"Great lodge with lovely friendly and very helpful staff. Room was comfortable and spotless. Food was delicious and plentiful. Draft Sherpa beers were very welcome. The safaris we did (river and jeep) were unhurried and allowed us to see various animals (rhinos, elephants, deer, monkeys, gharials, crocodiles and various types of bird). Our very knowledgeable naturalist guide, Nabim contributed massively to our enjoyment of the safari experience. Sadly though even he could not conjure up the elusive tigers and the closest we got was a footprint in the mud!"

"Located near Sauraha bazar which is very quite and clean. Surrended by fildes. Great atmosphere. Even can enjoy sunset view. Rooms are specious and clean. But you have to be carefull to take hot shower. If twin or double occupied room advise to take shower after the the interval of at lest half an hour ane after another because they have a small water heater in bathroom which is enough for one person at a time. All te staff at lobby, restaurent other service aria are all friendly and helpfull. Service with smile makes ones stay home away home. Food in the resraurent is also fresh and delicious."

"The Meghauli Serai is set in amazing grounds and views . The entrance overlooks an infinity pool with the jungle in the background . We were fortunate to have Swatika as our guide for the safari drive, walk and boat safari , she is extremely knowleable and engaging . We were lucky enough to see a Tiger , Rhino with calf , Sloth bear monkeys and Deer. Sujan in the restaurant looked after us for all our meals and was very attentive and friendly . The food is amazing and varied , often we just didn’t have the capacity to eat all offerings .All the staff are very attentive and trying to make your stay memorable . The traditional local dancing on our last night was a lovely end to our stay ."

"For the price being charged, you cannot get any better. The resort is nearly brand new. The staff are very attentive and welcoming. Has everything you need from gym, spa and pool. A little out of the centre but the team will drive you into town if the driver is free. The restaurant is very good and slightly higher than the centre of town but the food is quality and freshly made. If you come here you will not regret it."

"How did this hotel even get a 5-star rating?! Did Ctrip even check it? The rating is only 4.8, is it fake? Aside from the restaurant service being relatively friendly (of course, I paid for the meal), everything else is at best a poor 3-star hotel. I initially thought it was just a bit out of the way, and everything else would be fine! Now it seems that apart from the restaurant service, it's completely useless! First of all, the facilities are extremely basic. The bed is just a broken wooden bed, and many pieces of furniture have peeling paint! The wardrobe is unusable; it's filled with random scraps of wood and has obvious water stains. There's a pungent smell as soon as you open the door. The bedding is very rough; I thought there weren't any sheets. The TV is smaller than my computer monitor, and the hot water comes from an old electric water heater; the water gets cold after only 5 minutes of showering! The location is remote; it's impossible to get a taxi to the station. The door handles are rusty, and you need a key to lock the door, which is extremely difficult to open. The door jams quite low, and it takes a lot of effort to open each time. I stayed for two days, and the room wasn't cleaned at all; it was exactly as it was when I left. They didn't clean the bed or replenish amenities. Furthermore, when I booked a travel service at the front desk, they told me to wait while they sent someone to help me. I waited in the restaurant, even tearfully saying I'd wait there, and they still said okay! I waited for over an hour and when I asked how long it would take, they told me it would be three hours later. I was speechless. It's terrible! Absolutely terrible! I always trusted Ctrip's five-star rating system! I thought a 5-star rating plus a 4.8 rating meant everything was fine! This time I've been completely ripped off! It's practically a scam!"

The safari was also excuted beautifully. A special mention to Mr. Sanjay ji, who went above and beyond to make our stay even more memorable. He thoughtfully curated a special breakfast layout within the property and personally helped us spot the rhinos, a moment I will never forget. Overall, a truly memorable and warm Taj experience.
