"The hotel's close proximity to the station makes getting around incredibly convenient. The room was clean and well-maintained. It's within walking distance to Takeo City Library and Takeo Onsen, and there are plenty of great dining options nearby. The Wagyu beef was excellent value for money, and I'd definitely recommend trying the local sake too."

"The hotel is a tatami room, and the service was excellent. I arrived early, left my luggage at the front desk, and when I returned in the evening, it was already in my room and the bed was made. The front desk staff were very helpful in microwaving my own bento box. The hotel lobby was decorated warmly, with beautifully arranged fresh flowers throughout. Breakfast was served individually, but unfortunately, there was no milk."

"The hotel lobby is decorated with many vintage European items, which are exquisite. The lobby music is romantic. The rooms are spacious and the air conditioning is comfortable. The hot spring bath leaves the skin smooth and the mind refreshed. Although the breakfast selection is limited, the quality is better than many five-star hotels."

If you demand a high level of service, our guests have indicated that this hotel has excellent standards.
"Takeo City, located in Saga Prefecture, Kyushu, doesn't have a huge number of places to visit, but it's enough for a day trip. This hotel is only a 7-minute drive from the city center. Located on a hilltop, it appears to be a renovated old hotel, but the design is quite modern and minimalist. The rooms are spacious, and the onsen (hot spring) and sauna are excellent. Be sure to book breakfast in advance when booking this hotel; the Japanese breakfast is very plentiful and I still enjoy it. A few minutes down the slope from the hotel is OND Park, a large campsite that hides an award-winning OND sauna. While OND Hotel guests don't get free access to the sauna, you can purchase a one-day pass to try it out."

Traveling to the hotel is easy with Takeo-Onsen Station located approximately 3km away and Saga Airport roughly 35km away. The nearby area boasts an abundance of attractions including OND PARK, Couple Cypress (Meoto Hinoki) - Matching God Tree and Takeokeirinjo Park. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. This Takeo hotel offers parking on site.
"The hotel staff are very polite and the environment is very clean. My favorite drink bar. The hotel also has free massage chairs. The dry and wet saunas are also very comfortable. If I go to Takeo Onsen next time, I will definitely stay here again!"

"Value for money. Basic ryokan with onsen. No convenience stores or shops nearby - need to drive out of you need anything to eat. Amenities in the ryokan not as luxurious as others that I have been to before. We booked the breakfast and dinner option too - there is lot of food but quality of the food is ok only. Nothing to scream about but you will be very full. 😂"

"Very traditional Japanese-style hot spring hotel. Although there is no large bath, the three private soup experiences that can be used freely are still very good. The most commendable thing about the hotel is the food cuisine. It is recommended by Michelin. Every meal is amazing and praiseworthy. Every time I go to Japan, I will stay at the hot spring hotel. This experience can be said to be the best. Very recommended."

The historic inn “Kagetsu Taishokan” in Takeo City is conveniently located just a 1-minute walk from the Takeo Onsen Gate and a 6-minute walk to Maruyama Park. It's also a convenient base for sightseeing, being about a 13-minute walk to the Takeo City Tourist Information Center and a 20-minute walk to Takeo Jinjya Meals are reservation-based according to the plan, and we offer plans including both dinner and breakfast. For dinner, we serve kaiseki cuisine, carefully prepared dish by dish to highlight the natural flavors of locally sourced ingredients. A hearty Japanese breakfast is also provided.
On-site parking is available (limited spaces). Guest rooms are equipped with a minibar and complimentary WiFi. Some rooms feature semi-open-air bathrooms with hot spring baths and showers, complete with complimentary toiletries. Each room includes a telephone and a safety deposit box, with daily housekeeping service provided.

"Location: it was a 15 minutes walk from the JR station and when we left the hotel, they had a free shuttle service. The hotel is next to the famous gate and a tofu ice cream dessert place which was great.
Food: dinner and breakfast inclusive hotel room, both were fantastic
Rooms: clean and big
Onsen: it was a bit small but did have an outdoor onsen, there was no water dispenser so cannot hydrate afterwards"

"The hotel has only 10 rooms, the facilities are new, 10 points clean, Japanese style and wind, there is a massage function in the open air, the staff is 10 points good, will call to remind you to eat dinner and breakfast, originally need to leave the hotel early, can not enjoy dinner, The hotel specially arranged breakfast at an early time, very considerate service. And the quality of the food is very high. The water pressure is enough. Arranged to eat in a separate room, private feeling 10 points is sufficient."
