"Very new property, everything is clean and well supplied. They have a great coffee set-up.The staff is young and eager to please, they were the high point of my two-night stay. The location can be a bit of an issue. The property sits on a hillside above the main center of the town. Cars have trouble navigating the narrow, one-car-at-a-time streets. And sitting at 2000 meters altitude, you'll be stopping to catch your breath more than once. Grab the hotel's card and use taxis to do your sightseeing. Good value and would recommend."

"The hotel enjoys a prime location in Kangding's core business district, facing Paomashan Mountain and overlooking the Zheduo River and Liuliucheng. On clear days, you can enjoy mountain views from both sides of the room. I highly recommend the window in the breakfast hallway on the fourth floor, which overlooks the golden roof of Anjue Temple. The Qingke ******* Restaurant and Bar, like Li Xian, is just across the street. The hotel facilities are relatively new, though the tap water is yellowish when it first comes out, but everything else is good. The front desk lady, Xiao Du, was warm and attentive, recommending nearby restaurants. We had Tian Liangfen, which was delicious, with a nice spicy chili pepper. We arrived too late to try the Kangjie Steamed Dumplings restaurant, a time-honored restaurant. We also checked out the restaurant and bar, like Li Xian, and the yak beef quilt was delicious [grin]. The seasoning of the beef cubes wasn't particularly impressive, and the desserts were just tasteful. The stir-fried vegetables were good, and the location was great for people-watching."

"We drove by ourselves and parked our car on the roadside above the hotel. We had to walk a staircase to get to the B&B. If you have a big suitcase, you have to walk slowly.
The boss lady quickly arranged the room. The room was upstairs from the reception. The boss lady also asked the helper in the store to put our luggage outside the door. She was very considerate.
The water for washing that night was hot🥵🥵. When we walked to the reception, all the employees had gone off work and we couldn’t get in touch by phone😑😑. When we asked the boss lady the next morning, we were told that the water supply was suspended after 00:00 that night😔😔 (It would be better if the lady boss reminded us of this when we checked in)
Before leaving the B&B, the lady boss arranged for an aunt to carry our suitcases to the parking spot. I really didn’t expect the power of this aunt

"The layout of the B&B is very good, the bathroom supplies are of high quality, and the ******* food recommended patiently by the B&B owner is really good. The location is also very good, and you can watch the rushing water of the Zheduo River while eating.
Kangding is not a big city, so it is actually very quick to get from the downtown area to the B&B. The B&B is also next to the Vajra Temple and another ******* temple. If you have time, you can go there.
Breakfast at the B&B was delivered to the room, and washed fruits were also given upon check-in. The next day, I slept until I woke up naturally, had breakfast, waited for lunch, and returned directly to Chengdu after eating.
The B&B is really not friendly to driving. The slope is very steep and the entrance to the parking lot is very narrow, which tests your driving skills."

"Service: After booking the room, a dedicated butler contacted us with the detailed address and directions, and guided us to the hotel via the Baitukan Tunnel. The hotel also has a dedicated parking lot. The hotel offers laundry service, which is very convenient. The owner was very patient and helpful when we asked about nearby restaurants and attractions. The hotel's fruit platter and breakfast were also very generous.
Environment: As soon as I entered the room and opened the curtains, I was completely captivated by the stunning mountain view. It's about a ten-minute walk to the center of Kangding County, and I saw a plethora of beautiful roses along the way.
Cleanliness: The room was very clean and tidy, and the bathroom had double sinks and a heated towel rack, which was a nice touch.
Facilities: The hotel's restaurant offers a great view, and dining there was a delightful experience. The fourth-floor balcony was also very comfortable, and downstairs there were also billiards, mahjong machines, and other entertainment facilities.
P.S. I'm not a shill, just a happy newbie who finally made it to my western Sichuan trip. Thank you Kangding and this fantastic hotel for making it a perfect start to my trip."

"The hotel is not in the urban area of Kangding, but it is very close. There is a residential area opposite, and there are many vehicles passing by the road at the door. You can only reach the room floor by swiping the room card, which is quite good. The overall style is Ibis style. There is welcome hot tea at the door. The room is not big, but the infrastructure is complete.
One suggestion is that the breakfast is a bit cold. It can be guaranteed that the food is at least warm before the meal, because the temperature outside is low. I want to have a hot and comfortable breakfast, but the staple food is cold. Fortunately, the porridge is hot. "This time, I took my family on a short trip along the western Sichuan loop and stayed at the Vienna Hotel. The hotel had a great location, just a ten-minute walk from Liuliu Town. After dinner, we could stroll around Liuliu Town and walk back to the hotel along the Zheduo River, which was both a good way to digest and enjoy the beautiful night views of both banks. The hotel breakfast was decent, but the millet porridge was delicious. The rooms were fully equipped with smart technology, which was easy to control. The underfloor heating was excellent; I thought it would be cold at night, but I woke up feeling warm. The bathroom and shower were separate, so washing and using the toilet didn't disturb each other. The hot water came out quickly and had a strong flow, making showering very refreshing. The lobby reception even had complimentary brewed Rhodiola rosea, and the hotel also had a self-service laundry service with a dryer, which was great for keeping clean clothes fresh the next day. There was a small free parking lot behind the hotel, but the parking attendant was very skilled and parked our car perfectly. The two ladies at the front desk were very welcoming and helpful. Overall, a fantastic stay!"

I met the boss before checking out today and went home. It was very good. It snowed in Kangding last night. It was so cold that he helped me remove ice and snow from my car. I chatted with the boss for a long time and learned a lot of interesting things. It was very worthwhile. When I returned from the mountain yesterday, my child had a little altitude sickness. He gave us Coke and didn't want to go out. The homestay can also order dishes for dinner. I was afraid that we would not be full. The portion was very large and the taste was great. In a word, it was really very good. I recommend everyone to stay at their home. In the future, I will definitely stay at their home in Kangding when I travel to western Sichuan.

GGuest UserWe had an excellent stay here. The host and staff are super kind and caring. My partner was suffering from the altitude when we arrived and they immediately set us up with an oxygen concentrator. He felt better almost immediately. We are thankful they had one! They kept checking in on our health throughout our entire stay.
We had a beautiful big room on the fourth floor with views of Mt. Yala and life around the river. Loved the in floor heating. Even if you don't get a room on the 4th floor, there is a sitting area up with the view. The hotel is close to the main street, 10 minute walk to Tagong Monastery, 20 minute walk to the study monastery and 5 minute walk to the trail which leads up over the grasslands to Ani Gompa and Muya Dasi.
We can't thank the host and staff enough - they made a delicious hotpot on our first night, looked after us everyday and found us a ride onto Danba. They and we managed the English translation apps enough that we could work through the language barrier.

PPockyBackpackThis hotel is located off the main road, requiring a short drive on a dirt path up a hill. On clear days, you can enjoy a stunning view of the snow-capped mountains. All the staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. Since I was traveling alone, the hotel thoughtfully adjusted the hotpot portion to suit one person — which I really appreciated — and it was absolutely delicious.
Every room offers a view of the snowy mountains. The in-room amenities are of high quality, the room is cozy and comfortably warm, and the size is just right — not too big or small. My favorite part, though, was the hotel’s common area, especially during sunset when the snow mountains turn red. The staff even invited me to step outside and take photos, which was so sweet of them.
The next morning, I had to leave early, but breakfast normally starts late. Still, the staff kindly prepared an early breakfast just for me. Overall, the service mindset here is truly impressive, and the hotel’s common area is stunning — a paradise for photography lovers, with countless beautiful spots for pictures.

882hunsamaThe room was genuinely spacious, and the double bed was impressively large – a great choice for those who appreciate ample space. The mattress comfort was only average, and the pillows were a bit of a letdown, being overly soft and fluffy and offering little to no neck support.
Hotel service was excellent. Both the front desk staff and the housekeeping team were incredibly warm and accommodating. Extra requests, like additional toothbrushes or blankets, were promptly delivered. The housekeeping staff even helped put on the duvet cover for the extra blanket, a thoughtful gesture as some hotels expect guests to do this themselves.
The room offered a nice mountain view from the window. However, small bugs were quite prevalent, which I found a bit unsettling. The stick-on window screen had started to peel off, leaving gaps and allowing insects in.
The bathroom was also very spacious and featured a smart toilet. However, the hot water pressure in the shower was quite low, which wasn't very refreshing. A full set of disposable toiletries was provided.
Breakfast, served until 9:30 AM, offered a decent variety, including bread, porridge, milk, fruit, and a mix of steamed and fried options. However, freshly cooked noodles or vermicelli were not available. The dining area wasn't very large, so it's best to avoid peak hours.
Free and ample parking was available.

When Zandanlin Snow Mountain hit the eye, the clouds and mists were lingering, and a small Tibetan-style building stood quietly in the center of the grassland. Zandanlin Ranch Hotel was like a secret in a fairy tale, and like the final destination of the homeless.
The moment the wooden door was opened, the aroma of butter tea wrapped in sunlight and crashed into the arms, even breathing with the sweetness of grass.

Each room is a ”Snow Mountain View Art Museum”, and the window is a 360° grassland picture without dead ends:
• When the morning mist is not scattered, the snow-capped mountains are like white jade dipped in milk
• In the afternoon sun, the meadow becomes a flowing golden sea
• In the evening, the whole pasture was plated with rose gold, the yak returned to the circle, and the groundhogs began their ”tea break”

The underfloor heating was incredibly warm – I didn't feel cold at all! The guesthouse hostess was incredibly warm and friendly. I'm usually a bit introverted, but her proactive greeting made me feel completely at ease. For breakfast, she served homemade porridge, eggs, steamed buns, and twisted rolls. The steamed sweet potatoes were exceptionally soft, tender, and sweet – so delicious I almost asked her where she bought them! Next time I'm in Kangding, I'll definitely stay here again!

GGuest UserI booked the ”river view” room on the 13th floor and obviously, I stuck gold after cranking my head from my room window, looking down to the raging water roaring through the river in the center of the city street. When I said ”raging” water, I meant cascading flows that echo through the entire city block. I had seen such terrain in Switzerland before but this is more impressive.
So ”location” is the biggest merit and I would recommend never sparing the money in exchange for the river=side room. Plus, the hotel is looking against the famous ”Love Song” Plaza of KarnDin City. For those who wonder what the big deal is about the ”KangDin Love Song”. For starters, it is a part of the Chinese growing-up song that is deeply entrenched in education, for even a person raised in Taiwan, let alone ethnical Chinese in the Mailand. It is more like a pilgrimage than touring that brought many to the city.
The smaller plaza right in front of the hotel lobby begins to gather impromptu dances at about 8 pm (Beijing time, local time ~ 6 p.m.). I admire the local Tibetans of all ages whose spontaneity sways with the music. The hotel doorman told me that yes, there were Han tourists also in the troupe, but you could usually tell them apart because they were the awkward-looking ones.
I have no complaints about the service, and I appreciate the enthusiasm the front desk people show when I try to gather information.
One more thing before I leave: if you are tired of the summer heat, Kangdin is the city you want to come! In late June, the daily high is 12 C!
The travel to the city has made extremely convenient by the recent completed Highway 42--an incredible feat of tunnel engineering in the world.
