An amazing private setting and cute cabin 2 bed , 2 baths with big lake views on 13 private acres, yet it’s 1 mile to Superior and close to several big resorts and Lutsen ski area is one mile .Added a new gas fireplace inside and also has a great fire pit outside. Hooked up the WiFi to go with the satellite TV. Great for small families as it is close to lots of fun things to do at the ski area and near golf course too.This cabin, (Superior views ) is very comfortable for smaller groups. It features one large bedroom, a 2ND bedroom Split from Master with a Queen bed and single bed. It has two bathrooms, one big full bathroom and a 2nd half bath , a full-size kitchen and living area plus an attached garage. There is also a screen porch and a deck, both with big views of Lake Superior. The main bedroom also with lake views .The cabin ideally accommodates a family of up to 5 people.* This property backs up to the Minnesota State Scientific and Natural area and hundreds of acres of private land. It is very close to the ski area, golf course and many great restaurants.The screen porch is a wonderful place to listen to the animal sounds (but not be in a tent). Hiking trails, mountain biking paths, berry picking areas, access to lakes and rivers are all nearby and much more - the owner will be happy to help you figure out what fun things you might want to do. The stars are absolutely incredible here! In the quiet of the night, you can even hear the falls....serenity and peace! We pulled out all of the stops in order to provide you with the best stay, such as a private panoramic barrel sauna, heated floors, a high-output outdoor gas firebowl amidst a beautiful patio space, free level 2 EV charging and so much more. Kalliot comfortably suits two with a capacity of up to four (1 king and 1 queen bed). It has a smaller, cozy layout.The main floor hosts a King sized bed up front and a queen sized bed in the stargazing loft with two 4x4 skylights to view the starry night or the Aurora Borealis if you're lucky! The north shore is one of the few designated "dark sky areas" in the united states for excellent stargazing opportunities. A fully stocked kitchen with a dishwasher is located on the main floor along with a dining table and living space. The 3-sided glass fireplace can be turned on while watching a movie for a cozy night in.The cabin is situated on part of a cliff along Lake Superior, so use caution if leaving the patio area. 8 Mins to Lutsen Ski Resort and Superior National Golf Course! Popular hiking trails nearby on Levaux and Oberg mountains. Unfortunately due to the property's position on a cliff, lakeshore access is not available.The property has two cabins on it, so there will be neighbors nearby. However, a privacy fence has been put in place near the patio, and windows strategically placed so privacy can be maintained.As with most new construction on Lake Superior new lawns are prohibited. Please be patient with our landscape as we wait for natural vegetation to grow back in. **The MN Dept. of Health has not qualified the upper queen sized loft as a sleeping area due to sleeping room square footage requirements, so its only permitted use is a day-bed, while sleeping is not permitted. An air mattress is provided under the couch for an additional sleeping bed.**WINTER TRAVEL DISCLAIMER**4WD is a requirement on the North Shore during the snowy months. There are so many roads and driveways to plow up here in the Great White North and not many plow trucks, so please come prepared and be patient. We are located right on Hwy 61, but there is a steeper section of driveway (which is common to most properties on the lake up here) that can be a bit slick to navigate in the winter for smaller vehicles. Fairway Pines Lodge is a 2,000 square foot log cabin located on the 5th fairway of Superior National Golf Course and is less than a 5 minute drive to the Lutsen Mountains gondola and ski area. It is also a 5 minute walk to North Shore Winery. The cabin has been designed to be a relaxing getaway and for enjoying the North Shore and is close to many activities on the North Shore.Key Updates:- In March 2025, we installed a mini-split air conditioner and heat pump (see pictures).- We replaced the deck in October, 2025 (see pictures). We'll have full updated pictures coming in 2026.The cabin has three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms with sleeping availability for 10. Key amenities include: - High speed (200 mb) internet- Use of the garage, which is especially nice in winter months- Secure ski locker for storing skis, snowshoes, etc. We have eight sets of snowshoes available for guest use (2 of 8 are kids size)- Newer mattresses (as of April 2022)- Newer higher end West Elm pull-out couch with gel foam mattress (as of April 2022)- Great room has a 55" flatscreen with soundbar- Gas Fireplace- Outdoor Firepit- In-Floor radiant heat - New appliances (since 2023): washer, dryer, dishwasher, and microwave. Just past the great room is a four season porch, which has its own heating source and can stay warm in the winter months. The four season porch also includes a new pull-out couch with a queen size gel foam mattress.There is a large deck with four new Adirondack chairs as well as a dining table and chairs providing a relaxing space for guests to unwind after a day exploring the North Shore. Here you will also find a gas grill. Just past the deck is a firepit for the group to enjoy. Bedrooms include the following:Master bedroom on the main floor. It has a king bed and en suite bathroom, which includes a jetted soaking tub.Two bedrooms on the second floor and each have queen beds.
