📍 2 Vilnay Street, Jerusalem

"* WARNING* DO NOT BELIEVE ANY POSITIVE REVIEWS ON HERE. This place is a run down dump in urgent need of a full refurbishment! 4* Hotel? More like 1* Motel. The room we stayed in was filthy with stains all over carpets and blood, nails and hair under the bed sheets! The wood cladding and grout was mouldy and beds had seen more bottoms then a park bench, making them lumpy and hard. With all this in mind the staff at the desk did their best to help and offered us a refund (Which we took and ran for the hills) If you live in a mud hut this place might just do, but if not AVOID AT ALL COSTS"

The American Colony Hotel - Small Luxury Hotels of the World ★★★★★

📍 Louis Vincent St 1, Jerusalem

"The American Colony is one of my favorite places in the world — a sanctuary of calm, history, and elegance. Every time I stay here, I’m reminded why it’s such a rare gem. It has become my home away from home with the most brilliant staff on the planet who give this already special hotel a beautiful touch. Breakfast in the courtyard is one of life’s simple pleasures — strong Arabic coffee, fresh pastries, and the sound of the fountains mingling with morning conversation. The evenings are equally magical; the bar, with its mix of locals, correspondents, and travelers, feels like a salon of ideas. It’s just magical in every way!"

📍 Ben Sira St 16, Jerusalem

"We went to Zahara restaurant in the Nuchu hotel. Nicely decorated but the music was too loud so the manager did turn it down. The waitress seemed inexperienced. She asked us right away what we wanted to order before even bringing us water so I had to ask the bartender for water. Also the cocktails took 25 minutes to arrive. The menu only served beef, one fish dish and goose. I had the crispy goose leg salad with mint leaves. Quite tasty but hardly crispy. Then for mains we had goose breast and beef entrecôte which was prepared well except I wasn’t crazy about the beet cream. What was weird was we noticed the other side of the patio had white tablecloths. Ours didn’t. Typical upscale Israeli restaurant. Better than most."

Notre Dame Center ★★★★

📍 HaTsanhanim St 3, Jerusalem

"We did not stay at the Notre Dame Guest House; however, we attended mass there and ate at the rooftop restaurant twice during our five-day stay in Jerusalem. We met a friendly priest at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher who told us about the Notre Dame Guest House. It was a Sunday evening, and we were looking for a mass. He recommended Notre Dame. We attended a beautiful service and then explored the facility. We returned the following night for dinner, saw our priest friend again, took photos of his group on the rooftop, and joined them for mass at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher the following days. We looked at brochures showing us the rooms at the Notre Dame Guest House, which looked lovely. The grounds are beautiful, the staff friendly, and it has two restaurants, a coffee shop, and a chapel where they say mass. It's perfect. Additionally, it's across the street from the New Gate into Old Jerusalem. It's a great location. "

Prima Park Hotel Jerusalem ★★★★
"Mediocre hotel, lack of parking which might create a problem, Parking in the distance and in blue and white (paid parking). The food is reasonable minus and was missing and ran out even though we arrived on time it was not available and in addition some food were before the end of the meal. The floor in some parts of the cafeteria is crooked and things spill and it's hard to eat there. The room was clean and tidy to a good standard, the fridge was broken and crooked. I think that the price is reasonable. The lobby - is quiet and pleasant Excellent location near Kiryat Moshe light rail station. On the other hand the hotel is located on the main road with noise at night"

"A small hotel in the heart of the city, in the middle of the old market, very close to the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound. Breakfast is not included. The hotel is very clean and modern. Choose rooms with a balcony overlooking the Dome of the Rock; they are beautiful."

"⭐☆☆☆☆ DO NOT RECOMMEND The worst hotel experience ever! At 1:00 AM we had to move through 3 different rooms because none of them had working air conditioning. In reality, the AC was controlled by the hotel through an app on their phone, and they turned it off at night and in the morning whenever they wanted. When we called the reception, the shocking answer was: “just sleep like that until 10 AM when the manager comes.” On top of that, the minibar fridge in the room was plugged in but completely empty — a useless decoration. This is unacceptable — paying guests should never be treated this way. Zero respect, zero service, zero professionalism. ⚠️ I strongly advise everyone to avoid this hotel!"

"I stayed at the hotel this long weekend, unfortunately the hotel does not have a satisfactory arrangement for parking. The parking is privately managed - at least that's what they say, and each entry and exit from the parking lot costs dozens of shekels. For example, I stayed at the hotel for about 4 hours - I was charged 70 shekels, and again, God forbid, the entire trip. Unfortunately, the cost of parking during my stay was more than 300 shekels, which I don't pay in New York... I hope the hotel will get better and change this flawed procedure. Other than that, everything was good.."
