Discovery Parks - Grampians ★★★

"This holiday park is in a beautiful location with the craggy mountains of The Grampians overlooking our cabin and kangaroos munching grass outside. Although the cabin was a bit the worse for wear, it had everything we needed. Our biggest concern was that we were not able to charge our electric car from either our cabin or a vacant caravan site as we have been able to do at every other holiday park we have visited. We were told that it would overload the electrical circuit in our villa which shows a complete lack of knowledge of EVs which would use only 10amps when charging overnight when very few appliances are being used. We have not recommended this holiday park on EV Facebook forums."

"It was sparkling clean, had all the kitchen equipment we needed and some basic condiments. Loved the hot tub and massage chair! There were also laundry facilities available - and we saw a kangaroo pack right behind the laundry room."

Marwood Villas ★★★★

"The villas are located in a beautiful complex surrounded by forest, where you can start a nature walk right outside your door, or reach the town center with just a 20-minute walk. The villa itself is spacious and comfortable, a real pleasure to stay in—especially with a crackling fire in the fireplace, a soak in the jacuzzi, or when a kangaroo comes up to the window. Spotless cleanliness and a well-equipped kitchen, complete with thoughtful extras for a continental breakfast."

Halls Gap Tavern ★★

"We arrived at the tavern with tempered expectations, but the room was even more disappointing than anticipated. Here are a few of the major issues: Ventilation: The room lacked proper ventilation, feeling more like a makeshift cardboard box than a comfortable accommodation. The single door to the common area couldn't be left open for privacy reasons, making it impossible to dry towels or air out the room. Bathroom Hazard: The towel rack was dangerously loose, with exposed nails that could have caused serious injury. Despite attempts to secure it, it remained unstable. Shower Malfunction: The showerhead was constantly falling off, making showering an unpleasant and inconvenient experience. Service: While we understand this is a tavern, there was no clear point of contact for basic requests like extra pillows or waste removal. The only positive aspect of our stay was the location. I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone unless they have no other options."
