I booked my flight and hotel just a week before my trip, in a frantic rush. During peak season, there were hardly any international five-star hotels left to choose from, and continuous stays were impossible. That's how I ended up booking Centara Karon, and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise! The hotel's location is excellent – convenient (right outside the market) yet quiet (even light sleepers can get a good night's rest). The staff are all very nice, and the extra bed for my child made our week-long stay very comfortable. The main clientele of the hotel, and frankly, of Karon Beach in general, seems to be Russians.

We really enjoyed our stay at Waterfront Suites Phuket by Centara. The apartment was spacious, clean, bright, and very comfortable, with a beautiful sea view, large windows, and a balcony that made the stay even more special.

It was an excellent option for a family vacation because there was so much space — comfortable bedrooms, a big living area, and a dining space where we could relax together. The apartment had everything we needed for a pleasant and comfortable stay, and it truly felt cozy and welcoming.

The location was also a big plus, with the beach nearby and a very relaxing atmosphere around the property. Overall, we had a very positive experience and created wonderful memories here.

Pros: Excellent location, close to the beach, nice hotel environment, with children's entertainment facilities, and a rich breakfast.

Cons: The hardware facilities are a bit old, the lobby is quite low-end and very hot. There were no welcome drinks or towels upon check-in, instead, they had a Starbucks where you had to buy your own. For a family-friendly hotel, it's not very accommodating to children; we were charged an additional 4200 Thai Baht for 4 nights for a child not occupying a bed (whereas many other hotels in Phuket offer free stays for children). Furthermore, the hotel doesn't offer Chinese-speaking service. The check-in time is late and check-out time is early (3 PM check-in, 11 AM check-out), which goes against international norms.

Offered daily. This hotel is really family orientated to give the best experience for the entire family. The breakfast was very good and for the kids a special table was set with everything they like in plates and cups themed for boys and girls. Special buffet nights are offered with local dances to entertain. The location is perfect, very close to restaurants, the beach and massages. We will definitely return.

Extremely satisfied! When I booked, I mentioned it was for our wedding anniversary and requested a sea-view villa with a good view. During check-in, the chubby guy at the front desk was super thoughtful and gave us room 403, which he called the 'best sea view'. We could see an unobstructed ocean view right from the bed – absolutely stunning! The room wasn't huge but perfectly adequate for two, and they even folded towel swans and provided a welcome fruit platter 👍. 

Breakfast at the hotel's Cliff Restaurant had a wonderful ambiance and setting; enjoying breakfast with a sea view was incredibly relaxing. 

Both the large and small pools were beautifully arranged on different levels, surrounded by lush greenery, making for a pleasant sight. 

Since the hotel is located on a hillside, there's a bit of a distance between the rooms, lobby, and restaurant. However, it's quite convenient as you can download the hotel's app to call for an internal tuk-tuk anytime for pickup and drop-off. 

There's a pathway from the hotel down to Karon Beach, but we decided against going because of the sun and opted to just relax in our villa instead.

The only downside is that because it's on a hillside, there are no restaurants or shops nearby, so you need to take a taxi to go out. Karon Avenue isn't far though, just a few minutes drive downhill. From a 'lie flat and relax' vacation perspective, I personally highly recommend this place.

Everything else was fine, but the front desk staff clearly discriminated against Chinese people. We booked a private pool villa, and on the first day we complained three times that the pool water was too dirty, full of dead insects and leaves, and stagnant, asking them to arrange for staff to clean it up. Were they deaf? They verbally promised three times, but no one came?

We booked a 'Family Premier Room' for two adults and two children, and even noted the children's ages. However, upon check-in, we found toiletries and slippers only for two adults. We immediately contacted customer service to request items for the two children, only to be told that the hotel doesn't provide children's toiletries and that only adult-sized slippers were available. Even on the second day, housekeeping seemed unaware of the number of guests, leaving amenities for only two people after cleaning. We eventually had to call the front desk to ensure they updated the room's occupancy. Furthermore, when booking, I requested a non-smoking room. We arrived at the hotel after 2 PM on the check-in day, but our room wasn't ready due to cleaning, causing a significant delay. The front desk staff, however, were very pleasant and even gave us some discount vouchers for children's water play items at the pool area. There was a persistent, unidentifiable odor in the room, possibly a musty smell due to insufficient ventilation, which was quite different from what I expected from a non-smoking room. The hotel's breakfast buffet was quite extensive, and the staff were all very polite. The hotel also has an internal walkway directly to the 7th floor of Central World shopping mall, which is very convenient. To get to Siam Paragon, you can go down to the ground floor lobby, exit the hotel, and it's a direct walk of about 4-5 minutes, very close. This was a major reason we chose this hotel. I rarely leave reviews, but the issues I've mentioned above were genuinely disappointing.

Location of the hotel is great and walking distance to big c and central world. Lots of massage shops along the walkway. Front desk is very helpful and friendly. Check in is very efficient. They gave us souvenirs on the last day of our stay which is very thoughtful. Room is very spacious and clean . Would definitely stay in this hotel again .

we had quite a short stay here but absolutely loved it. they had the ABSOLUTE BEST breakfast in the whole hotel breakfasts world - both european and asian types were full of choices and i genuinely couldnt decide where to start. the entire hotel left me speechles with the decor it was really beautiful. the gym had such a nice view of the pool and the surrounding garden. it is also very close to the public transport, shopping malls and night markets. if you consider staying here, definitely yes - you will remember it for a very long time.

Reserved rooms at the hotel for a business trip as it was near my conference venue. It's is clean and well maintained. The staff are also very responsive to questions. Amenities wise the hotel offers a restaurant that offers breakfast all the way to dinner, a small gym, a pool. Unfortunately the complimentary electric Tuk Tuks can only be used if the reservation of rooms was made directly with the hotel.

Convenient for visa extension as directly connected to Government complex (Immigration) under one roof.  Front desk, housekeeping efficient and friendly.  Parking guard Gf was the opposite.  Told us to turn inside the building though we have informed him we booked into the hotel and made us going around for the first 2 floors only to find out all parking lots have been permanently blocked off.  Upon our distressed   final approach, we were told to go to 4f where bridged directly to the hotel building.  Otherwise, could have been a comfortable stay.

The hotel isn't very close to the beach, but there's a free hourly hotel shuttle running until 8pm. The swimming pool is great with 2 cool areas for kids to play. There's a sandbox and  an indoor play area. Rooms are big enough and come with a nice balcony, with a table and 2 chairs. Bathroom could be a little cleaner. The area around the hotel looks like a wasteland, but fortunately can reach a 7/11 and 2 other supermarkets within a 10-minute walk.

Our stay was truly wonderful, marked by comfortable beds and spacious, well-appointed rooms that perfectly suited my family’s needs. We especially appreciated the attentive service and thoughtful amenities provided throughout our visit. A special thank you to Shan, whose warm hospitality and prompt assistance made our experience even more enjoyable and comfortable.

GREAT stay again @ my preffered hotel at Pattaya. 
Closed by Central Pattaya, Soi 6 , Beach-Road, Soi Bhuakao, even Walking Street within 20min walking distance. ENJOY it & PATTAYA 🤗
