Historic City of Toledo
生生长在海边的果果I drove from Madrid to Cordoba and visited the ancient city. Due to time constraints, I only visited the cathedral, the San Martin Bridge, and the observation deck. This ancient city is still worth a day to visit.
Cathedral of Toledo
生生长在海边的果果The most worthwhile attraction in the ancient city of Toledo, with a long history and beautiful architecture, is worth a visit. The ancient city of Toledo is also worth a visit, close to Madrid, and one day is enough
Estacion del Ferrocarril
旅旅の径Toledo Railway Station was built in 1858, and the current station building was built in 1919. It was listed as a Spanish national cultural relic in 1991 and became a high-speed railway station after restoration in 2005.
Located on the east side of the ancient city, the station has a construction area of nearly 13,000 square meters and a neo-Moorish architectural style; the dignified and towering bell tower imitates the style of the tower of the ancient city's cathedral; the multi-petal arches and staggered battlement decorations on the top are in line with the ancient city's reputation as a "place where three religious cultures converge."
A series of streamlined high-speed trains carry groups of tourists from Madrid 70 kilometers away... I am impressed by this true "century-long plan."
The Alcázar
旅旅の径Toledo's Alcasar Castle, located at the highest point of the ancient city, the condescending castle, has a long history and a lot of fate. In the third century, a Roman palace was built; in the tenth century, Muslims conquered Toledo and built the ancient city's commanding heights as a fortress; In the eleventh century, Christianity recaptured Toledo and built a castle there; during the reign of Carlos I in the sixteenth century, the castle was converted into a royal palace. His successor, Philip II, moved to Madrid, and the castle lost its original status as a prison, barracks, workshops and army academy. During the Spanish Civil War, the castle was severely damaged in the war. After the war, Franco ordered the castle to be rebuilt and preserved as it was. The castle is now spectacular and still in the same state; the bottom of the castle has a few ruins left for memorial; the main body of the castle has become a military museum and library; On the top floor of the castle, 360° without dead ends will have a panoramic view of the ancient city.
San Martin's Bridge
旅旅の径Located on the west side of the ancient city of Toledo, the San Martin Bridge is a medieval bridge across the Tagus River. Construction began in the 13th century and was completed in the late 14th century.
Two Gothic-style defense towers stand at the bridgehead. The five-arch stone bridge with one large arch and four small arches is similar to the Zhaozhou Bridge in my country.
Looking at the stone bridge, the mottled appearance tells the vicissitudes of history, the city emblem at the bridgehead shows the immortal glory, and the monastery in the distance blooms with a tall figure...
Puerta del Sol
SsculptorThe Puerta del Sol is a city gate in Toledo, Spain, built in the late 14th century. The medallion above the gate's arch depicts the ordination of Ildefonso the Visigothic Goth, the patron saint of Toledo. The gate's name comes from the sun and moon that were once painted on either side of this medallion. The gate got its name because it faced east, where the sun always rose. The gate is no longer there, but the entrance is there.
Monasterio de San Juan de los Reyes
MMaryJoy Dela Cruz GonzalesThe cloisters and church are full of beautiful details, well worth a look. Wonderful old monastery. Although it is a bit far from the center of Toledo, it is worth visiting. The ticket was quite reasonable, only 3 euro per adult.
El Antiguo Convento De Santo Domingo
Ppxy0705The old Monastery of Santo Domingo in Toledo is a monastery with a long history. It has a history of more than 500 years. The whole monastery is white and looks very sacred. The two tall bell towers are its most obvious symbol. The monastery is very large and many pilgrims come here to pray. In the minds of Toledo people, this place is very sacred.

Mirador del Valle
旅旅の径When visiting the ancient city of Toledo, you must check in at the River Valley Lookout before entering the city (or after leaving the city).
The River Valley Lookout is located in the southern mountains outside the ancient city. Climb up the lookout and look north, and you can see the whole picture of the ancient city at a glance:
The towering cathedral and the square castle sit on both sides, the clear Tagus River flows around the city, and various buildings are lined up... A glimpse of two thousand years is unforgettable.
