Hotels in West Lake, Lingyin Temple Scenic Area, Hangzhou

The room was very clean, and the hotel owner was incredibly welcoming. They even offered complimentary samples of Jiu Qu Hong Mei tea on the first floor, which was a nice touch. I had a great stay and will definitely come back again.

Hangzhou Xihu State Guest House is absolutely worth staying at! The room is spacious, and the facilities are very high-end. The bedding is so comfortable I wish I could take it home. You can see the lake right from the hotel, and waking up to the misty West Lake in the morning brings a sense of tranquility. The kids absolutely loved it; there's a big lawn in the courtyard for them to run around, and a small pond to watch fish. The staff were also very patient with the children. The West Lake醋鱼 (vinegar fish) and mushroom rice at Zicui Hall were authentic and delicious, and the antique-style ambiance made for a very satisfying meal. The concierge service was thoughtful, helping us with our luggage to the room and providing a map. Overall, it was a perfect experience, and I'll definitely come back. The guest relations team even proactively provided toiletries for the kids and summarized the operating hours and locations of various facilities within the hotel, which was incredibly thoughtful and considerate. The hotel breakfast was also quite diverse. All in all, it was a very comfortable stay and highly recommended.

The room is close to Yue Fei Temple and Quyuan Garden, making it easy to walk to both with kids. It's also fairly close to the bus stop. The mattress and pillows weren't too soft; they offered good support, which was much more comfortable than many hotels I've stayed in before, exceeding my expectations for a good night's sleep. However, it's a bit far from the subway station, and the hotel is located in an alley within an old residential area, so the immediate surroundings aren't great. Overall, it's decent and I'd still recommend it, especially if you plan on spending a lot of time at the two aforementioned attractions.

The last night of our family's (three generations, six people) trip to Hangzhou, we moved to this hotel from the West Lake area. We initially chose it for its proximity to Lingyin Temple, but it exceeded our expectations in every way! The hotel environment is very cozy, with a B&B-like feel. There's an ancient ginkgo tree and a 'Red Maiko' (a type of maple) in the courtyard. This little yard must be absolutely stunning in autumn! The surrounding area is superb; staying in Maojiabu feels like sleeping amidst beautiful scenery. Right outside, there's a lakeside boardwalk, making you feel like you've stepped into a 'Wizard of Oz' setting. Listening to the cicadas and frogs, watching the egrets and wild ducks – every single frame is a therapeutic sight. Getting around is also very convenient. The bus stop is only about 50 meters from the hotel entrance, and it's just two stops to Lingyin East. Shared bikes are also available, and cycling along the lake is a great option. There are also less-known attractions nearby, like Guo Zhuang, which are worth a visit. For nearby food, I recommend Guyiwan Wonton Noodle Restaurant, and the local farm-to-table restaurants are also quite good, with decent flavors. The front desk staff (both the young man and young woman) provided thoughtful service. The young man helped carry our luggage 🧳 to the second floor and adjusted the air conditioning for the elderly. The young woman patiently answered all our questions and even kindly offered free drinking water after we checked out. Before we left, they even gave us two fans as a gift. It was truly a wonderfully pleasant stay!

On August 20, 2026, I took my child to Hangzhou and pre-booked the Orange Crystal Hangzhou West Lake Nanshan Road Hotel on Ctrip. We arrived at the hotel at 4 PM, and the front desk staff greeted us warmly. Since I was with my child, the hotel upgraded us directly to a deluxe terrace room, adjusted the breakfast price for the next day, and even gave my child a welcome gift, which made my child very happy. The hotel is very close to West Lake. Since it was my child's first time in Hangzhou, I took them on an evening tour of West Lake. The hotel arranged for a driver to take us directly to the intersection of Nanshan Road and Jiefang Road. Along the way, the driver told us about places to visit in Hangzhou, and upon arrival, he explained how to get to the tourist pier and gave us tips on how to catch a taxi back. Hangzhou left us with an excellent first impression on this trip. After the night tour of West Lake, we returned to the hotel. The room was clean and tidy, with a terrace outside the French windows. Nanshan Road was beyond the terrace, but the soundproofing was excellent, and it wasn't noisy at all. It rained in Hangzhou that night, and staying in the hotel, watching the rain on the terrace outside the window, was truly delightful.

Absolutely loved the decor! It's exactly my style – vibrant and colorful. You can tell the host put a lot of thought into every detail. The place has all the appliances and toiletries you could need, including a hairdryer and a full tea set with complimentary tea for guests. They really don't skimp on the details. The environment is quiet and peaceful, not noisy at all. Sitting in the courtyard in the evening, sipping tea and watching the sunset was incredibly relaxing. A special shout-out to the host, who was super friendly, patient, and incredibly attentive. He explained every single detail during check-in, even helping to change the mosquito repellent and plug it in! 👍 I'll definitely be recommending this place to all my friends who visit! 😆

Had a wonderful stay here! The location is super close to Lingyin Temple, which saved us the trouble of not being able to get a taxi into the main area early in the morning. It's just a pleasant 10-minute walk to Lingyin. Remember to book your park entry tickets in advance! Both the breakfast and afternoon tea were excellent. The seasonal sweet soup on the first night was delicious and light. The afternoon tea set was beautiful and tasty, and we even spotted some little squirrels! I'd definitely choose this hotel again next time.

An experience that exceeded my expectations! I'm so glad I chose this newly opened place after spending several days researching. ▪️The guesthouse has dedicated parking, and a manager showed you to your room after parking. The room was spacious, with lush greenery outside the window. I especially loved the corner with the sofa and the sheer curtains; it had a lovely feel. My favorite part was the small hot tub; it was very spacious, and the view through the blinds was beautiful. ▫️The room was very clean and full of thoughtful details. The mini-bar had a wide selection of drinks and some Sam's Club snacks. The vanity even had hair clips and ties, which were a pleasant surprise since I'd forgotten mine. I also loved the bedding color; it wasn't pure white, but a warm beige that harmonized perfectly with the overall room color scheme. ▪️I'm very sensitive to sound and light when I sleep, and the hotel's soundproofing was excellent. I couldn't hear much noise from other rooms or the street outside. The curtains were floor-length, so not much light came in in the morning, except for the blinds in the private hot tub, which were quite bright, though some light still peeked through the seams. Breakfast was delivered; apart from the noodles being a little cold, my husband and I thought the other dishes were good, and the cherry tomatoes were delicious!

This Jiangnan-style courtyard hotel is very unique and charming. The service was excellent; the front desk staff proactively offered electric cart rides, helped with luggage, and we even had welcome fruits in our room. Although we arrived late and missed afternoon tea, the staff gave us two coffee vouchers for beautifully latte-art adorned coffees, which was a nice touch. The breakfast selection wasn't huge, but everything was delicious 😋. Our stay was short, and it rained in the morning, otherwise, a run around the area would have been lovely. Two suggestions for the room design: 1. There was no luggage rack, so our bags, clothes, and other items had nowhere to be placed. 2. There was no bath mat when showering, leading to a slippery floor and a risk of falling.

We stayed in Building 1. The bathroom felt recently renovated and was quite new. The toiletries were Guerlain, and the toothpaste was Yunnan Baiyao – excellent! The mini-bar was free, but we didn't have time to drink anything. However, the complimentary fruit basket was fantastic, filled with seasonal fruits of high quality – thumbs up! The hotel breakfast leaned more towards Chinese style, with a wide variety of dim sum, congee, noodles, and whole grains. I noticed the coffee machine even listed the origin of the beans, which showed great attention to detail. I enjoyed a cup every day. We used the complimentary travel photography service provided by the hotel. The process was clear, the service was good, and it didn't disrupt our itinerary. I hadn't planned on spending any money, but the photos turned out great, and I loved how the makeup artist did my hair. So, I ended up buying a few photos, which I think was well worth it. I originally thought a state guesthouse might have service issues, but that wasn't the case at all. Everyone we encountered during our two-day stay was very friendly. I'd say the service was exceptionally good.
