all times in the hotel. Excellent shower, air conditioning and toiletry products. Everything worked perfectly and was of a very high quality. Highly recommend this hotel and hope to return again soon. Many thanks to the hotel for such an enjoyable 5 star stay."

"Fantastic hotel in a very remote location in Begur, Costa Brava. The hotel is beautiful and if you are happy with relaxing at your accommodation for your stay, then this is very ideal. The staff however in general are far from ideal. Many have an arrogant persona from the start and often give off the impression they are doing you a favour by simply doing their job. The rooms are beautiful with great scenic views but lack the basic amenities that basic hotels would offer. Overall a beautiful hotel, just let down by a mixture of inept and incompetent staff."

"The hotel room was on the ground floor with a window facing the street, but very little light came in. There was a chair, a toilet with a sink, and plastic shower curtains. Only two bath towels were provided, and no hand towels. The room was tiny, and we could hear other people coming and going from the hotel, making a lot of noise. The house was very old with high ceilings, and the lamp in the room was barely visible. We sent our information by phone, and they gave us the access codes. We didn't see anyone from the hotel at any point. The whole experience was very depressing and overpriced. The only positive aspect was its proximity to the town center."

"We have stayed at Hotel Sa Punta on several occasions and really enjoy the sea views that capture the Ilses Medes. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable, although the decor may be regarded as a little old fashioned. Dinner in the restaurant is very good and the continental breakfast is pleasant. The hotel is located about 10 minutes walk away from Platja del Raco and a few local restaurants - although we bring our car so that we also have the option to explore further afield. This year there had been a change of ownership and the establishment was in a state of transition - we still enjoyed our stay and the staff remain friendly and helpful."
