"I stayed at Hood House for three nights whilst attending a conference in Kassel. The location is central (on Königsplatz) with access to restaurants, shops and cafes as well as public transport. The location is not the poshes corner of Kassel. There was a fair bit of police presence until late at night in surrounding streets but it didn’t feel unsafe at all. Access to the accommodation is fully contactless, including check-in. An electronic key is issued on check in, accessible on your phone and there is also the possibility of issuing a key card on a self-check-in kiosk. The day I arrived the server was down and we had to wait for about an hour to receive help from a nearby partner hotel. Once that was rectified, the experience was smooth. The accommodation may not be suitable for non-tech savvy travellers though. My appartment (500) was modern, clean and spacious with a queen bed and a bed sofa in the living area. This would sleep up to 4 in comfort. The kitchenette is equipped with the basics plus a Nespresso coffee machine. There is a laundry room with washing machine and dryer as well as an ironing board on the 5th floor. There are no other amenities in the building, however there is a gym (All Inclusive Fitness) in one of the malls across the road that has day passes (Tageskarte) for under €10."

"The rooms 1103 and 1105 both are amazing. Two bedded suites . The second toilet with wash basin is extra convenience. The best breakfast in any hotel. Pity the restaurant is being renovated which is a shame as we read some positive reviews and wanted to try it out. The tram card is indeed very useful extra."

"Check-in is open until 11 PM. All doors are code-operated; there are no more room keys. The location is not good. It's far from the city center, about a 20-minute walk. When I arrived, the window was open and there were mosquitoes in the room. I stayed there for three nights, and room service never came once. Absolutely unacceptable. Since I was on a business trip and would have preferred not to use the same towel three times, I was very disappointed. In addition, the staff is very noisy, and the building is poorly soundproofed. There is also no luggage storage. I had to drag my suitcase around the city all day. Not recommended."

"It was cheap and ok for that. It is like all ibis but a bit tired. Hotel is on an industrial site, not by main road so no road noise. The double bed (king size -uk) was ok but the mattress went up at the foot end. There was a spare foam pillow in the wardrobe. There is mild soap in the bathroom by the basin and in the shower, both in bottle dispensers. Flat screen tv but didn’t turn it on. No tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms. The bathroom is a pod in the corner of the room, it’s in a semi circle, basic but clean. Breakfast looked really basic and was €11 pp so we ate at a bistro on the way to the Schloss €5.50 for full continental and €2.50 cappuccino. "

If you're missing anything, such as tea towels, hand towels, or toilet paper, you can collect it yourself from the laundry room.
