"Stunning location and exceptionally friendly staff team. Right beside two major lifts up to Idalp. Easy check in. Rooms have the most amazing view. The rooftop pool and jacuzzi warm and great fun in the snow. The new spa area is lovely. Don’t miss out on the Apres snacks in the bar, which is stunning with great slop views. Brilliant ski locker with no stairs to navigate. Each room has a spacious heated locker. The food is so nice with a different focus every night. Mohammad and the rest of the lovely team looked after us very well. Would definitely return. Service is excellent and there is a lovely relaxed family atmosphere throughout the hotel. It’s right beside the connecting tunnel to the rest of the village. Lots of hire stores, Apres bars and a supermarket near by."

"Booked as part of a ski package with Ski Crystal. This hotel is the best hotel I've Stayed in on a ski holiday. The accommodation was clean, comfortable with good bathrooms and plenty of hot water for after the skiing. The staff from reception to the waiting staff, bar staff and cleaners were friendly and efficient and excellent at their jobs. Best was the food! The breakfasts were outstanding, with a huge choice of fruits, cheeses, meats, beautiful breads, fruit juices of your choice, cooked food and then the granola/muesli bar - unbelievable! Dinner was exceptional, with 5 courses every night, with great choice, plus cheeseboard . Delicious and beautifully presented . Such good value too and Ischgl is a great resort for the intermediate/advanced skier. A great infrastructure, no queues and quiet pistes. We loved it!"

"We booked a high-end family ski vacation months in advance, expecting a certain level of service, fairness, and understanding. Unfortunately, when war broke out in Israel and flights were severely disrupted, we were left with no realistic way to travel. Despite providing clear evidence that we physically could not reach Austria, the hotel chose to completely ignore the situation. Instead of offering a reasonable solution such as postponing our stay to the next season they insisted on rigid cancellation terms and offered only a very limited rescheduling window that was not practical for a family trip. We Booked 1 Suit and 3 Deluxe Room for 12 people !!!!!!!! They surprisingly got to fill in our room in the amount that gives them 90% cancellation with our 40% down payment, How convenient. for any emails or calls - i will be happy to show and explain this shame to whom ever would like to book . warm tip - read their cancellation policy and add in your booking confirmation all risks such as war, illness, air planes that are shut down and you can not take off from you country etc.. otherwise , say goodbye to your money ."

"It was our second stay at this magnificent hotel located in the central part of Ischgl. Skiing from this location is easy, 5 minutes away from the lift in the morning, and 2 minutes walk in the afternoon if you follow the piste to Hotel Post (neighbor hotel. Room are excellent and well equipped. The ski locker facilities are outstanding in every way. The spa is also worth a visit indeed. The restaurant and the food has a very high standard and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The sun terrace is a nice place to stay in the afternoon for a cold beer."

"The best accommodation. The best receptionist PIA, ever seen before. She is very professional, helpful, client oriented and polite. She help us to sorted out the big problem with rented by SIXT car. She was always on a phone using her knowledges of law and rights in Österreich. She was always did a job not under her responsibilities in order to help us. I believe that the hotel management take into account our review of PIA. The hotel is super, nice food, perfect location and hospitality!!! Next year definitely to Ischgl to Fliana hotel!!!"

"I can highly recommend this wonderful hotel. Impeccable service throughout. Especially guest arrangements by Julia and concierge by Moritz. The rooms are large and stylish. Spotlessly clean. The dining facilities are superb. Wonderful breakfast both a la carte and buffet. Delicious food in the dining room. They organised everything for us, be it collection from the airport, ski instructor (Christian Pfeiffer is exceptional), ski passes and equipment. All simple and seamless. They also have a fantastic spa. Moritz booked wonderful restaurants for us each night. Great dining at the 5 star hotel next door. That was magnificent. Also Lucy Wang (sushi / Asian) and Prenner ranked as outstanding. And as I mentioned the hotel itself has excellent food and service. We could not recommend this hotel more highly."

"Very arrogant service coming from the top management of the hotel. Senior hotel staff cater to a select few local "royalties" by assigning them the best rooms, centrally located tables at the restaurant and going out their way in meeting their every wish. All other (especially new and non-German speaking) guests are completely ignored and are relegated to the far south corner of the hotel with cheap tiles on the floor and even cheaper and tasteless art on the walls. It has a look and feel of a 3* property at best with the view of a fence and a parking lot. The manager of the restaurant is the worst. Self-important, never says yes to anything and seems annoyed at most clients' requests. Unacceptable. There are a few nice junior staff who are trying their best but their good efforts are easily overshadowed by the factors mentioned above. For this money there are plenty of other places with the right attitude and service."

"A beautiful and really unique hotel right in the centre of Ischgl. I have stayed in Ischgl many times & the standard of accommodation is very high in general. This was my first time in the Goldener Adler and it is by far my favourite. The design and decor is a very clever combination of old world and new, architecturally designed and thought out in great detail. The room was so comfortable; beds and bed linen were of a really high quality, the robes were plush, and shower excellent. There is a lovely bar just off the lobby with various seating areas to choose from. The bar staff were really efficient and we had some excellent cocktails there. We opted for half board which I’d say is a must. The food is excellent, extensive breakfast buffet with everything you could think of, including a hot buffet and an omelette menu. At dinner there are superb choices of meat, fish game etc, and always an excellent vegetarian option each evening. As with all the staff in the hotel ( including the cleaning staff), the waiting staff were friendly and capable, nothing seemed like too much trouble. The family who run this hotel are very welcoming and there is a lovely atmosphere here. Many of the staff have been there long term. A lovely plate of cold meats and cheeses were left in our room as we had a late arrival. There is a wonderful spa area on the ground floor, once again the marriage of the old and modern is done seamlessly here, lots of dark stone and pale wood, steam rooms, saunas, hot and cod baths, a small pool, a really tranquil relaxation area, make time to fit it all in."

The staff are the warmest and kindest I ever seen, always going out of their ways to help - and I mean it literally - whenever we asked where something was or needed help with something in the room, they walked with us the entire way, always with a smile, even if it was in the other side of the hotel, and made sure we got all the help we needed (and more) really amazing! thank you all! The staff at the breakfast/dinner restaurants were also amazing - all the waiters (just to mention a few - Richard and Umberto) were very kind, explaining the dishes and always checking if we need anything The food is amazing - both the breakfast and the dinner - very high quality and variety The hotel is beautifully decorated, with great attention to details It has all the amenities needed for a perfect ski vacation - located right across the Silvretta lift The spa and the outside pool are great (although it could be a little hotter I believe)"

"In the past, this was a very classy hotel; nowadays, it's filled with noisy Russians and Romanians. The breakfast is meager, nothing special, just some toast with egg. It's best to skip the evening dinner; I've never experienced anything so mediocre. Instead, book a table at a good restaurant in the village. The management, along with a team of five, loudly convene meetings in the lobby, where guests would normally sit. They discuss finances loudly, brainstorming potential improvements to make more money. It's incredibly antisocial and a very odd situation for guests trying to read a book nearby. I would suggest investing in a proper meeting room. It has become a village solely for single men; women are as rare as hen's teeth. The après-ski venues have turned into a sort of meat market, making your wife feel uncomfortable quickly. Ischgl is no longer the charming family ski resort it used to be. It has turned into a bull's fest, ending in nightly brawls with glasses flying around in the après-ski bars. We won't be going next year."
