"Be aware you have to pre book sunbeds beds which is impossible ! We booked for 4 nights and had be on a waiting list so we moved hotels ! We just wanted a chilled weekend by the pool . We moved to the Aethos which was fabulous, no pre booking just first come basis and no putting things on sunbeds and not using it . If you do then you loose it"

"We stayed at the Caramelo for four nights in August and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. By complete coincidence, our stay fell around the solar eclipse, and we had absolutely no idea when we booked that Majorca was going to be such an incredible place to see it! From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. Sam on reception was fantastic – incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He told us we had a gorgeous room with a wraparound balcony and gave us all the information we needed about the hotel and surrounding area. When we got to our room, we were so pleasantly surprised. It was spotlessly clean, really well equipped and the wraparound balcony was amazing, with beautiful views from two sides. Little did we know at the time just how lucky we were to have that particular room – it ended up giving us the perfect view of the solar eclipse right from our own balcony! It made an already special holiday even more memorable. The pool is genuinely one of the best hotel pools I’ve ever been in. The whole hotel has such a lovely, relaxed atmosphere, everywhere is kept beautifully clean, the food was great and every member of staff we encountered was friendly and welcoming. We also have to give a special mention to Joey on reception, who was absolutely fabulous. She was always there with a smile and couldn’t have been more helpful, particularly when helping us arrange taxis and anything else we needed. Although we dealt more personally with Sam and Joey, every single member of staff deserves a mention – from the bar staff to the restaurant team and everyone working behind the scenes. You really do have a fantastic team and they are a credit to the Caramelo. We enjoyed our stay so much that we actually rebooked to come back in October before we’d even left! We asked reception if there was any chance we could have the same room again, and amazingly they managed to arrange that for us too, which was the icing on the cake. Thank you to Sam, Joey and the entire Caramelo team for making our stay so special. We arrived as first-time guests and left already counting down the weeks until we return. See you all again in October! ❤️"

"Honestly, it was just okay. For ¥3500, you could find much better options. Check-in was entirely electronic, which was a hassle. There's no front desk at all, and it took me about 30 minutes to get checked in. Plus, the shower and the bed aren't separated, so you can see right into the shower from the bed, which I personally found very awkward."

"Let’s be honest and call it what it is: this is a lifestyle hotel, not close to a five-star property. The rooms are spacious and nicely renovated, but beyond that, the experience falls well short. The biggest issue was the complete lack of consistency and attention to detail. We experienced a missed airport pickup, followed by another delayed transfer. Housekeeping was skipped on some days, and complimentary amenities and the minibar were not replenished without asking. The restaurant was equally frustrating—one moment it was fully booked, then it wasn’t, then it was only available at certain times. In the end, we were seated in a restaurant that was only half full. Pool reservations were poorly managed and unnecessarily chaotic. Perhaps most disappointing was the lack of a proper concierge. A five-star hotel should have knowledgeable staff who can assist effortlessly with reservations, recommendations, and guest requests. That level of service was simply absent. None of these issues alone would define a stay, but together they created an unnecessarily stressful experience. With better organisation, consistency, and genuine attention to guests, this property could be much better. As it stands, I would describe it as a good lifestyle hotel rather than a five-star experience."

"We've just returned from another fab stay here. Love this hotel. The sea view is amazing and the pool and surrounding areas large and clean. It as busy but we never struggled to find loungers or seats. We tried half board this time and it was worth it. The food was beautiful a great mixture of things to try. Only issue we had the whole week was the lifts. One was out of order a number of times and the other had a mnd of its own. Being on the 7th floor this was a nightmare. Would also love a 2 bedroom option for future stays"

"A family of four booked two rooms on the first floor facing the street. It was quite noisy at night. After one night, we discovered the balcony door was broken and wouldn't lock. We were out all day, so luckily, nothing was lost. Pros: Convenient location, right on the beach, plenty of delicious restaurants nearby, and a lively evening stroll. Breakfast was plentiful. Cons: Poor amenities. The Wi-Fi didn't work for three days. The room smelled. At least one of our rooms wasn't cleaned. The hotel has no front desk, and the housekeeping service was mediocre. We hope to see improvements in service and amenities."
