(License #6058) Make your stay one for the books at our luxury cabin retreat! This recently remodeled 615 sq ft cabin is centrally located, with the start of the downtown strip located directly behind the house, the river and a children’s park right across the street, and beautiful views all around you. A quick five minute drive in either direction will land you right at the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park or the historic Stanley Hotel! If you're looking for a quaint and cozy space to wind down after a day of hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park or shopping in Estes Park, Veronica's Riverside is the perfect mountain retreat! My wife, Veronica, and I bought this house in late 2022, with the intention of fixing it up to be a space that we and our three boys could spend quality time in when visiting Estes Park. We feel very lucky to live so close by (just down the mountain in Windsor), but nothing beats staying up in the mountains when life allows it. We are so excited to be able to share our little mountain retreat with you!The cabin is a 615 sq ft, two bedroom house with a back yard that backs up to one of the main roads in the downtown Estes Park area. There are multiple access points to the main Estes strip from the cabin, all within a five minute walk. We will have information available in the cabin to give you some ideas of things to do in the area, many within walking distance! Some examples are the Estes Park Aerial Tram at the end of the street, Fun City Amusement Park right around the corner, the historic Stanley Hotel right up the street (beautiful views of the hotel from the front porch!), and much more. The cabin is built with many amenities to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible! The main living area has two loveseats and a coffee table across from a cozy indoor electric fireplace to set the vibe in the warmer months and help heat up the space in the cooler months if needed. Above the fireplace is a 50" Roku 4K TV on a swivel mount. There is also a wrap-around breakfast bar in the living room coming from the kitchen with two bar stools - perfect for a quick bite! The main bedroom is toward the back of the house, right next to the bathroom. This bedroom features a cozy queen size bed, a beautiful custom made walnut dresser and full size closet, so you can unpack and make the space your own during your stay, a 43" Roku 4K TV, and lots of dimmable lighting options! The second bedroom can be used as a bedroom or a sitting/dining room, depending on your needs. The wrap around windows in this room and corresponding built-in bench below make it the perfect space to relax and enjoy your morning coffee with the sounds of the river across the street, or enjoy a game night around the table. Make sure to check the storage drawers in the bench for games and puzzles! There is a twin daybed in the room that can be used as a cozy place to hang out or an individual twin bed. Pull the pop up trundle bed out from below, and it can transform into two twin beds! You can also push the two twins together to create a single queen size bed. And you just can't beat the dimmable lantern lights flanking the daybed to create the cozy cabin atmosphere we love so much! There is one bathroom on the property, and it is probably our favorite room in the house! The huge glass-enclosed shower is stunning, with floor to ceiling emerald green tiles on the walls and pebble-style flooring. There is a tankless, instant water heater on the property, so no need to try and stagger showers with the rest of the family or worry about the water running cold after a few minutes! There is a regular shower head on the wall, a hand shower, and (our favorite) a rain shower head in the ceiling. The shower heads are on different temperature valves and will each stay set to your ideal temp for next time. Although we could go on and on about the shower itself, the rest of the bathroom is equally as wonderful, with a heated stone floor, brand new toilet, custom vanity, and a beautiful, stone vessel sink. The kitchen (along with everything else in the cabin) is fully custom-built by myself, my wife, and my company, DPC Painting and Cabinetry, with the help of my assistant and interior designer on the project, Madison Schneider. It features beautiful, solid hickory cabinets, brand new full size appliances (electric stove/oven, side by side fridge/freezer, and dishwasher), a large single basin sink with a garbage disposal, and quartzite countertops. We provide all your basic cooking and dining supplies, so a quick trip to the grocery store is all you need to get cooking in the cabin! If you're a coffee or tea drinker, we've got you covered! The beautiful coffee bar features a Keurig coffee maker with options for single pods or a full pot, an electric water kettle, a Ninja blender, and a microwave up above. In addition to your standard coffee making supplies, we also provide a pour over coffee maker and a French press, in case you're more of a slow morning and high quality brew type of traveler. Or if you're like us and just can't resist a good iced latte, less than a ten minute walk down the road and along the beautiful Estes Riverwalk is one of our favorite coffee shops in town - Kind Coffee!Off the kitchen and leading into the back yard is a full size and brand new, stacked washer and dryer for your convenience. We do ask that our guests please be mindful of overfilling the washer or using large amounts of soap. Aside from that, it's all yours! With the cabin being pretty compact on its own, we wanted the outdoor spaces to feel like a true extension of the home. In the front, we have a few chairs and a small table set up for you to enjoy the beautiful views and the sounds of the river across the street with your morning coffee! There is also a ceiling fan/light on the porch and a powerful ceiling-mounted heater for colder nights - both are controlled by remotes. The back yard is fully enclosed and features a deck with a seating area and slatted privacy wall for added privacy from the neighboring property, a hammock, propane grill, and movie projector. With the property being in town, we just ask that our guests be mindful of noise levels and are courteous of neighboring homes and businesses when using the projector late at night. Guests can enjoy a movie night under the stars or gather for a cookout with the game on the big screen! Make sure to check out the herb garden as well over the summer and feel free to take whatever you need to add a fresh twist to dinner!Estes Park is such a special place! We hope that you will be sure to take time to look around you and be present during your stay at the cabin. A walk up or down the street in either direction will take you right to different attractions and different, but equally scenic and beautiful, views. Around the cabin, you can check out many historic pictures and post cards of Estes Park from long ago. Spend a slow morning flipping through some of the tabletop books or putting together a puzzle, while listening to a vinyl on the record player! We wanted this cabin to feel like the perfect place for our family to relax and take a step out of reality in the mountains, and we hope that it will feel the same for you. Please feel free to reach out with any questions about the property or the surrounding area!About pets:No pets allowed.About checkOut:Check out before 11:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About checkIn:Check in after 3:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 18.About events:No events allowed.

We are excited to welcome you to Estes Park, our little piece of paradise. We hope to provide you with an exceptional vacation experience. This unique rental has two separate cabins on one property, each with one bedroom, one bath, and living area. The larger "Smiling Elk" has a full modern kitchen with a wonderful gas stove, full bath, queen bed, sleeper sofa, washer/dryer, and a wood-burning fireplace. Free high-speed broadband internet. Use your own streaming apps. We provide all linens, towels, a stocked kitchen, and toiletries. The kitchen includes coffee, tea, paper goods, and all the dishes and cooking equipment you may need. There is also a crock pot so you can have dinner ready and waiting when you return from the day's activities. The photo of this cabin can be deceiving. The door on the left is the bedroom, and the door on the right is the living room. The bedroom is accessed from inside, and the exterior door is rarely used. In the past, this cabin may have been two units. During the warm months, we install a window air conditioner in the living room, and there is always a ceiling fan in the bedroom. The smaller and adorable "Little Bear" has a partial kitchen (sink, microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker), 3/4 bath with tiled shower, two twin beds, and a sleeper sofa. This cabin also has a flat-screen TV and free high-speed broadband internet. This property is ideal for couples, friends, or small families. It is situated near the west side of town, with easy access to Rocky Mountain National Park, yet only three miles from downtown. Several restaurants, coffee shops, miniature golf, and groceries are within walking distance. A free shuttle to downtown stops nearby every hour, so you could leave the driving to others and just enjoy the ride. Enjoy a backyard BBQ on the gas grill, or visit nearby local's favorite Smokin' Dave's BBQ. Coffee on the Rocks is open early if you prefer to have your coffee prepared for you. All of these are just down the street and around the corner. Country Market has groceries, gas, and great ice cream. The well-known Bird & Jim restaurant is a short drive or walk, accessible without navigating the downtown traffic. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the Estes Park area and Rocky Mountain National Park, including local favorites, day hike suggestions, etc. Just give us a call before or during your stay. We want your vacation to be full of good memories, and will do what we can do to make that happen. Please plan to bring your own reusable water bottles. Estes Park has award-winning water, and we hope you'll enjoy it's freshness. In an effort to be environmentally friendly, we discourage you from purchasing water in single-use plastic bottles. If these cabins aren't available the dates you desire, please check out our other property that's right downtown - VRBO # 471009 - Riverwalk Loft Condos. We look forward to being your hosts in Estes Park!About pets:No pets allowed. No pets allowed to accomodate guests are allergic..About checkOut:Check out before 10:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.With supervision..About checkIn:Check in after 3:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted. No shoking of any kind..About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 21.About events:No events allowed.

Classic Estes Park cabin in historic wooded neighborhood next to Rocky Mountain National Park (20-NCD0362). Built in 1921 and restored in 2019, this cabin is situated to view Longs Peak and Twin Sisters Peak. It backs up to a meadow where deer and elk frequently browse during all seasons. Quintessential Estes Park architectural elements, such as a moss rock fireplace and antler door handles, are found throughout the cabin. A few minutes from the National Park entrance as well as downtown Estes Park.THE SPACEThis well-reviewed, super-clean, beautiful and cozy cabin is nestled in the trees within a historic neighborhood of early twentieth century Colorado cabins. It offers tranquility and majestic views of one of the most beautiful sections of the Rocky Mountains. The cabin is a perfect place to stay if you are interested in viewing wildlife, fishing, hiking, snowshoeing, backcountry skiing, mountaineering, climbing, writing or just escaping to the mountains to relax. It is hard to stay any closer to Rocky Mountain National Park (4 minute drive to the National Park entrance station), but the cabin is also walking distance to a great breakfast burrito, a country market, and a few of Estes Park's best restaurants. An 8 minute drive gets you to downtown Estes Park or the historic Stanley Hotel. The cabin was completely restored in 2019 to modern standards but maintains its character from 1921. Stay connected with good WiFi, listen to music on the stereo (bluetooth or aux plug connection), catch a movie on the Smart Fire TV, or lose yourself in one of the eclectic novels or Rocky Mountain National Park hiking and nature guides. The cabin is located in a small cluster of historic cabins so it is important to respect the neighbors and the wildlife. The cabin is 650 square feet with a living area, dining area, kitchen, bathroom with shower and 2 cozy (small) bedrooms. A rustic porch has incredible mountain views and is a great place to relax.BEDROOMSThe bedrooms are small, cozy, and offer great natural light. One bedroom has a double bed (new Tuft and Needle mattress) and the window faces a small, beautiful meadow that invites elk, deer, bobcats, bears, fox, coyote, and other mountain critters. The other bedroom has a single bed and a single pullout trundle (pictured), and an elk antler door handle.DINING AND LIVING AREASThe dining area includes a large, antique wooden table, pine chairs and an original built-in bench where decades of mountain-goers ate meals, played games and cards (included), and reminisced about great days in nature. The living area couch and reading chair are weathered perfectly and offer mountain views and a comfy place to read or drink a glass of wine. The exquisite stone fireplace was built by a prolific, local mason and serves as the focal point for the cabin interior. A convenient electric fireplace insert provides warmth and ambiance.KITCHENThe kitchen has a distinct cabin charm. Appliances include a gas stove, a small oven, a microwave and a modern retro refrigerator with freezer. The cabin is outfitted with a drip coffee maker and local organic coffee, as well as all the pots, pans, cutlery and dishes for a comfortable stay.GUEST ACCESSGuests have complete access to the property, including the front yard and porch. The property boundary is just beyond the back door, so guests are asked to respect the neighbor's property and not wander into the open meadow behind the house. We have parking for 2 cars.SELECT REVIEWSTyler 11/2020 "This cabin is perfect!!! My family of four had the greatest time. It’s cozy and quaint in a perfect location. Erik was so helpful with check in and the place was spotless. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a little thanksgiving dinner. Such a great place to stay!"Kris 8/2020 "Absolutely perfect location for access to RMNP. Super clean and very cozy. My 12 year old son and had a trip of a lifetime. We would definitely stay here again if we make it back to RMNP again."Courtney 7/2020 "Rivendell is a dream come true. It’s one of the most cozy, unique places I have ever stayed. The view, the wooden craftsmanship touches, the perfect little cabin kitchen, the close proximity to RMNP... I could go on and on about the magic of Erik’s place. I can’t wait to return someday!"Bethany 3/2020 "The cabin was really beyond what I expected. You’re greeted by small Rivendell sign and small stained glass window on the front door on a patio facing the mountains. So there’s a bit of curiosity walking into the place. The cabin itself is stocked with everything you need and then some. I was happy to find some treats waiting for me along with a full bookcase (including Sandra Cisneros)! The bed was comfortable and room was warm. I stayed by myself but it’s a good size for a small family. There are games, a blow dryer, outlets, and some great local tips for your outdoor adventure. Definitely recommend this spot! Extra plus: it was really cool to see the unique and antique features all around this little hobbit house.About pets:No pets allowed.About checkOut:Check out before 10:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About customRules:Be careful to not bother the neighbors.
