"Very high vote for in this order Angelo, its availability and this wonderful villa/structure, kept very well, comfortable, clean, spacious, with pool (for use until late), The garden and veranda of charm for aperitives and breakfasts. The structure has no comfortable location in terms of beaches or interesting places a few meters, but it is a great solution as a starting point to visit magnificent places a few minutes by car (e.g. Noto, Modica, Ortigia)."

"We wanted to cancel the booking after reading some bad reviews online but they wouldn't let us. Regardless, we managed our expectations beforehand... Facility: 3/5 very basic. We added an extra bed and they put the smallest single mattress we have ever seen on the side of the room. Cleanliness: 3/5 the floor isn't very clean. We stayed for a few nights but don't think they changed the sheets. View: 4/5 nice view. Beach: 4/5 Direct access to the beach. However, it's public so the beach isn't too clean. Convenience: 2/5 hotel is far from everything. We don't drive so we ended up spending hundreds of euro every day. If you don't have a car, don't stay there. Service: 3/5 receptionists don't speak English very well. Not sure if it's the language barrier but they don't come across as friendly. Breakfast: 2.5/5 very average food for our taste. Limited selections - bacon, scrambled eggs and pastry. P.S. no complimentary water. They charge for the bottled water in the room."

"A real recommendation. Small boutique hotel, right on the beach. We booked the junior suite. The bed was comfortable. A beautiful room with a large terrace. Sun loungers, parasols, etc. ... everything was there. I would particularly like to highlight the friendly and helpful staff. Whether it was the lady at breakfast, the caretaker or the ladies at reception... EVERYONE was super nice. We would love to come back. The only small negative point: the room cannot be darkened properly at night."

"We stayed here it was our first time in Sicily and we had the best time! The breakfast at the hotel was SOOO amazing, delicious croissants, jams, spreads, all kinds of sweet to savory options. The best cheese and meat options and we would do a yummy expresso or cappuccino! The walk to the beach is so short and the hotel is in the perfect location for day trips, we didn’t rent a car as Americans and used taxi, it will be expensive to use a taxi we recommend using a car in Sicily. Such amazing location for traveling Sicily, thank you to the amazing staff Pietro and Seby for helping us organize day trips and taxi rides during our stay! Everyone who works here is so great, Helpful and friendly! We would definitely stay here again, the property is beautiful as well and there’s a sweet pool and lounge area! Rooms are so clean and spotless, outstanding stay! Thanks again from Tanya and Kev :)"

"B&B 5min from the nearest entrance to the beach. Silent place and large common spaces. Franco and Marianna, owners, friendly people, careful to our needs and ready to quickly solve any inconvenience. No problem to provide us for all our stay with a parasol and a chair for the beach. Full breakfast with salt and, above all, sweet. Perfect and efficient room re-installation service. Wearing change on request and anyway every 4 days. Spartan but air-conditioned room, with TV and fridge. Large bathroom with a capable shower box. Surely excellent experience for the price paid, especially for the reception of owners."

"Not at all what was shown on the pictures. We had booked a room with direct access to the beach, and it was said that the hotel offered sunbeds and umbrellas. These had to be booked early in the morning at a cost of 15 Euros. The beach was a public beach and we experienced people sitting practically at our door step. We were staying over a weekend and also a public holiday, the beach was packed with people. The beach was also partly cover in seaweed. We were informed that it would be cleaned after the weekend, but didn’t happen until Wednesday, and it was not completely cleaned. There is a nice restaurant on the roof, but no other restaurant in the neighborhood. Do not stay here unless you have a car. Breakfast was excellent, amongst the very best we have seen in Italy."

"On July 20th with my wife and son we were supposed to leave Milan, (ITA flight), for Catania. The program would have been three days on the slopes of Etna and four in Fontane Bianche, at the Stella di Mare residence, check in and check out scheduled: 23/7-27/7. Unfortunately, on July 19th, the travel agency we had used for the entire package informed us that the flight had been canceled due to the now famous fire at Catania airport. The airport was initially supposed to be back in operation before July 19th...but unfortunately things turned out differently. Various proposals to postpone the departure by a few days, (among other things without any guarantee of restoring airport activity), were no longer compatible either with the days of holiday we had available, nor with the type of holiday we had dreamed of... It is paid! Therefore, with a heavy heart, we canceled the entire holiday. As you can imagine, a cancellation so late usually involves no refund from the structures contacted. …….this at least in a “normal” context. I wouldn't exactly define the disaster at Catania airport as a "normal" context. We asked the Residence Stella di Mare, through the travel agency and also directly if they could at least give us a partial voucher that we could use later... but to no avail! They applied the regulation to the letter and didn't give us any credit! (we are talking about around 800 euros). For the record... the first hotel where we were supposed to stay for the first three days... very nobly kept only the amount of the first night. Personally I believe that the management of the Stella di Mare Residence could have made a "small" effort, gaining both in terms of image and as a structure promoting tourism in Sicily. Instead, the regulation was followed "scrupulously" and conveniently, despite the "exceptional" circumstances. So what about the Residence Stella di Mare...I can't say anything because I haven't been there! I only suggest to someone interested to go there……. to ensure that there are no imminent natural disasters, meteor showers, alien invasions... could be considered irrelevant circumstances in case of cancellation of the stay! David"
