Hot water came out quickly and in sufficient quantity, so I didn't shiver after showering. The mattress was just the right firmness. The room had a humidifier and an oxygen tank (so I felt reassured even if I didn't use them). The window offered a mountain view, and I could see the snowscape and sunrise in the morning – perfect for taking photos after a snowfall. The location is not far from the 318 highway, and there's parking in the courtyard. When the roads are icy, the owner reminds me to bring snow chains and helps watch for parking spaces. The owner proactively explained the surrounding road conditions and photo spots, even pointing out a shady spot for me to avoid crowds. The next morning, they packed me hot steamed buns and eggs so I wouldn't go hungry on the road. Breakfast was simple but warm, with porridge and side dishes. The room details were also well done: plenty of power outlets, stable internet speed, better soundproofing than I expected, and effective blackout curtains. Overall, it's a great place for people coming to Xinduqiao to see the snow and photograph the sunrise. The owner was honest and easy to communicate with; the directions and timelines he provided were very accurate. A few tips: If you're prone to altitude sickness, slow down your pace and drink plenty of water on the first night; if you're coming in winter, bring your own lip balm and non-slip shoes, as the roads can be icy in the early morning. I'll definitely come back next autumn for the colorful forest season."

"This hotel/camp is located on a hillside in Xinduqiao Town. It's quite unique, and the owner is very friendly and approachable. The rooms have underfloor heating and oxygen supply, and the bathroom facilities are excellent across the board. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit. "Staff was friendly, room was spacious and clean. Breakfast had limited choices, nevertheless I enjoyed it. The hotel has hot springs. They are natural, however heated, not natural temperature. I think I overpaid (180rmb) for a driver to take me to Mugecuo, which is only about 12 km. My 4 hour car ride back to Chengdu was only 150 rmb. The hotel is about 7km from the downtown kangding area. Overall, I enjoyed it peaceful, quiet place. It’s a bit remote, ideal for people who want to get away from people and crowds."
